ESPN UK Airs The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale Live on Sunday Morning by MMAjunkie.com Staff on Dec 02, 2009 at 3:25 pm ET
Fight fans in the United Kingdom can rejoice; The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale will air live after all.
After initial confusion and apparently no plans for a broadcast, UFC UK President Marshall Zelaznik today confirmed the event is slated to air live on ESPN UK.
The event, which takes place Dec. 5 at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, airs early Sunday morning (late Saturday night), Dec. 6 at 2 a.m. GMT on ESPN UK. The event airs in the U.S. on Spike TV at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
Zelaznik posted the news on his personal Facebook page, and the UFC UK's office today posted a release with information about the weekend broadcast.
The event airs in the late-night timeslot because of the five-hour difference between the U.S. and U.S. East Coast.
A replay of the event airs Thursday, Dec. 10, at 10:45 p.m. GMT on the FIVE USA channel in the U.K. The Ultimate Fighter 10 concludes the current heavyweights-only season of the UFC's reality series. In addition to the two finalists, a host of other cast members, including Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson, compete on the night's undercard. Matt Hamill and Jones Jones meet in the night's light heavyweight main event.
Good news for the UK fans here.
