You sir must not know anything outside of the UFC. Nelson is a good fighter, look back to his IFL days, but your probably a person who thinks everyone outside the UFC is a joke. He clearly beat Monson but got screwed, and the Rothwell fight was close, i think he won. He did get ko'd in the arlovski fight but the standup was BS. But he for sure isn't a joke. But some people are just ignorant. Oh really, just because I expressed my dislike for someone makes me unknowledgable of MMA? Well, I guess you're right when you say that some people are just ignorant. Roy Nelson may have won some fights back in IFL, but everyone knows how corrupt IFL and EliteXC was so don't even get me started. And the only thing that Roy showed me in TUF is that he thinks he's the poop when he hasn't done anything amazing. I admit, that knock out of Shaub was pretty cool, but besides that, he is a boring fighter and isn't going to amount to anything in the UFC. Mark my words. How is he boring? Most of his fights were finished. You must of watched only his TUF fights. He is not a boring fighter he trys to finish it's not like he lays and prays. And it's not like he sucks. He's a black belt under Renzo Gracie, and beat Frank Mir in Grappling. Your making it seem like he has no chance against top UFC Heavyweights when he clearly does. |

Actually it's probably because your opinions are f*cking completely ridiculous. Downright intellectually- disabled, in fact. Really he's just giving you the benefit of the doubt, because for anyone to say what you've said either has to not know what they're talking about or be completely unreceptive to anything that makes even the tiniest semblance of sense. Because what's especially funny and quite intellectually- disabled about this point is that the only questionable situations in the IFL or EliteXC involving Roy Nelson, were, in fact, to the advantage of Roy Nelson's opponent. Roy Nelson clearly won a decision in the IFL over Ben Rothwell, and then lost on a BS call. This was nothing to do with the IFL, but it did happen. Also, in Roy's fight with Andrei Arlovski in EliteXC, he had Arlovski set-up for a Kimura from side control and the official stood them up. Completely ridiculous call that, again, was at the expense of Roy Nelson. But why would you think the IFL is corrupt or EliteXC? Sure there's been some questionable statements and things, but nothing ever proven. So why so certain? Oh maybe it could be because *Gasp* Dana White said so? That sounds about right. Love to see another pathetic, uninformed Dana White nuthugger with absolutely no understanding of MMA or the martial arts that have been assimilated within it hopping on these boards so they can express their ridiculously stupid opinions. Fantastic. And the only thing that Roy showed me in TUF is that he thinks he's the poop when he hasn't done anything amazing. Funny, Dana White said that too. Hrm. But then again, I forgot. I'm sure MMA to you is, as Mike Goldberg would put it, "two guys ready to stand and bang". Why deal with any of that... GRAPPLING. The horror!  I mean, christ, why would anyone decide to take an opponent down and easily secure one of the most dominant positions in all of martial arts en-route to an easy win that you walk out of with zero injuries for a fight you're going to have in three days when you can spend three rounds kickboxing with a bunch of scrubs and risk a multitude of potentially career ending injuries? I admit, that knock out of Shaub was pretty cool OMG THE DUDEZ KNOCKED THE OTHER DUDEZ OUT MMA LEMME BUY A TAPOUT SHIRT but besides that, he is a boring fighter and isn't going to amount to anything in the UFC. Just because I'm new doesn't mean I cant appriciate it, I'm not one of those people who if its not a knockout, i'm pissed, I mean yeah, knock outs are cool, but so is the struggle for position in the grapple, and landing elbows and such whlie doing that. the only time its boring is when all they do is pass gaurd back to gaurd for the whole time...but then it usually stood up. geez, way to encourage people to become fans |

Yeah, he's a good fighter. Not the most exciting I've seen, but very smart, as someone said, he did a great job of winning without taking alot of damage. But I find him annoying, and a douchebag, so i was rooting against him...although I wasn;t a big Schaub fan either, so it was kinda meh |

Yeah well, I think John Cena is a douche and I hate that  ing guy. He's the sole reason I stopped watching wrestling. He literally ruined it for me. I can't stand that ing idiot. I don't know who I hate more, John Cena or Kimbo Slice. They are both horrible. Wrestling was great until that douchebag came along. It's been going WAY downhill for a while now. Wrestling is just not what it used to be. WAY too much storyline crap. And it doesn't help it's PG either. As long as Cena is there, I will NOT watch. I can guarantee you that. I have ZERO interest in seeing that ing douchebag. |

You realize criticizing someone for an opinion that criticizes an opinion... is criticizing an opinion, right? People have just as much right to their opinion that someone else's opinion is foolish as that person has the right to have a foolish opinion. More importantly, this is a discussion forum. The definition of discussion is; an act or instance of discussing; consideration or examination by argument, comment, etc., esp. to explore solutions; informal debate.Why is it looked down upon to provide a counter argument, especially when the discussion began with someone stating opinions that had no factual basis or legs to stand on? If I sat here and wrote that the holocaust never happened, are you saying people don't have a right to point out the facts that prove it's existence as well as criticize me for not having researched those facts myself? |

I happen dislike Roy Nelson. big whoop. we are all allowed to like and dislike people. thats how being a fan works. And, Kimbo is why I started watching MMA...I wanted to see what the hoopla was about. He was the gateway. Now I've discovered fighters like Nate The Great. I still like Kimbo, but he's got ALOT of work to do. But he's very humble, which I admire. Unlike Nelson, who acts like he's the best thing in MMA. |
