Kind of ironic that this will be on the 11 year anniversary of the Fingerpoke of Doom

Kind of ironic that this will be on the 11 year anniversary of the Fingerpoke of Doom I would love to see that happen again.... except this time it's Styles poking Hogan and putting him on his ass for 3.... then Hogan could leave and his job is done.

So what does everyone think iMPACT's rating will be?
I reckon 0.5 - 0.8 region.

Either it will do immensely good, or immensely bad, in my opinion.

here is my take.
People watch RAW on Monday's because there is no alternative. People will tune in for Hogan and see AJ, MCMG, Daniels, Beer Money, The Knockouts, among others. TNA's product is much better than RAW's.

I wonder if TNA can pull it off all together. With actual ratings, LIVE 'Total Non-stop Action' for 3 hours, and prove to WWE that they mean business.

I think LIVE as you said is the thing to keyword here.. I think in general, because of the Monday Night Wars, nobody wants to watch a taped show.. Case and point, Smackdown - though its the supreme WWE show for wrestling fans, its taped, and unless something groundbreaking happens, then who really cares to tune in? That or it could be because its Friday. Same kinda deal with TNA. The show is taped. 2 Days worth of tapings accounts for 2 weeks worth of show. Why watch when you can just find out who wins, or just watch the parts of the show you want? Anywho, we all know about why live is better. I'm excited for a live show. I'm hoping this will help them understand why they need to move out of Orlando Studios and start doing more live shows. With the addition of Hogan, even if Monday night fails, there is still Thursday night. If they go live on Thursdays, they shouldn't have trouble filling arenas.

If by "There is still Thrusday night," You mean the following Thrusday. I hear they're going to fill that timeslot with an encore of Monday's show. But yes, they should understand that the concept of having live shows is good. If they can pull it off on Monday, maybe that will get stuck in their heads, and will try it again sometime.

First off I think people have forgotten that a similar thing was being said about WCW before they went Live with Nitro. TV shows & PPV's were doing virtually nothing but live on Monday nights & Bischoff changed all that. With Hogan being the publicity magnet he is people are going to know about this, question is whether they can convince enough people to tune in. The way Hulk is talking about going to war with WWE might get casual fans interested in seeing what TNA has. Then they need a great show. Hype up Hogan sure. Have him involved in some way, but the rest of the card has to be tight full of exciting wrestling & great storylines. They certainly have the talent to achieve this. Of course if WWE counters with a 3 hour show, top matches featuring all their names & The Rock as guest host then TNA could be screwed big time. Couple of things...1. WCW already had an established fan base. 2. Going head to head was fresh/new 3. There was no internet rumors to spoil those surprises. 4. Hogan was still relevent and somewhat likeable, oh and about 15 years younger. If Hogan's return is all TNA is banking on then they are living in a pipe dream. they better have something mighty big up there sleeve to pull this off.

This will not work. WCW had Ted Turner backing it and TNA does not. TNA also does not have the name recognition nor do they have the same kind of advertising WCW had.
TNA really also needs to fire whoever does their production. I don't understand how their production can be SO BAD even when THEIR SHOW IS TAPED! That is just stupid. You should be able to cover your mistakes if the show is taped, not make them obvious.
TNA's house show numbers are horrendous, and that's sad to say for a NATIONALLY TELEVISED wrestling company, which ones again proves how terrible their advertising is.
I have talked to people who are casual wrestling fans who think that TNA is "Hulk Hogan's new wrestling company", which is hilarious seeing how long TNA has been on TV. If you can't get them, you're screwed.

Bischoff can't save this sinking ship. TNA is not WCW.
