With his experience, does he go straight into the top 10 in the UFC?
Also, I know the UFC doesn't have an offical ranking, does anyone know why?

No, he's probably on the top from 10-15 though. Probably around 13.
UFC doesn't care about rankings, that's why.

I can't even name 15 heavyweights (not that I'm doubting you) Can you help me think of them? Lesnar, Mir, Nougera (sp?), Congo, Carwin, Gonzaga. . . Anyone know where you can find an up to date list of fighters under contract with the UFC? |

Lesnar, Mir, Nog, Kongo, Carwin, Gonzaga, Cro Cop, Dos Santos, Velasquez, Rothwell, Yvel, Buentello are all with the UFC and I think are ahead of Nelson. Outside of the UFC there are plenty of others such as Fedor, Arlovski, Rogers, Overeem, Werdum, Silva, Monson, Barnett, and Kharitonov who are also way ahead of Nelson.

I think he is in top 15 and should be compting with guys ranked between 8 to 15 for a few fights. Maybe a Buentello fight would be cool...

I consider myself to be more than a casual fan. 2. Until he proves otherwise, I'll consider Kimbo to be a joke. Beating Alexander on his back is nothing to shake a stick at. He's improving, but he's not impressive. 3. I just haven't had the chance to do much reading on the upcoming event. That plus the fact that it doesn't really interest me too much. |

I'd say he's above Rothwell. Yea he lost to him but it was a crappy decision. Same with Monson, he clearly beat him to. Id say he's not at the top right now, but he can compete with the top.
