my first customs were ing horrible man, but i didnt get construtive critism but from only a handful of people and the others trashed my work horribly. i was just saying that theese new guys need help and not crappy replies like i got, itll go a long way in the future

i agree with this. everyone has to start somewhere. if they post here and get trashed by everyone, they won't come back. that's why this board is in the shape its in. i do fixups all the time but i never post any because the two times i did, people were dicks. i get on every day or two and all i read are fights and guys complaining about this or that.

telling someone "nice job" or "looks good" may be spamming but at least its positive which is something very few people here seem to be able to do and its also something that newbs need to convince them to keep practicing. i'll take spamming over trolling and complaining and fighting any day.

personally, i have no problem with fix-ups. you are still customizing the figure. i actually think people who prefer fully painted/sculpted figures are in the minority because most would like for their customs to match their collections in both quality and playability. i'm by no means taking a shot at that level of work. i am truly in awe of some of the talent here and could look at their art all day, but very few people share their ability. that doesn't mean the majority should be looked down on for having inferior work.

nor should they be bashed for posting a custom of someone we see a lot of. the reason we see a lot of the same customs is because people make customs for the sole purpose of filling in gaps in collections (be it their own or to sell to others to complete theirs). face it, we havent had a macho or sting released yet and most of us can't afford a "warrior america" exclusive., so if you don't want to see anymore of these, please, please, take the high road and don't click on those links. this will spare those who do look at them from having to read your dislike and hatred just so you can increase your post count or try to convince everyone how important and talented you are or try to make us believe you are the victim in all these feuds.

I guarantee you don't give a crapabout criticism in the least, all you want is good replies. Your 2 new figures were so simple to do, I could probably whip up the Perfect and Fernandez in an hour or something.

There's nothing to learn about customizing that doesn't come from trial and error, that IS the only way to learn. People can give advice all day long, just like people wasted advice on you, and you've honestly never improved at all. That proves my point, all the help the "customising legends" give out is cool to people like you that get a hard on from it or something, but it me it's a nice gesture but ultimately useless. Trial and error is the ONLY way you will improve at customizing, or anything for that matter.

i dont think that you have to be a good customizer to appreciate a good custom and comment on it. Thats like saying you have to be a good artists to apreciate art. If that was the case then there would be no artists as there woudl be no fan base to support them. For that matter do you have to be a good wrestler to apreciate wrestling? Of course not. So lighten up and enjoy the great work the customizers do. If you like it tell them and if you don't tell them what they need to do to get better. IF it realy bothers you that people admire custom figs who don't cusotm there own figures then I sugests you consider taking another year hiatus.
