I would take her out to Olive Garden or some ****, head over to a gas station, buy some quality boxed wine, and take her back to my place where we'd watch Wayne's World and old reruns of the television series "Dinosaurs" to get us in 'the mood'. Do I know how to treat a woman, or what? *Shwing*

If that's gonna be your first tattoo, I feel really sorry for ya.
I would definitely start with something smaller. The size that appears to be, there isn't really any way to get it smaller without losing a TON of detail, and that looks easily like a 4-6 hour piece.

It's annoying 'cause I have no idea where to start. And i'm terrified of going into a tattoo parlour to just look around, and i have no idea where to look on the internet.

Well, to be completely honest - you shouldn't have to think of where to start. Tattoos are a permanent thing (for the most part), and you really should have at least a clear idea of what you want before deciding to make a commitment to something being on your skin for the rest of your life.
I'm not saying don't look around in a shop, or pick up some magazines - what I am saying is get something, not just because it looks cool... but get something that means something to you. Something you like and can live with.
Don't make any snap decisions, make sure whatever you get expresses who you are to the rest of the world... essentially, that's how I feel about them - tattoos pretty much show who you are on the inside, but showing all of it on the outside.
I hope if you, or anyone else doesn't know where to start - you'll check out some other people's stuff... but I also hope you look inside yourself to decide what is right for you. A lot of tattoos you can get do 'look cool' - but a lot of them have specific meaning behind 'em. For that reason, some tattoos should be researched - you don't want to look like an idiot walking around with something for the rest of your life with no clue of what it means.
