I said it a few months ago, and I'll say it again; BJ Penn. A lot of people think that because he destroyed Forrest that it's automatically Silva, but I'm not ready to hop on the bandwagon just yet. The only time he ever loses is when he fights at Welterweight. I don't like the guy, but I give him his credit. And while Fedor is a legend, it'd be nice if he decided to fight anyone other than scrubs or bums that are past their prime. There ISN'T anyone that can come close to beating him at his weight class. NOBODY. He will probably retire as the Lightweight champion of the world because he's that good. And you don't think Fedor is better than Lesnar?? Dude, the guy hasn't lost a fight ever and the one he did was on a friggin' technicality due to a cut, I believe. So, that one didn't really count. I believe he came back and avenged that so-called "loss". I'm a huge Brock fan, but in all seriousness, he doessn't hold a candle to Fedor. Not even close. And if they ever did fight, I think it would be something similar to the one-sided beating B.J. Penn laid on Diego Sanchez, in Fedor's favor of course. |

You're entitles to your opinion......no matter how wrong it is. This is an MMA board. If you're gonna post here, at the very least, know something about the fighters and figths that you discuss. If not, than it doesn't hurt go learn it before posting idiotic comments that aren't anywhere close to being true. Anyway you twist it, Lesnar IS NOT a better fighter than Fedor. He just isn't. Yes GSP is dominant at WW but he uses his wrestling the same way Brock does. GSP would never dare strike with someone like Thiago Alves for a full fight. But BJ is capable of standing, wrestling, or using his BJJ against any LW. It is insane.     Anderson just seems bored. If BJ destroys his opponents than I would say Anderson just embarrasses his opponents. He makes them eat their words, all of their pre-fight trash talk about how Anderson isn't that good, he has weaknesses, blah blah blah.. He'll make you pay. |

The remark about Silva being "bored" rings as true as anything I've heard when it comes to his recent fights, especially his mind-numbingly boring wins against Cote and Leites.
If his fight with Forrest is any indication, a PO'd Anderson Silva is many fighter's worst nightmares. Now that the middleweight division is slowly beginning to recover from the decimation wrought by Anderson, I think the last few fights remaining on his contract will see a return to the ultra-dominance that made him famous.

The Cote fight gets on my nerves more than any other..because since it ended in such a freak accident way people were saying "Oh I wonder what would have happened if Cote didn't get injured? I think he would have beaten Silva since he was the only man to take him to the third round"...
I agree with you though..I think Silva's remaining fights are going to be incredible. Especially a Nate Marquardt rematch...since even Anderson himself has said that he thinks Nate will be the next great champion at 185.
