The pads that come with Ted Dibiase and Cody Rhodes, for example are pretty restrictive. They dont slide off like Jakks did. They make the knee joints harder to bend and do certain movies like a super kick.
The elbow pad on Cody is more like a brace than a pad. Its also pretty restrictive. I guess this is to be expected. Except for the fact that Jericho's knee pads are not. His pads are the smaller version and dont same to provide any type of restriction on his figure. Anyone else getting the same feel?

Yeah, the figures that I have that have pads have limited articulation. My Elite CM Punk cannot bend it's knees at all. It's the same with the Edge's elbow pads. Hopefully Mattel changes the pads.

I just posted this in the Just Bought Thread, I have some spare Karisno pads that I was hoping to swap with but I can't get them off.

Yeah. The knee pads on the Ted Dibiase figure are a major pain in the neck. Dont get me wrong, the figure itself is great, just the knee pads arent. They stop you from bending the figures knee's a certain way. I tried the blow dryer thing on the knee pads, and it worked for a little while, but it didnt work good enough to where I was able to slide or pull the knee pads off without any problems. That's something that they need to fix, if anything.

Yeah, I'm having a hard time to get HHH's knees to bend for the pedigree.

I guess it is just me, but I don't have any problems with the Mattel knee/elbow pads.
All the knees and elbows that are covered with pads on the figures I have bend just fine. It is no better or worse then Jakks "new" style pads.
At least these look realistic...

Hopefully Mattel changes the coats too! Those are impossible to move! I had difficulty removing the coats from my Elite Taker and Edge...those coats aren't even posable....

I noticed this with Triple H, is is hard to do like a knee drop and stuff with the tight pads. Jakks were too loose and mattel is too tight. I still like the over all look of mattel pads vs jakks.

Yeah the coats so far suck but I see the coat for Matt Hardy's Elite figure is cloth which is good. Maybe Mattel realized the coats were a problem? The Entrance Greats so far have real clothing, HHH does and Rey is plastic. Do you know who's in the future sets besides HBK? Not sure where to find out? Any help would be great! Thanks!

Yea, the same thing happened to me. The pads are stiff on all of my loose mattels. Its ok though, they liven up the figs.

I don't think they are really restricting the range of motion. Mine are tight but they still bend almost 90 degrees.
