WWE 2009-2010: SD [Matt Hardy/CM Punk]

- Original idea to have the Elimination Chamber match be for a title match after the PPV. However I don't know if it's the best route to go for since I would imagine that the participants would much prefer a title match at Mania.
- Happy to see Miz retain. I really enjoyed his reign during this period and you're doing a good job of keeping it that way.
- Swagger in the chamber is good, but he really wans't credible during this time so hopefully you can make him look like a legit threat in the chamber.
- Shocked to see Smith go over HHH here. This really should've given THD another shot at EC, but having a tag match next week to give them that shot is fine.
- Sheamus qualifying was expected. Kingston in the chamber would've been fine too. Masters not so much though.
- Interesting to have Melina appear injured. Interested in seeing where this goes.
- Expected Cena to qualify. Curious to see what's next for Legacy.
- Solid show. Can't wait to see who qualifies from Smackdown.

Josh Matthews and Bryon Saxton welcome us to ECW. They hype the classic ECW Championship bout at Royal Rumble with Evan Bourne and Shelton Benjamin won by Shelton Benjamin in a long, hard battle. The action will kick off right now.

Singles Match
Zack Ryder def. The Hurricane @ 5:19

Decent start to ECW with both men getting a fairly good amount of offense in. Hurricane came out with a spinning elbow lariat, leg drop to the back of the head of the standing, Ryder and a suplex facebuster. Ryder locking in a cross armbar, catch powerbomb, and a missile dropkick. Hurricane rallied back with a hurricanrana and called for the Eye of the Hurricane but Ryder but Ryder reverses, pushes away and as Hurricane runs at him, Ryder leaps high in the air and nails the Ruff Ryder for the win.

Zack Ryder celebrates his huge victory tonight on ECW. He continues his hot roll here, and celebrates on the top rope in pride as we head backstage.

Ashley Valance is back with Tommy Dreamer, asking him does he think that a win over the ECW Champion could lead him to another reign. Dreamer says that he sure hopes so. But first on his agenda, to shut up Benjamin. He thinks he can come over to the show of extreme and show off. Well he has not met the "Heart and Soul" of this show and tonight, he does so.

Tag Team Match
The Dudebusters def. Goldust and Yoshi Tatsu @ 3:11

A fairly decent match once again. Sort of short but four of the superstars that make you want to watch ECW showed up in an exciting match here. Croft and Barreta worked over Tatsu here all until Goldust came in and cleaned house. But after he missed a clothesline on Croft, Croft hit his double spin neckbreaker to seal the victory here on ECW.

Caylen Croft celebrates his victory here tonight alongside Trent Barreta as they too continue their huge roll. We head to the announce table.

Josh Matthews and Bryon Saxton take us back to this week at Royal Rumble on Sunday with Jeff Hardy making a surprise return, last eliminating Chris Jericho to win the whole thing.

Shelton Benjamin def. Tommy Dreamer @ 8:41

Great main event that really brightened this show's episode. Benjamin came out with some lefts and rights with Dreamer ducking one and hitting a tilt-a-whirl-sideslam and then two hard clotheslines, getting pumped. He called for the Dreamer Driver but Benjamin slips out and hits a reverse spinning neckbreaker, leaving Dreamer on his face. Benjamin then hits the crossbody and a T-Bone Suplex. Benjamin gets a two. He lifts Dreamer who breaks his grip and nails the Dreamer DDT for the close two! Dreamer ties him in the tree of woe and yells E...C...W, the crowd behind him as he his the dropkick. He calls for another Dreamer DDT but Benjamin flies in the air and nails a Paydirt out of nowhere to secure another victory!

Shelton Benjamin celebrates his victory, beating his chest and holding the ECW Championship high to the air as he takes a microphone. Just catching his breath, he says that these past few months as ECW Champion have bit a breeze for him as he's dominated this brand as of late. He says that he's taken on all comers and doesn't see anyone on this brand that can take his championship gold. Just then, Tiffany comes to the stage and says that she's glad Benjamin is doing well on this brand and glad he wants a new challenger as all it took was one phone call. He allows Benjamin to meet his new #1 contender! Benjamin's jaw drops down to the floor as his #1 contender stares him down confidently to end this week's edition of ECW.[/font]

Going to try and keep up with his from now on, just going to do a breif overview. Shelton vs. Rob Van Dam looks like a good ECW Title match, you brought RVD very quickly into the diary though as fast as six pages. Like the idea of the Interbrand Elimination Chamber, wouldve liked two but your ideas are original. Jeff Hardy winning the Rumble is good but again, he returned quickly into the diary. I'll reply to your next show in detail all is looking good overall though.

-Great way to open the show up. RVD and Christian vs Benjamin and Archer should be nice.
-Dudebusters going over Dreamer in Extreme Rules match is good.
-Tatsu going over Ryder is a good call.

Overall, nice short version of ECW

The sweet pyrotechnics blast from the stage, and Michael Cole and Jerry "The King" Lawler welcome us to the final PPV before the Road to WrestleMania, Elimination Chamber. They hype their huge matches like the WWE Title and RAW/SD Chamber, as does Striker/Grisham, promoting the WHC Title Match, and finally, Saxton/Matthews hyping RVD/Benjamin, first up, Unified Tag Team Titles.


Grueling contest to kick off Elimination Chamber here, Triple H and Smith brawled as Michaels caught Kidd's leg and hit a dragon whip. HHH and HBK attacked Smith, throwing them into the turnbuckle, HHH coming at them with a huge splash. Smith was thrown over the ropes. Kidd took a double suplex and soon, HBK set up for the Sweet Chin Music, Kidd hit a hotshot on the ropes. HHH came to attack him, but Kidd dropped off, Smith caught HHH with a Saito Suplex for the two. Kidd hit HBK with the springboard crossbody as Smith hit HHH with a pull-back spinebuster for the two again. Smith threw HHH to the outside and attempted to throw him into the steel steps, instead it happening to him, HBK was hitting Kidd with some knife edge chops in the corner, whipping him off the ropes for the atomic drop/scoop slam and then the elbow drop. Kidd ducked a Sweet Chin Music with an enziguri! HHH hit Smith with a head/knee smash and brought him in the ring. HHH hit the ring but was kneed in the face by Smith. They attempted to hit HBK with a Hart Attack but HHH came in and caught Kidd with a huge spinebuster. He calls for the Pedigree, Kidd hits HHH with a springboard kick, HHH still on his feet, HBK turns Kidd around as he calls for the Piledriver. HBK attempts a Sweet Chin Music, Kidd ducks and Michaels accidently nails Triple H with a Sweet Chin Music! Smith hits Michaels with a big boot and HHH with the Hart Attack and pins him for the three count.

Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith celebrate with their new Unified Tag Team Championships, they are on their knees, estatic as they head up the ramp, getting a small pop, as the fans don't know if they are faces. Michaels and HHH are getting up around the same time, they mouth a couple of non-understandable words, they staredown and then hug as they head up the ramp to a great pop.

Backstage, we see Josh Matthews alongside John Cena to a massive pop. Matthews asks Cena does he feel like he has the most momentum tonight since he's been on a huge streak, losing just one match this whole year. Cena says that being the best in the WWE, he's learned over the nine years in this business he can win with and without momentum, but he's in the ring with six of WWE's top stars who also know that. Which only makes it harder, this is what he lives for, and what makes him better. Cena salutes and walks off, happily.

We head to an outside view of St. Louis, MO and the Scottrade Center, before we head back to the arena, as now, it's time for the ECW Championship Match, RVD's return PPV.


Another spectacular match, topping their battle from Backlash 2006. Rob Van Dam and Shelton Benjamin exchanging arm drags followed by suplexes, then RVD hitting a monkey flip, Benjamin a suplex. They step back, shocked at how close they were there. They lock up again, RVD hitting a swift kick, followed by a spinning heel kick followed by the body drop. RVD went for the Rolling Thunder, Benjamin rolling away, RVD sitting up and taking a hard low kick to the face. Benjamin then hits the big top rope splash for the two. Benjamin hits the Stinger Splash, Shell Bomb, and then the T-Bone Suplex and calls for the Paydirt, RVD pushes him down and hits the Rolling Thunder. RVD hops to the top rope and nails a hard Five-Star Frog Splash, he hooks both legs and gets a 1-2-no! RVD is extremely shocked that Benjamin has kicked out of this. RVD goes to the top and goes for another Benjamin gets his knees up, RVD is out, Benjamin hits the Paydirt, RVD gets to the ropes, assuring Benjamin not the win just yet. Benjamin attempted to hang RVD up on the turnbuckle, he'd run up the ropes, he went for the cat-like jump, in mid-air, RVD drills him back down. RVD then hits his second Five-Star Frog Splash for the victory.

Rob Van Dam holds his ribs, knowing just how close he was to losing there, he's in tears as he has now become the ECW Champion once again, the first time since the One Night Stand 2006 against John Cena. He hugs his ECW Championship on the ramp, the second title change in two matches.

Backstage, Jericho is getting ready for his big match with Jeff Hardy tonight. CM Punk walks in, World Heavyweight Championship laid on his shoulder. Punk says that he's happy for Jericho tonight because either way it goes, it's a lose-lose situation. He can beat Jeff Hardy tonight, and lose to Punk at WM, or lose completely to Jeff Hardy. Jericho says he'd suggest Punk watch it, Punk's record against Jericho is far from spotless, Jericho having victories over Punk. Punk says that he hopes Hardy destroys him tonight, because then, it'll be his turn.

Ashley Valance is back with Jeff Hardy asking Hardy where he plans to go if he loses to Jericho tonight. Hardy says that losing to Chris Jericho is definitely out of the picture, as he's never been more confident. And when he does defeat Chris Jericho tonight, CM Punk will know he's serious. Hardy puts up his hand sign as we head to the ring.


Jeff Hardy and Chris Jericho lock up to start this classic, Hardy immediately hitting the Enziguri, to the turnbuckle for the Hardyac Arrest, Jericho flies outside the ring and Hardy falls on his head, hung up after missing. Jericho hits the huge dropkick in the corner and taking him out for the scoop slam/low dropkick. Jericho for the knee drop and hooks for the two count. Jericho goes for the double underhook powerbomb, Hardy wringers his arm and hits the sleeperslam. He then hits the low blow leg drop followed by stalking Jericho for the Twist of Fate, Jericho throws Hardy to the apron. He tries for the triangle apron dropkick, Hardy dodges out of the way and Jericho crashes to the outside. Hardy climbs in and the ring and hits a slingshot splash to the outside onto Jericho. Hardy rolls him in the ring, he gets kneed in the gut, Jericho hits the rope-hung neckbreaker followed by a hard DDT. Jericho calls for the Lionsault but Jeff Hardy gets his knees him, Jericho holds his ribs and Hardy turns him around into the Twist of Fate. Hardy goes to the top for the Swanton Bomb, Jericho kicks the ropes and Hardy falls. Jericho hits the dropkick to Hardy, almost knocking him off. Jericho goes for a superplex, Hardy hits Jericho fiercely with lefts and rights, and one headbutt, knocking him off the turnbuckle. He gets back up and Hardy hits Whisper in the Wind. Both struggle to their feet, Hardy calls for the Swanton Bomb, Jericho gets his knees up in a nick of time. He calls for the spinning heel kick, Hardy ducks and he hits the referee. Hardy throws Jericho to the outside and puts him on the ECW announce table. He calls for the big splash which connects. Both are broken now. Hardy rolls Jericho in the ring, the cameraman sets it down, and turns Hardy around and nails a huge Spear! The camera man appears to be, Edge! Edge has a sadistic grin on his face, the first time we've seen him in eight months. He rolls Hardy in the ring, and Jericho hits the Codebreaker and covers to secure the victory.

Jeff Hardy and Chris Jericho are both laid out for the moment, Jericho might not realize what just happened. He raises his arms in victory, Edge, out of nowhere drills him with a Spear as well. Edge stands tall over Hardy and Jericho, getting one of the loudest mixed ovations ever.

We head to commentary, Grisham and Striker are completely shocked about Edge costing Jeff Hardy his chance to headline WrestleMania, speaking of WrestleMania, it's in 35 days, or five weeks.


A very good contest here, between two former arch rivals. Kofi pinned Randy Orton on RAW with a Trouble in Paradise so he has a load of momentum going into this match. Kofi was on his usual control frenzy early on, ducking a clothesline with two forearm smashes, then a flying smash followed by a crossbody and dropkick to the ropes. He ran at Orton, Orton ran at him and Orton hit a clothesline, dropkick, the crowd was split on who to cheer for, the face, Kofi Kingston, and the hometown hero, Randy Orton. Orton hit his methodical stomps, headlock backbreaker, and was slowly coiling, Kofi Kingston blocked the RKO with a reverse backbreaker and the neckbreaker, followed by the Boom Drop as he called for his Trouble in Paradise, Orton catches the leg and does something unusual, locking in an Ankle Lock, Kofi is close to tapping, he reaches the ropes finally, Kofi is laid out on the ropes for the minute, Orton goes to the apron and hits the Punt Kick! He hits one more in the ring and puts his rival away for the three.

Randy Orton celebrates his WWE Championship still intact, he doesn't know who his opponent will be for WrestleMania but still he's retained his WWE Championship, the first defense of the night.

A promo hypes tomorrow night's RAW, it promotes tomorrow night, Chris Jericho is using his World Heavyweight Championship opportunity live on RAW. Also, Bret Hart and Vince McMahon go face-to-face a third time. All that and more.




Basic divas match here, the fans were ready for the World Heavyweight Championship Match so some used a chance to get popcorn and stuff, some found this very entertaining. It was for what it was and it seemed Kim had this match in the bag and was our new Divas Champion, Fox flipped the script with a huge DDT followed by her finishing tilt-a-whirl-sideslam to secure the victory.

Alicia Fox celebrates a hard fought win here, Kim sits in the ring in disappointment at how close she came to claiming the Divas Championship. Fox heads up the ramp as Kim is received a standing ovation for her efforts.

Backstage, John Cena is here, pulling his wristbands up, Batista comes in, Cena and Batista hugging and then Batista says that he respects Cena, Cena agrees with him. Batista says that his respect won't allow him to lose tonight, so if and when he eliminates Cena, no hard feelings. Cena says same way, to him. They shake hands as we head to our World Heavyweight Championship.


Great match for the World Heavyweight Title here, Mysterio sported his purple and yellow attire, CM Punk catches him in mid-air for the crossbody and brings him to his shoulders, Mysterio reverses the Go 2 Sleep but Mysterio hits a mid-air Hurricanrana. Mysterio then ducks under a clothesline and dropkicks Punk's knees followed by the DDT. Mysterio dropkicks his back and goes for the 619, Punk follows alongside him and hits a hard scoop powerslam when he turns around. Punk whips him to the turnbuckle and hits the shining wizard/bulldog combination. Punk goes for the GTS again, Mysterio hits a mid-air DDT. Mysterio then hits the wheelbarrow bulldog and dropkicks Punk to the ropes and nails the 619. In mid-air, Punk kicks Mysterio with a swift kick! Punk then nails the Go 2 Sleep for the three count.

CM Punk sits on his knees, proud that he retained the World Heavyweight Championship. Mysterio is pissed that he lost and Punk gloats his win on the ramp.

Ashley Valance is back with the returning Edge. She asks him why he cost Jeff Hardy his WrestleMania shot. Edge says that anyone else would've done the same thing. His intentions weren't for Jeff Hardy, but to come back and be the most talked about person at that. Soon, Jeff Hardy tackles Edge to the ground and pounds him with lefts and rights and tells Edge he will be sorry he did this.

A promo hypes how vicious the Elimination Chamber really is and how much suffering and pain it's cost superstars since 2002. And is still going strong in 2010.


Our main event was as usual, amazing here. John Cena and Kane kicked things off here, Cena leveling Kane with lefts and rights and whipping Kane off the ropes only to take a big boot. Kane whipped Cena to the turnbuckle and hits the clothesline followed by a sidewalk slam. Kane goes for his flying clothesline, Cena kicks the ropes and starts thrusting Kane into the chamber glass that Undertaker is in. Cena then goes at a superplex, connecting, Cena gets in the STF and Kane looks ready to tap. Sheamus is next in and kicks Cena in the head followed by a shoulderbreaker for the two count. Sheamus hits the suplex and then ties Cena in the three of woe and starts to pound away at him. Kane turns him around and boom! Kane hits the Chokeslam and covers Sheamus for the two count. He calls for another one, Sheamus pulls Kane forward into a body drop over the ropes on the steel floor. Cena hits Sheamus with a Spinebuster. Out comes Jack Swagger who makes big effect in the match, hitting Sheamus with a Gutwrench Powerbomb on the steel floor. Kane clotheslines him in the ring and Cena flies over the top rope for the splash onto Kane on the floor. He covers and gets a two count. Cena goes to the top rope to dive on Kane, Jack Swagger hits Cena with a dropkick, sending him through the glass in the chamber. Cena is halfway through the glass laid out on the turnbuckle as the crowd pops at the extreme thought here. Kane and Sheamus brawl on the outside, Swagger pulls Cena out and attempts to cover him, shockingly for the two count. Swagger lifts Cena up and out of nowhere, Cena hits the Attitude Adjustment to Swagger he covers and gets the three! Jack Swagger has been eliminated 11:48 Batista makes his way out, hitting Cena with a Spear, Spinebuster, and almost a Batista Bomb, Sheamus hits him with a low blow and the Brogue Kick to the back of the head, he is flipped over the ropes by Cena. Kane hits Cena with a Chokeslam on the outside onto Batista for the two count. Undertaker makes his way out, hitting all with clotheslines, he grabs Batista by the throat and he and Kane hit a double chokeslam, then Kane hits one to Undertaker. Sheamus lifts Cena with the High Cross, Batista hits Sheamus with a Spear and then the Batista Bomb. He hits him with another one! Batista pins Sheamus and eliminates him. Sheamus eliminated 15:32 Undertaker. Batista, Kane, and Cena, four of WWE's greatest stars ever are left, Undertaker and Kane vs. Cena and Batista is what we see, a huge brawl unfolds, BOD winning, Cena battles out of Taker's corner with a huge Spinebuster, Batista battles back too with a Spear, Cena pulls out his brass knuckles as he plans to drill Kane, Kane ducks and he nails Undertaker. Kane chokeslams Cena and Batista pins Undertaker. Undertaker has been eliminated 16:38 Sheamus comes back in with a chair here, 25 minutes in, he attempts to hit Batista but Batista spears him, causing him to fumble the chair to the outside, 'Taker catches it and attempts to hit Batista who ducks and nails Cena, who turns around into Kane's Tombstone Piledriver to eliminate Cena. John Cena has been eliminated 27:22 Undertaker is pissed off, confused at what to do, he leaves. Kane and Batista stand as our finalists, Batista gets Kane in the corner with some shoulder thrusts, then he attempts a Spinebuster for the win and the two count. Batista goes for the Spinebuster, Kane hits a body drop and then hits a big boot and a sidewalk slam. Kane calls for the Chokeslam but Batista blocks clotheslines him on the outside. Batista stalks Kane for the Spear on the outside, Kane dodges and Batista crashes through the glass. Kane covers and gets the win.

Kane stands tall to end the show over Batista, bloodied face as he stands tall in the Chamber, Batista still laid out. Kane heads up the ramp, in celebration, but many questions should be asked, Undertaker cost John Cena, so what will happen there, and when will Kane use his WHC Match? Elimination Chamber goes off air.[/font]
