January 4th, 2010“TNA iMPACT!” will be going against “WWE Monday Raw” on USA Network, the first time two wrestling companies have broadcast live head-to-head since the “Monday Night Wars” in the late 1990’s between WWE and WCW. This “iMPACT!” special will broadcast live from the TNA iMPACT! Zone at Universal Studios in Orlando, Fl. Hogan’s first appearance inside the six-sided ring of TNA Wrestling will follow weeks of speculation after Hogan and Carter announced their partnership on October 27 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Hogan has hinted in various media interviews that he’ll have multiple surprises in store for TNA Wrestling fans. “I knew when I signed with TNA, that it would be important to make a statement with the first episode. Going head-to-head on January 4th, makes the statement loud and clear: Game on!” Hogan said. “TNA is kicking off 2010 in the biggest way possible with the biggest name in the history of our sport. Hulk Hogan is a pop culture icon, and his arrival will change not only TNA, but the entire professional wrestling landscape. We’re firing that first shot,” Carter said. Joining Hogan for the three-hour live “iMPACT!” will be TNA World Heavyweight Champion “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles, Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, Kevin Nash, “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe, “The Boss” Bobby Lashley and “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan. - For The Knockouts Championship: Tara defends against ODB - For the Knockouts Tag Team Championship: Sarita and Taylor Wilde defend against Awesome Kong and Hamada “TNA iMPACT!” will resume its normal timeslot on Thursday, January 7th at 9:00 PM ET/PT with an encore viewing of the live “iMPACT!” special. Credit: TNAWrestling.com -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This could be something great for TNA, or nothing. This will not turn out bad for the company... but I do however feel it won't be the "big draw" they think it will. So far, nothing has really been announced. Except 2 Knockouts matches, that in my opinion, are extremely predictable. Hearing all about these rumored "surprises" is the only thing that is keeping any kind of hype around this show. I know i'll be DVRing both iMPACT! and RAW on Monday, since I have work that night. KEEP ALL SPOILERS OUTSIDE OF THIS THREAD!I'm tired of people ( including myself ) still being spoiled, because some people are ignorant enough to not care about ruining shows for others. If someone is rumored/confirmed to being on the show... post it in the Spoiler Room, as TNA nor their website has posted ANYTHING about anybody debuting/returning. Thank you. - Triple S

I've never been this excited for watching wrestling in a long time. Monday is gonna be awesome. I think that Hamada and Kong might win the tag titles, they'd be a good team imo.

I honestly think a top heel should interupt Hulk Hogan. Not lay him out or anything, just cut a promo on Hogan. But, no Hogan "promo comeback". Hogan cuts face promo, heel comes out, heel promo on Hogan, and heel leaves.

Id have Hogan bring Hall out, then have Samoa Joe come out then start ranting on Hall saying something like, it took you over 2 years to show up..and ive been waiting 2 years to kick your ass etc. Btw Triple S impact is on the 4th not the 3rd

I'm really pumped for this. There are two things that I have in my head that I see happening. Jarrett and Angle have a confrontation and a new Main Event Mafia (in name only, not necessarily Kurt, Booker, Joe, etc) is formed or hinted at.

I wouldn't be surprised to a MEM consisting of Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Syxx-Pac and Scott Steiner. And maybe Ric Flair later on.

I remember the reports some time ago about TNA going head to head with RAW and some TNA fans said that the reports were crazy and it wont happen for a few more years...

Should be a good Show. I think Steel Asylum will be good if the Wrestlers are more visable, and ODB and Tara seem to work well together.

TNA should promote more matches, I don't think saying Hulk Hogan will be there, and announcing two Knockout matches is enough to get fans to not watch Brets return on RAW.
Edit: Steel Asylum is a good match, but the problem is, we're gonna have to wait for awhile whilst they set it up / take down the dome....
