There is just one thing I'd like to ask about the show Monday night, and that is, what is up with all of the chants? "This is wrestling" "Who needs Bret?" "TNA TNA TNA" Are all cool chants, but we got them several times in every match I saw (which was basically just the Steel Asylum opener, and the main event, thnaks to my cable provider). I understand that it is the fans expressing their opinions, but after a while it gets pretty annoying. I mean we get it, you think TNA is #1 and WWE is poopsville, but not every high spot or athletic move deserves a chant. Does anyone else feel similar, or am I just being picky? Picky, LOL....I think a wrestler makes the match, But the fans are what make it exciting to watch. The chants and the noise volume, It puts you more into what your watching. The oooo's and ahhhh's and that was bullshit, and TNA TNA TNA..... Its what gives TNA its electric feeling to watch. I love it. If the crowd would have been like that for Bret. Then I would have watched more of RAW. But that dull ass crowd killed a great return.

The point is he fast forwarded through the show. Nothing caught his eye. I do the same thing. I can watch a full show of TNA without channeling or fast forwarding. Bret caught my eye in WWE last night. That was it. The only other draw for me in WWE is Punk and Santino. Just because nothing "caught his eye" doesn't mean it was a bad show... I don't know about you but I personally stopped watching WWE along time ago, and Punks new gimmick is the last thing I saw and Id rather watch real wrestling other than someone following WWE story lines and talking about how TUMS where bad for ones body, and watch a intellectually- disabled muscle head walk around a ring proclaiming no one can see him.

WWE had two good matches lasting just about the total amount of time of all of TNA's matches. Doesn't that tell you something? Oh, and I'm glad you enjoy gimmicks based off mediocre video game characters and redneck trash women gimmicks over what is one of the best gimmicks in wrestling today.

Everything but the wrestling on the show was entertaining. I skipped through the Knockouts title match... only to have the next match be a Knockouts Tag Team title match? Oi. The only match I liked that I watched so far was Wolfe/Burke.

When i see Abyss i see Kane, when isee AJ, I think, Evan Bourne, but AJ's alot better. WWE knows how to make their talent regognizable, that's why they are on top. TNA in one night...ONE DAMN night, made the hottest ticket in WWE, Jeff Hardy, irrelevant! WOW, just fkn WOW! This video sums up my thought on Impact. The guy is a tna fan and gold most of the time with his analysis. PARENTAL DISCRETION ADVISED,lol

BUT, this guy pretty much nailed every single point. The confusion, the lack of stories, total randomness, poor tv production and major fail on Jeff Hardy. He said every single thing I said concerning TNA's Monday broadcast.

Same here, does need to lose the sunglasses though. No gimmicks needed, for a review.

The guy is right in pretty much everything he said, especially the fact that AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy would draw. But he said Orlando Jordan can't wrestle which is wrong. Orlando is actually a solid in-ring talent.

Haven't watched any wrestling period for well over a year and a half to two years. I think I last watched when HBK beat Flair in his very last match. Just watched the first hour of TNA. Looks like they are coping straight from old school WCW without changing a thing. It's horrible. We've seen the team of Hogan/Bischoff before. We've seen the "Sting lurking in the rafters" before. We've seen the "big match to kick off the show that ends up in a cluster" before. Since when is there a DQ in a cage match anyway?

Well last Monday was a pretty awesome experience. I’ve been waiting to experience something like this for the past 9 years now, and finally my wishes were granted. It was fun as hell to have the option of switching between two wrestling shows, just as you were able to do back in the ‘90’s. When TNA had Hogan/Bischoff/Nash/Waltman/Hall in the ring and WWE had Hart/Michaels in the ring at the same time on both shows, it felt like I was back in the ‘90’s again. It felt f***ing awesome. I usually hate old, washed-up, has-beens like Hogan and Nash, who steal the spot light from all of the younger wrestlers who have actual talent, and I still do, but I don’t mind them making appearances when they are bringing back child hood memories of mine. When I switched to Impact and I saw Hogan and Bischoff standing in the TNA ring, I swear a big “TNT” logo would have fit perfectly on the screen, and when I switched back to USA, to see Bret Hart staring down Shawn Michaels, a huge old-school USA logo would have fit perfect on the screen also.
Seeing Bischoff go around backstage and play “boss” was awesome to see again. This whole NWO reunion was great too. I legit marked out when Bischoff tore up the show script.
I told everyone that TNA was going to deliver, and they may have not delivered in their wrestling matches, but they sure as hell delivered with all of the big names they had appear. Two of which were completely shocking to me (and several others), that obviously being Ric Flair and Jeff Hardy. I didn’t think Ric Flair would EVER show up in TNA, I just couldn’t see it happening. I also didn’t expect Jeff Hardy to do anything on Impact other than maybe cut a backstage promo to put over Shannon Moore, so when he hopped the barricade and beat down Homicide, I was in shock. Vince must be f***ing furious right now, since his original plan with Hardy was to have him come back at Wrestlemania and face Punk, well….too late now. These are the types of things I’m glad wrestling is getting again, unpredictable returns that even news sites can’t keep up with. One of the most exciting things during promotion wars is when you see a wrestler jump ship to the competition. TNA did a great job of getting Jeff and Ric, the fact that they did it on a Monday night of all things just makes it even more of a big, “F*** YOU WWE!”.
I think TNA did very well, like I said, the matches may have not drew much ratings (if any at all), but there is no way in hell that Flair and Hardy showing up didn’t bring some sort of a rating increase.
I think TNA needs to make their official move to Monday’s right now, they’ve already made their “impact”, no pun intended, so they need to follow through with this as quickly as possible. The longer they wait to move to Monday’s, the less meaningful the January 4th Impact will end up being.
TNA can definitely capitalize on more shocking returns if they bring in both RVD and Tommy Dreamer soon. I’d mark out if Dreamer and RVD rushed the ring and attacked Stevie Richards and Raven (For whatever reason, don’t know how it’d tie into a storyline, but it’d be good fun).
