I'm only going to collect Elites because I want the extra articulation and the accessories, but I'm just so frustrated because it's going to take SO LONG to build up a respectable roster.
Right now there are 5 Elite figures on the market....and we've already seen all these guys in Basic.
John Cena Big Show Kofi Kingston Evan Bourne Triple H Batista Cody Rhodes Ted DiBiase Santino Marella Beth Phoenix Shawn Michaels Chris Jericho The Miz John Morrison Finlay Hornswoggle Primo Carlito The Undertaker Rey Mysterio Randy Orton Edge Steve Austin
So by my count if I didn't forget anyone it's Basic Style winning like at least 23 - 5.
And based on the pre-order dates it's going to take Elite collectors until JUNE to get to where Basic is RIGHT NOW! I really don't want to go 4 months without important people like Cena and HBK, and I really don't want to go 6 months without important people like Chris Jericho, Big Show, Kane.
What do you guys think? Is anybody else frustrated as an Elite collector being without big name guys while the Basic line has pretty much covered everybody important in the first wave.

I can't think what accessories would come with an elite Kane. Any ideas?

To be honest, I don't really mind the Elites being behind a little bit, it gives me time to save up and get all of them when each series comes out.

I think you are only torturing your self. Basics are the same scale as elites and for me I am only buying elite versions of figures of high flyers and submission based wrestler. I mean you are never going to see the big show put on the sharp shooter or do a 619.

That's the main reason I went with Basic. Not to mention the PPV series will have updated attire first. I'll get a few Elite for their accessories, but for the most part I'm sticking with basic.

Yeah, Im probably sticking with basic and get a few Elites like Rey or guys that really require heavy articulation or have good accesories for Elite. The price is crazy so yeah, you do get to save up some moeny but honestly you're not paying for much more with the additional 5 bucks. u get 5 figs for 75 and 6 for 60

Yea but thats the reason why they are scaled , so you can still buy both . But theres no use of buying a Elite Big Show , like my pal just said here ^ . Theres no need for an Elite, Show , Kane , Mark Hendry , Batista or a Triple H...

Beth Phoenix is actually an elite figure, if that makes you feel any better.

Yeah, the wait does suck. But, as I also collect DCUC and MOTUC, my wallet can use the break between waves. For guys like Mark Henry, I'll just get the basics, but for most, I will have to hold out for an elite version. The extra POAs are important to me, particularly the outward motion in the hips. I like to display my figures doing more than just standing straight up.

that's why i went with basics. when da's first came out i switched from ra to DA (since like my current state i didn't have many figures so it was a very easy and inexpensive switch). however, while waiting for DA 3 to come out I got very impatient and switched back to RA because I realized that 1) it was less costly 2) it allowed me to have more of a choice in terms of attire 3) it allowed me to have more options of figures to buy
just by numbers since i switched back to ra's from da's.
we got: 22 da series 8(maybe 9?) series of CSDA
24 Ra series 21 AD series 11 PPV series WM 23, 24, 25 all x's 2 3 of singles/doubles 18 series of CS a lot of series of CSDA various exclusives and what not
I assume that it will be similar with mattel. Not to mention, I don't exactly see an elite vance archer/yoshi tatsu/etc being that popular... especially at $14.99. At least mattel was smart enough to put elites and basic in perfect scale...where as da/ra weren't really comparable. Like others have said...is an elite big show/mark henry/khali/etc really that worth it unless it comes with some ridiculously cool accessories (pretty much anything cloth). Heck I don't even think those cheap rubber jackets are worth it...
