TNA is mind boggling some times. They claim to be an alternative, and yet all they do is bring in a number of ex-WWE wrestlers in an attempt to ... what? Draw in ratings for one live show? What happens next week when casual fans turn to Spike on monday? No TNA, and none of the stars they just saw. And that is if they even want to see them again. Let's look at some originals who helped put TNA on the map and who weren't even given a chance tonight: Daniels Shelley Sabin (Yes, they were in a match, but it was such a cluster it didn't even matter) Robert Roode James Storm Rhino Raven (Same story as MCMG's) Shark Boy Eric Young But wait! Look who got some TV time! Jeff Hardy The Nasty Boyz Orlando Jordan Hulk Hogan Sean Waltman Scott Hall Ric Flair (Who did dick all by the way) Val Venis Eric Bischoff The announcing was poor, the production was poor, the match quality excluding parts of the main event were poor, the amount of commercials were outrageous. Its like TNA thinks one show at a time and go, "the continuity of our shows thus far is ed, maybe we should work out a few weeks of programming ahead of time so we don't have to cluster everything into one week of TV ... or we can just come up with stuff at the tapings. Yeah, that works" It was best quoted in the Impact thread, Dixie doesn't know wrestling from her bunghole and it is showing. I hope TNA goes out of business because as a wrestling fan that show was embarassing. So, what are your thoughts and who do you think won "the war" ?

But seriously... the main event totally took a shotgun and shot the Raw main event right in the face. Anyone that can't see that is blind.

Obviously their original stars aren't bringing in the ratings, are they? Would you rather see fat Eric Young with his brown tights wrestle Jesse Neal for 3 minutes or something INTERESTING?
I don't care WHO is in TNA, if they keep producing stuff like they did today, I will keep watching. The main event was the best match I've seen on TV. They have the familiar faces that got over in WWE, and they have the new stars that they can build and make money off of. They have a great combination of old stars and rising stars. IE, Nash, Pac, Hall, and, Joe, Daniels, Desmond, Dinero, STYLES... Trust me, TNA has the talent and I'm sick of people saying the are full of "E-jects." Of course they have people from WWE. If you're flipping through the channels and you saw Jeff hardy sitting on top the dome tonight you'd have a better chance of staying at the channel than if you were channel surfing and saw Shark Boy doing.. something.

Got to start somewhere. I agree, the show seemed mashed together, and it seemed like they thought they had more time then they planned for. It sucks that the TNA roster didn't get much air time. But, Hogan surely drew the crowd. Ive read on here that the NWO pulled people in from Raw. I didn't watch a tick of Raw except for Bret getting low-blowed. Who cares. Hogan is more of a draw that Hart. Back to the show...... Some stuff should have been pulled, and some guys should have been shown, I agree there. Flair should have been saved till the end. The masked guy should have been un-masked. You can tell that Dixie gave full control of the show to Hogan. Nasty Boyz, and Bubba the love sponge..... That is all crap. And I agree. But, I am a die-hard TNA fan, and will stick by them. Hopefully Dixie realizes that Hogan ed up on the show, and puts the home grown talent on for the next shows. Lets hope that the "NWO" is a short months concept, and that it leads to a one PPV match and thats it. Hall makes me sick now. I see all the abuse that he has done to himself and I cant stand to look at him. And X-Pac, is a joke. Tna really should have brought Petey in for the X-Divison match, as well as Sonjay. That would have been much better. Orlando? Who cares about O.J! I could see him having a good card with Pope. I say, give it a few more shows. Lets see where else they take it. Then bitch and moan about the show and the product. Ill be with the company wheather it floats or sinks. TNA!

Eric Young is much better than most of the guys who appeared tonight. I agree, but not on drawing. Face it, if Billy (not Billy Gunn) was flipping channels and he sees Hall, Waltman, Flair, etc.. he's gonna stop. If he sees EY, he'll keep flipping. Names = eyes on screeens.

The fact that some people don't want TNA to succeed is mind boggling to me.
Impact was a 2.5 out of 5 in my opinion, 5 being tremendous and 1 being UWF PPV. It would have been 3 out of 5, but Angle/Styles got too Finisher, reversal, Finisher, kickout, finisher, reversal for my taste. The graphics and production aren't ideal, but they do. Val Venis was a nice little suprise, and the formula of:
Steel Asylum + DQ + An awkward 5 minutes of Homicide trying to escape the Cage + Jeff Hadry speedwalking through the crowd to beat up Homicide = OMG JEFF HARDY IS IN TNA AGAIN! failed.
Slightly below average Show, but not like RAW blew them out of the water from an entertainment standpoint anyways.

In the past 3-4 years I've suffered from brain anneurisms, seizures, and stroke like symptoms after watching TNA. Your best bet on Thrusday's between 9-11pm is to take a heavy dose of sedatives coupled with your favorite alcoholic beverage and just call it a night. Believe me, the side effects are much less detrimental to your health.

The problem is not the names, it's how they book the show. Christian, Angle, Jeff Hardy, etc have yet to pull the ratings up significantly to justify them bringing in more stars. They never brouhgt in these stars to put their younger talent over, but rather they buried their talent. They're starting to do the same thing with Desmond Wolfe. When people turn on the channels and see the same thing, they're gonna change the channel. If they woulda made their stars bigger then the WWE-jects then TNA might have a bigger following now. They keep using the same damn formula, and, 7 years and a . 5 ratings points increase later it still hasnt worked!

i haven't seen the show yet so i can't comment on that, but i agree with random saying that the whole ejects thing is a load of bullshit...they've established many of their own talents if anything moreso than wwe that pushed talent no one even wanted to watch.
