I'm a fan of both - or at least I was until that monstrosity on Monday night - and I feel like the TNA fans like to see things through rose-colored glasses. I'm a realist, so I sort of "feud" with them in trying to talk them back from euphoria. Because Maryse is one of the sexiest in' girls I have ever seen..

No one mentioned Maryse, but I mean, there are a LOT worse topics than can be discussed.

TNA WANTS to be where WWE is. Sadly most of their fans cant realize that TNA clearly isnt to the level of WWE and probably never will be. They like to whine about well WCW made competition, what they dont realize is WCW/JCP/Mid Atlantic was around for nearly 30 years before it made a splash against the WWE.
Ive always said this and I stick by it. The best thing TNA could do is pretend like WWE doesnt and never has existed.

Ive always said this and I stick by it. The best thing TNA could do is pretend like WWE doesnt and never has existed. Very agreeable. What really pisses me now is that TNA fans are content with the show on Monday. Your show was better than RAW? Sure, WWE wasn't at war with TNA; TNA tried to attack WWE. WWE didnt do anything different to RAW then what they have been doing week in and week out, with the exception of Bret Hart. TNA goes live, 3 hrs and is airing with RAW. With that opportunity, you should be doing big things. Not feeding that crap that was fed on Monday. I wanted to throw up after the first hour. You advertise this HUGE show and claim its going to beat out RAW. Sure you had Hogan, Hardy, Flair and all the other guys that showed up; but you put on a regular show? I dont agree with that. The show shouldnt have been backstage building and corny finishes building towards feuds, not at all. You get a new audience, wrestling fans if they didnt know; and they got as much wrestling as we do on RAW. Am I okay with not getting much wrestling on RAW? Yes because we get crapload of wrestling on ECW, Superstars and Smackdown!. I'm so frustrated with watching TNA's product. I dont usually watch it but I thought to myself, man this is TNA's shot. They are gonna try so many different things. It will probably be really good. I turn on Impact: Steel Asylum is 5 minutes long, no big spots, ends in a DQ, and we see Homicide hanging on the top of the cage/cell thing longer than the official match just trying to get out so Jeff Hardy can make his return. THEN, a crapload of backstage stuff and Hogan this Hogan that. Then there is a 5 minute Knockouts match. Something TNA really does right and gets credit for... but they make Tara lose her title two weeks after winning it. After this, more Hogan stuff and then he makes his debut after a LONG ass entrance. I just summarized TNA's first hour of programming that included a big gimmick match, their prized Div.... Knockouts title match and then Hogans debut in less than 100 words. This was supposed to get people to not watch RAW; not chase them to watch RAW! [/rant] Basically, TNA's show was 'good' but it should have been a hell of a lot better. Should have had more wrestling and less corny buildup.

I have not been around the professional wrestling scene for quite some time. However, it seems that there is a lot of animosity for both products. I remember my friends and I watching wrestling and sometimes we thought Nitro was good and Raw sucked or Raw was good and Nitro sucked or both sucked, etc. We also had difference of opinion but we never really disliked one product or the other. The perception I am receiving from your responses from tonight's events is that today's fan either likes WWE or likes TNA but not both. Why is that? Just curious. Thanks I've never understood it either. I'm a wrestling fan first, a company/brand loyalist second. Sure, I have my preferences but I'm thankful when any wrestling is on TV.
