WWE RAW did a 3.37 which is not good at all for Bret Hart's return, so TNA seemed to have done well all things considered.

How is half of what they said they were going to get a success? Hogan said 3.0, not TNA. Hogan. There's a diffrence. Also, if you dn't call this a sucess, you're blind. TNA goes up against RAW and gets a BIGGER number than usual. It is a sucess. There is no difference now between TNA and Hogan. He is their supposed big draw and big name and he's the one going out promoting them and talking on behalf of them. So, this is the one thing that he says while promoting them and being their new spokesperson that doesn't apply to all of TNA? Give me a break. Guess I'm blind, because this isn't as huge as they made it out to be. If they had gotten a 2, that would have been a success, but only adding .2 or .3 isn't a success.

We're not talking about a regular iMPACT though. If it wasn't against RAW, no it wouldn't be a big deal. But, they went to a diffrent day and up against RAW and got a better rating than they do in their normal time slot on Thursdays. How is that not a success? Is it the end all be all? No. Is it the most amazing number ever? No. But, it is a sucess for TNA to be able to say "We didn't lose viewers".

This isn't any sort of victory. TNA had an extra hour on WWE, and WWE still DOUBLED their rating.

I actually expected the worst rating ever. This is good news to me. Hogan is insane if he actually thought he would get a 3.0 rating with no real build up other than his own involvement. Everyone is trying to make this negative. I actually liked the show. It wasn't great, but it was good enough for me. Those of you who said it sucked based on Hogan's presence are typical internet wrestling nerds, making you a minority in terms of overall wrestling fans. The first hour was pretty rough. The first match was an abortion. They need to do away with the steel asylum altogether. Things got better as they went on. They need to step it up and keep things rolling. They can't compete with Raw, but if things keep getting better (which I thought they were) then they may see a slow and steady rise, maybe eventually get a full time spot on Monday night. Even if they aren't competitive and are just pulling in decent ratings I would love have Monday become wrestling night again.

That is why it is a victory.

Yet,Hogan can't realise that by saying they'd get 3.0. And For Nash to say they gonna be number 1 promotion then get their raiting tripled is laughable, WWE or not.

I don't understand how narrow minded some of you can be. The WWE is a television powerhouse that has been on monday nights since 1993, and TNA is a 7 year old promotion that was making their Monday night debut & not did not lose viewers, but gained them on the same night that the WWE had welcomed back one of the biggest names in wrestling history.

I bet they would get higher if they announced all of these names. Exactly. TNA made a success. Drawing their biggest rating during RAW is great. I hope they dont pull any punches for the next show. And now for all those who watched last night will tune in next week to see what goes on with guys like Hogan, Flair, and TNA's huge draw of Hardy.

As cocky as Nash, Borash, and Hogan have been, it's a sweet victory for WWE.

Maybe, but once they see Hogan/Bischoff/Nash/Hall/Waltman taking over TNA... they'll most likely say to themselves "Hey! This sucked when WCW did it, when WWE tried to re-create it and still does now!" and change the channel and watch The Office. - Triple S

Wow. Considering they were LIVE against RAW, to get a better rating than usual is great.
It's a shame the show was extremely bad though.

First off, Hogan said a 3.0 before WWE announced the Bret return. Secondly, I wouldn't call it a total success for them, but it is something to be said that at least it was the most viewed TNA episode ever. That's nothing but good news for them Finally....just goes to show you, WWE put on a "same 'ol same 'ol" show (with the addition of Bret) and still more than doubled TNA's ratings. To be honest, I'd bet even if Bret wasn't on RAW last night they would have won.
