the big thing is to see what Raw's ratings was.

To be honest, I'd bet even if Bret wasn't on RAW last night they would have won. Of course they would have. 100%. No doubt about it.

Also...
Quarter hours are in for last night's three-hour LIVE Impact
1.58 1.70 1.78 1.71 1.88 1.30 1.42 1.16 1.17 1.21 1.19 1.30

Actually, the biggest thing is to see what the next Impact's numbers are like. If they're consistent, that's great for them, but that remains to be seen.

Great news, it was a great show, that rating is amazing how they topped their average rating while going head to head with Raw.

Wow, do you have anything positive to say? I've seen about 4-5 of your posts and they all are a little negative buddy.

Aren't they getting between a 1 and a 1.3. I wouldn't call this a victory. Exactly. Also, this is an average rating. Lets see the hour breakdown. I am sure many wrestling fans tuned into hour 1 and then left at 9pmEST. Head to head is where we will see if TNA got any lift. Cuz RAW certainly did getting a 3.37.

In other words, they only time they really did better than usual was when they were running unopposed leading in to Raw. No real surprise there. This is about how each show broke down at these times. (all times are central, sorry for everybody else)
1.58 - 7:00 - Asylum, unopposed 1.70 - 7:15 - Knockouts title, unopposed 1.78 - 7:30 - Bobby Lashley promo, unopposed 1.71 - 7:45 - Ric Flair's arrival and other backstage segments, unopposed 1.88 - 8:00 - Hogan promo vs. Hart/HBK 1.30 - 8:15 - Knockouts Tag vs. Maryse/Bellas 1.42 - 8:30 - Tag match vs. US Title Four-way 1.16 - 8:45 - Dinero/Wolfe vs. backstage segments 1.17 - 9:00 - Jarrett promo vs. DX/Jerishow 1.21 - 9:15 - Joe/Abyss vs. Sheamus/Bourne 1.19 - 9:30 - AJ/Angle vs. Orton/Kofi 1.30 - 9:45 - AJ/Angle vs. Hart/McMahon
The only thing that deserved high ratings did just about the worse, and that was the main event.

The commercial's were ing ridiculous. I remember at one point there was a time when it went to commericial, came back for about 30 seconds to a min, cut back to commercial's, came back for about 30 seconds to a min, cut back to commercial's, about 30 seconds to a min, cut back to commercial's, came back for good. When Hogan was walking out my GF said, "What history here in TNA!....after this message from our sponsors." and I was half expecting another wave of commercial's during his entrance.

I actually expected the worst rating ever. This is good news to me. Hogan is insane if he actually thought he would get a 3.0 rating with no real build up other than his own involvement. Everyone is trying to make this negative. I actually liked the show. It wasn't great, but it was good enough for me. Those of you who said it sucked based on Hogan's presence are typical internet wrestling nerds, making you a minority in terms of overall wrestling fans. The first hour was pretty rough. The first match was an abortion. They need to do away with the steel asylum altogether. Things got better as they went on. They need to step it up and keep things rolling. They can't compete with Raw, but if things keep getting better (which I thought they were) then they may see a slow and steady rise, maybe eventually get a full time spot on Monday night. Even if they aren't competitive and are just pulling in decent ratings I would love have Monday become wrestling night again. What? Haha. That just about made no sense. Try better next time, brother! Exactly. TNA made a success. Drawing their biggest rating during RAW is great. I hope they dont pull any punches for the next show. And now for all those who watched last night will tune in next week to see what goes on with guys like Hogan, Flair, and TNA's huge draw of Hardy. Maybe, but once they see Hogan/Bischoff/Nash/Hall/Waltman taking over TNA... they'll most likely say to themselves "Hey! This sucked when WCW did it, when WWE tried to re-create it and still does now!" and change the channel and watch The Office. - Triple S[/quote] thats cause nothing beats the office!!!!

That sucks for TNA. 1.5 vs. 4.0...... That sucks for wwe. They pulled in a 4.5 when trump hosted..... Trump got bigger ratings than Bret? Lol. All the wwe marks are afraid to admit that tna effected raws rating. Tna did beast numbers. Going up against wwe and they increase their audience? Damn, that's big. Real big. I expected raw to pull a 4.9 at least, but looks like Bret couldn't do it.

From what I read Spike wanted TNA to do the same that it does on Thursdays or better and it did, so it met their hopes
