Like, I said earlier - they can't just up and leave US because of the contract with Universeal. If they want to get sued, by all means they can leave. But, it's not smart. TNA is making money and it's not "internet chatter" it's from TNA guys in interviews including Jeff & Dixie. They're going to have action figures in stores this year, the PSP/DS video game is coming out, you can find youth TNA shirts at Wal-Mart, TNA trading cards (Don't know where you've looked, but they're there). What all does WWE have in stores? Figures, video games, trading cards, youth t-shirts.. wait a minute.. the same stuff TNA has out. Sure, there's is in more stores than TNA but that's obvious. The only difference is most of the WWE stuff sells...Have we forgotten that TNA has had figures before...that went on clearance. They also had a video game that was hyped up.....that went on clearance. They might be finally turning a profit but its not enough of one to make a big impact. TNA is like 1993 WCW. They have pieces they just have no leadership or anyone that knows what to do with it......and Hogan isnt the answer My response to most of that would be TNA did all of that stuff way too early in the game. But you also must consider, TNA only okay'd those things, it was the other companies that failed: Midway, Marvel.. they are the ones that produced the figures and games. They did it way too soon. You'll find out pretty quickly that TNA figures will be selling just fine, and who knows about the new Cross the line game... I've never really cared for any other wrestling game besides No Mercy, and I was kind of under the impression that no sports games really sold that great besides Madden. And again, the people who said "TNA still couldn't beat Raw in the ratings"....DUH. Give it a rest, no one expected TNA to win

As someone said, Ratings increased becasue of interest. And the WCW kept improving and becoming more interesting and did the shockin surpise thing throughout multiple shows, not all on one damn show. That's what pulled people in. that's what made people curious. Wants they got them hooked they tapped into what was hot and ran with it. TNA's highest rating at one point in 2009 was a 1.3...by the end of 2009 they were pulling in .8 and .9 ratings. They are not doing anything, including this last fiasco, to grab and then keep people's interest, becasue they are intellectually- disabled and have too many hands in the pot. As I've said, when they get consistently good booking, they'll get consistently godd ratings. Looks like this weeks spoilers will see more inconsistency on TNA's part...but who cares...it's what they do. they're the company that doesnt know their ass from a hole in the ground.

TNA is infecting itself with the same cancers that killed WCW so I expect them to suffer the same fate.
In their primes, or at least at much younger ages, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Scott Waltmen, Ric Flair, Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan weren't enough to keep WCW from going out of business, and in fact, according to those who were in WCW at the end will tell you most of those men actually were some of the CAUSE of the death of WCW.
As was said, Hulk Hogan is more concerned with hanging out, getting his name out there, and getting his buddies jobs. He's not interested in what's best for TNA or the wrestlers that aren't his friends.
Hulk Hogan is a selfish cancer, and if TNA stood any chance at competing with WWE at some point, it went out the window when they brought in Hulk Hogan as a creative influence and not merely as an on air talent.

yeah you do they are all has beens Dude, did you seriously just call Kurt Angle a has been? He can still out preform most men in the business. Kurt Angle hasn't been the same since he rushed back from neck surgery. Yeah he is still better than a lot of people but it's in' Kurt Angle, he was born that way. He is however past his prime. I wouldn't say Has Been but to ignore the fact that he has past his prime is ignorant. He is no where near as great as he was in the early 00's

The integrity of this thread vanished when original poster put "TNA" and "major player" in the same sentence.
I would love for TNA to give WWE a good run for its money. It would make wrestling interesting and fresh.
But I tried to watch Impact the other night. It was a disaster. The production value was terrible. The crowd chanting was more entertaining then that ridiculous cage match in that beginning of the show.
TNA is a major player if you want to compare it chikara or ROH. They have a TV deal. They have merchandise in stores. They have things that other small promotions would love to have.
But they are not in anyway a "major player" in WWEs world.

TNA got 8,000 in the UK but the way WWE whores out shows in every which way in the US, it doesn't give TNA alot of lee-way to get in there and have sucessful shows in every town they go to. If TNA runs a Georgia show in say Febuaryy, it'll draw but not as good as it could''ve because of the fact WWE would've ran 3 shows in GA in Jauary including a PPV.

What the WWE does in arenas has NOTHING to do with TNA's poor drawing at house shows.
If TNA had a large enough fan base to be "major competition", they could draw great numbers... the NIGHT after WWE had a show.
WCW didn't decrease in draws, when they were going toe-to-toe with WWF. Thats because WCW was a "major competition" and TNA THINKS they are, only because there isn't another wrestling promotion as close to the WWE as they are.

I counted about 500 people that had on yellow shirts. Either alot of people were thinkin alike, or the put some plants in that arena TNA does do plants. But I think they were just giving away those shirts to people on that side. i read that they bused in high school students for that show and that they were the ones in the yellow shirts.

They don't draw the crowds the WWE does. They don't draw the ratings the WWE does. They don't move the merchandise the WWE does. To make it worse, they spend their show sniping at the WWE and talking trash about Vince. The WWE on the other hand, ignores them completely. It just makes them look petty.
