JBL wasn't over in the least when he first won the title.

Since they've rushed him so quickly into becomming the WWE Champion, it really wouldn't suprise me if he was released by the end of the year.
It may begin to work in the WWE's favour soon though, where fans think he's so bad that he will start to generate true heat, not because of the Heel he is playing, but because he realistically is so bad, so it may come accross as being positively over.

I find it interesting that Rey Mysterio is almost universally panned, but he lost the title to Booker T, which was probably an even worse reign.

Two bad things with Sheamus: 1.) We weren't given a reason to hate him before he won the title. 2.) We still haven't been given one. Couldn't have said it better. So what if he "retired" Jamie Noble, barely anybody even knows who Noble is. And after he beat up Jerry Lawler...woooaaahhh...look out he beat down the King. Sheamus' title run is definately going to ruin the kid. He prematurely was awarded the title, and we see no reaction to him now, and will not see a reaction to him for another year or two. The guy is just flat out bland.

um to me it was John Cena he just so fake and then sheamus Sheamus, isn't really over, but he's barely into his title reign. For me Diesel wasn't a really over champion. For the first few months he did alright, but once HBK returned as a face, he became more over than Diesel I disagree with this one, even though i was a big HBK fan in 1995 Diesel was miles over than HBK. In 1996 however that was a diffrent Story.....

The trigger was pulled way too quick. I am all for new talent being pushed, but they way they pushed this guy is so seemingly random and ill-minded that I don't even get it. As some others said, he's done nothing to make any impact. He's wrestled a little, his mic skills and voice are boring and bland. What did he do, beat up Jamie Noble? I feel like no one gives a sh-t about this guy and rightly so. If anything, they could have developed someone like Miz a little more and done it or even Ted Dibiase or something.

um to me it was John Cena he just so fake and then sheamus I think there have been worse champs than Sheamus, who is still growing into his role. Khali could barely move. He had gotten mocked by fans (not in a good way) but Vince's obsession with big guys got him a reign. Sgt. Slaughter was aging when he came back to the WWF (initially, he was VERY out-of-shape too) but quickly won due to the Iraq War angle. It was terrible and it made the main event at WM 7 terrible. As much as Bob Backlund's 1st reign was over with the fans, his heel reign wasn't. He was another old wrestler who hadn't been with the company for years but suddenly won the gold. Terrible booking. Randy's Orton's first reign as champ was a failure as well. Booked as a face but he got booed. Too much, too soon. Hopefully, that isn't the case w/ Sheamus. U're wrong. The only reason why Khali won was because he was fairly new in the wwe that time and all the top stars were injured or taking a hiatus, eg. Batista, Taker, etc. They had no choice but to give him the belt when Khali won the battle royale. He had a strong push when he first came to the wwe.

Yes, there were injuries but just about anyone on the roster was more deserving than Khali. It is no secret that he is the worst worker in WWE (even HHH joked about this on RAW) and he has never been over as a main eventer. It was a terrible decision to give him the belt and, for that matter, a job in the first place.

orton's first title reign was the most apparent.

He was pushed as a huge monster, that's it. I'm not defending him but HHH's joke only came later. Oh, a lot of people were more deserving, that's for sure but they weren't the freak show that Khali was. Even Batista said he was sickened when Khali got the belt. But he had himself to blame cos he got injured and had to give it up! Haha.
