What are some of wwe's last minute changes to storylines due to the IWC finding out?
e.g. Christian was going to be behind the whole jeff hardy being attacked angle, but it was changed to matt hardy at the last minute
I'm interested to find out what else has been changed last minute

I sometimes wonder if they are actually last minute changes or just rumours that aren't true.
I remember the spoiler websites and all the forums being full of rumours that Randy Orton was gonna win the 2006 Royal Rumble. Then it was Rey Mysterio who won and yet people still saw it coming lol.
And take WWE's 'plans' to have Jeff Hardy vs. CM Punk at WrestleMania 26. Seems those 'plans' may have changed.
I assume a few returns of wrestlers are put off for while because people see them coming. Or being done early. Take Cena's return at the 08 Rumble, he was scheduled to be back a good month or two after that right? Maybe even longer. But it was a nice surprise.

Wrestlemania 21 was originally going to feature either a fatal 4 way with the members of evolution or with HHH vs Randy Orton Jeff Hardy was supposed to win the MITB at WM 24 and was in the match but had to be taken out because of his suspension Regal was supposed to get a major push and face HHH in a feud on RAW but that was scraped when he got suspended Kennedy was supposed to be Mr. McMahon's son
there are tons that have been screwed up either because of injury or suspension.

*Waits for jSYN to come in talking about when Kennedy was supposed to be McMahon's son, but was instead swapped to Hornswoggle.*

Heidnreich reportedly being brought up with a "frozen Nazi" gimmick. I swear that was a hot topic back in early 2004.

No, it was because of people on the internet spreading it around

I personally always though Rey was going to win, even before Eddie died... just before he died I expected it to lead to Rey vs. Eddie for the title after Eddie took it from Batista.

Orton vs HHH at WM21 before he was pushed to soon and his face turn bombed. Dr. Death was the fave to win Brawl For All in 99 before it was won by Bart Gunn. Eddie was scheduled to turn heel at the Raw taping on the same day he died. Batista Vs Henry at the GAB 06 (Henry was injured at SNME and replaced by Mr. Kennedy.
I'm sure if John Morrison wasn't suspended in 2007 his ECW Title reign would have lasted longer. Dolph Ziggler was slated to become I.C Champ but Rey had a disagreement with management. Kennedy's money in the bank win was taken away due to a wrongly diagnosed injury.

Lex Luger was supposed to win the WWF title at Wrestlemania X. The original plan was that Lex Luger would pin Yokozuna in the first title match and then Bret Hart would pin Lex Luger in the second and final match. However....Lex Luger got drunk the night before Wrestlemania in a New York bar. The next morning an article in a New York City paper was published by a reporter that was apparently in the bar with Lex Luger. The article said the whole plan of Luger beating Yokozuna and then Hart beating Luger so WWF officals decided they needed a new plan and punished Luger by not giving him the title.

Chris Benoit was supposed to win the ECW title, but no showed (for what ever bull**** reason) and John Morrison won instead.

The reason was he had to kill his family and himself. . I guess the wwe didn't really want to turn Lita heel but they had too.

Dr. Death/Bart Gunn wasn't a WWE change as Bart knocked Dr. Death out, WWE thought Dr. Death was going to win. I heard Eddie was meant to win the WHC from Batista the day he passed, he couldn't of turned heel as he'd done that against Rey in the summer.

HAHAHAHAHA.
"WWE changed things last minute" is an excuse sheet-writers like Meltzer and Alvarez use when their predictions become untrue.

HHH vs Edge, HBK vs JBL, and Orton vs Cena were all rumored for WM25 for a long time.

Edge cashing in MIB at New Years revolution was a last minute change based on the crowd response. They decided they just had to get the belt off of him.
