DAMN.
I can't express my excitement for Bones Jones vs. Vera. I imagine a highlight reel from start to finish. I don't even know who to pick. Both are great wrestlers, both have amazing muay thai, and I would say Vera has the advantage with the Jiu-Jitsu. I'm going to say Vera is going to get the win but it will be by decision. I fully expect this fight to be FOTN.
I hadn't heard of Quarry vs. Rivera. It sounds like a good fight. Quarry always racks up some nice wins and then is derailed with a loss. Jorge Rivera also has some decent wins but then follows up that decent win with a loss. I really don't know who to pick. Both have KO power, both have been rocked/tko'd/ko'd....I'll go with Rivera though.

UFN 21 and UFC 11 are going to be sick!
Hardy is going to either get decimated for 5 rounds or land 1 lucky punch and rock GSP before a TKO victory (as if...) and Mir is either going to submit Carwin pretty quickly or get KTFO after 35 seconds.
Jones and Vera? Who knows.

IMO Mir could KO Carwin. He damn near KOd Kongo and Kongo is one of the best strikers in the HW division...

Carwin's got a ing solid chin though... Gonzaga almost KO'd Carwin and he's got a lot of KO power. Don't forget that Carwin KO'd Gonzaga with a jab aswell... so Mir had better watch out if Carwin lands a halfway decent punch on him.

Kongo wasn't "Nearly KO'ed", he was just dropped from a punch out of nowhere. The only way I see Carwin winning is by KO/TKO, and the only way I see Mir winning this is by submission.

of course mir would have to do submission because he sucks at striking and only uses cheap leglock, examples: ufc 41, ufc 81

True but still IMO its one of those fights where either guy can KO eachother, but Mir can submit him. I hope Mir wins. But I can deffinatle believe Carwin could win this one too... of course mir would have to do submission because he sucks at striking and only uses cheap leglock, examples: ufc 41, ufc 81 Mir did better in the standup than Brock did in their second fight he even dazed him. Plus he damn near KOd Kongo one of the best standup fighters in the HW division and KOd NOG... Brock was getting beat in the standup in their second fight and took him down because of it plain and simple... Mir does not suck at standup... He may not be great at it but he far from sucks... You continue to solidify yourself as an idiot...

Kongo wasn't nearly KO'ed, just dropped. But Mir has been improving on his stand-up ever since the Nogueira fight.

Kongo wasn't nearly KO'ed, just dropped. But Mir has been improving on his stand-up ever since the Nogueira fight. Kongo was pretty clear eyed through a bit of it... he was just really ing rocked. I think it was cool of Mir to actually say to the reff "Look... y'know... he's out here." instead of letting Kongo choke. To say Mir won't KO Carwin isn't exactly smart as it could happen, but to say Mir has no KO power at all is just plain intellectually- disabled.

Carwin has shown he can be a bit sloppy while finding his range with strikes. He's also shown he can be knocked silly. I think Mir has a great chance at setting up a finish on the feet like he did with Kongo.
I'm pulling for Carwin, but almost every part of me sees Mir managing to exploit any shortcomings Shane has in this fight.

I'll be front row or not far behind for Vera/Jones. I'm hoping some other names are there to promote the PPV the week following. I'd kill to meet GSP.
