1.4 ... there actually gaining! Where are all the people on here that said it was downhill when hogan arrived??? I dont know but it has brought excitement to the wrestling world.... The thing that bothers me is all the podcasts I listen to (just for more wrestling entertaininment) people bash TNA like it's just the most crappy thing they'd ever seen. However, they always ALWAYS end with 'TNA is so bad, but I'm interested..I have to watch what they do next week'.... Why would they need to watch what happens next week if it's just 'sooo bad'. When a wrestling show is bad, normally, I'd imagine people stop watching, not have more stupid things to say in a podcast. 'Smart Wrestling Fan' fall into that category. As well as pretty much any other podcasts i've listened to involving TNA.

A 1.4 is pretty good.

You guys have GOT to be kidding! Do you really think these ratings are a good sign for TNA?All these old faces and their salaries haven't lead to IMPACT even sniffing a 2.0. If the numbers don't improve drastically in a few months, Dixie will be singing a different tune in Jan. 2011.
And now they want to go head-to-head not only with RAW but eventually Monday Night Football?! In the immortal words of Han Solo: I've got a bad feeling about this.

They are a good sign for TNA. Their ratings are going up and haven't been in the 0.92 in over a month, which just means growth. You can't expect ratings to jump to a 4.0 all the sudden , just because a few wrestlers come on that we haven't seen in awhile. The show has to 'prove' itself and slowly build from there.
I like how you think you know the outcome of what might happen in the future. TNA might fail, of course. But until then, I'm a fan, unless it gets as bad as it used to be.

Before everyone goes gaga in this thread about how impressive impacts ratings are, I'd like you to take a look at something: This is an except from the Monday night wars ratings scale with RAW on the left column and nitro on the right: Notice how in two years time Nitro was able to go up 2 million viewers. Now this was before Raw made there big move as well, however, even Raw maintained their core fans while WCW built new fans...In 2 years!!! Now, some will argue that it was a different time period and i agree, but my point is...how can one company go up 2 million viewers in 2 years and a company that has been in existence for 7 years can't even consitently keep 1 million viewers? ANd it's not like TNA is a company full of no name wrestlers when they started. Many of the guys that started TNA were old WCW guys, so there was a fanbase there already. SO they needed a TV deal, they got it and nothing, so they get bigger names stars, and the ratings barely budge. My point, as I've been saying, and this is towards those that are vehemently argumentative about TNA being "successful", is that if TNA can't do anymore then give us cheap pops, then that 1.5 will be the first and last highest rating they'll have this year. I'm hoping I am wrong, but I know better by now. I suppose this thread will allow us to just wait and see. Great post mate, agree wholeheartedly, even though I wish they'd do better...

The 2/4 edition of Impact did a 1.2 rating (rounded up from 1.18), with 1,559,000 viewers.
Not much of a difference considering that’s what TNA got before the Hogan era.

This why i wish com panies would just forget about ratings and concentrate on putting out a good show. I thought last week was on part with the 1.4 the week before, yet it dips. the ratings are jst way to objective to be valid measurement.

That's what happens when you book a horrible main event. No one will want to tune in to see it.

I will admit, the main event was awful. But I thought the rest of the show was actually really good. I can't believe the rating did so poorly for such a decent show.. Maybe even the best of the calendar year.

The main event messed this show up imo, AJ vs. Pope should have been it!

I think the ratings problem is something deeper then just a bad main event, I think TNA allienated some of their hardcore fans by bringing in all older WWE rejects and giving them a push, and changing the ring. I mean dose hogan and bishoff really think sean morely and the nasty boys are going to bring TNA to the next level. Unforuently if these ratings are an indication, only a small amount of fans that hogan has brought in have stayed with TNA while at the same time the old TNA fans have been turned off by the new direction. There is no reason for TNA to get this kind of rating after only a month of the Hogan era.

They've constantly been getting 1.3s and 1.4s and it dipped a LITTLE this week and everyone is ready to burn Hogan at the stake. Uhmmmm, am I the only one that realizes TNA had to compete with the Lost season Finale this week? It's one of the biggest shows right now and people didn't want to miss it. Things like this happen.

From PWInsider.
The 2/11 edition of Impact did a 1.19 rating, with 1,613,000 viewers.
Not good at all.
