Am i the only one who notices that ebay is getting worse again when it comes to frauds? There was a time that ebay got really better and it was rare to see a fraud reported. But recently its going down the hill again...
Speaking of which i won a jericho from this guy in UK, 3 weeks ago...
I sent a message 2 days ago asking if my item had been sent...
I got a typical fraud answer: "hi there, i am sure my husband posted this last week will check as he is on holiday till 15th and get back to you 2morrow
thanks"
No need to say i didnt get that answer the following day...

I've been using Ebay since around 97-98 and I've not once had a problem where I didn't get the item I won and paid for.

From time to time I have issues. But mostly, my experiences are pretty decent.

The only issue I ever had with eBay was I was buying a mcfarlane football figure and the auction said he accepted paypal. When it was over I went to pay and he said he only took money orders and once he received payment he would mail it. I told him I didn't want to send the money and not have any kind of security and I would gladly pay with paypal so he left me negative feedback saying I refused to pay him.

I don't really use ebay. Especially not on something I should be able to find at my local retail store. If I do use it it's for something for my wife or for something that I had as a kid in the 70's or 80's, but never on a new figure.

Recently I've used eBay a lot too. As a seller I've had at least 2 people in the past 2 months win items I was selling and not even bothering to pay for them..so I did the right thing and reported them. But, as a buyer I've paid for everything immediately as I think everyone should do on eBay once they win the bid.

You have to be extremely cautious really. I bought from someone with 100% feedback and got screwed. Theres a lot of dodgy people out there.

ive dealt with multiple people on ebay and never got screwed, sometimes they took their sweet time to ship but i got them eventually. theres a few that i make a point to check their stores to see if they have the figure im looking for before i choose one at random.

You have to be very cautious with ebay because some of the sellers are grade 'A' pricks. They like to say I am at a funeral for my grandma.. Yeah right grandma is probably in on it too!

Fraud increasing? I don't think so, it's just your bad luck.
Just be wary of who u buy from and check out their feedback. For eg. i just bought a sports cards= wwe topps card of HHH's ringside relice and it took 1 mth to get to me.
He had feedback of being a slow shipper due to the high volume of cards he sells.

I hate hearing ebay horrors I've been selling stuff on it for probably 8 years and have never had a packaged lost and only a couple bad apples that never paid. 1 guy bought a bunch of TMNT stuff from me and never paid, I think he was from Germany.

Yeah, I was ripped as well two times. Last times it was from roostas_wrestling_store on eBay. First he said it was shipped, after several weeks I opened a PayPal dispute and then he said he would send a replacement and post the tracking code, and he asked for tzhe PayPal dispute to be closed. When I received the shipment with the posted tracking code, there was only a letter in it, no figure. He he is such a scammer! Posted this topic several days ago but it was closed by an admin who seems to get paid by him. Corruption is everywhere. I´m busy today with my work, but tomorrow I´ll send some reminders through the internet that he still ows me a figure/money. You should do the same! As long as screwed buyers stay calm, scammers will continue to screw people!

As long as screwed buyers stay calm, scammers will continue to screw people! I'm actually celebrating my 10 year eBay anniversary this month! I've been an active eBay member for 10 years and have only had a handful of issues. But when I saw the name "roostas" it really caught my attention as he also ripped me off - claiming i did not send something, when I actually did. AVOID this eBayer at all costs. Spread the word... But I don't want to leave readers with a sour taste in their mouth, so in honour of my 10 year anniversary - Check out my eBay store. If there's something you like, buy it, and I'll take 20% off your purchase until the end of the month, January 31, 2010. Just tell me you read my post here! Happy eBayin'

This thread just reminded me of someone in the US who scammed me on ebay last year (didn't send figures I paid them for). I just sent them a message about it there now. Way too late to file a dispute or anything, but just thought I'd let them know I remember and that it was a poopty thing to do to someone.
