I'll get one up as soon as I get a decent one, took a quick one to send a friend who was asking, but it's a bit out of focus. In an awkward area to photograph myself though.

Odd Ha, didn't realise how weird that actually sounded. It's on the outside of my wrist so it's pretty awkward to get a decent photo of it. Here's a quick photo that I took when I got home, for some reason the direct link seems to be working but when I try to use an image code it says it has been moved or deleted. i1304.photobucket.com/albums/s530/RuairidhGauld/E202879C-4FD9-46CB-ABB2-00A97152F989-4461-000003DFE40DAE1F-1.jpg

I like it. It's very solid and done well. Yeah I'm really happy with it, thankfully I have a really good studio 10 minutes away. Didn't even know it was there till a friend recommended it. Checked their work out online and I was sold completely.

I really want to get my first tattoo and have for a while now but I don't want it to be a pile of crapthat means nothing.
So my question to everybody, what does some of your tattoos mean? What do they stand for? Whats a good place for a first tattoo?

I really want to get my first tattoo and have for a while now but I don't want it to be a pile of crap that means nothing. So my question to everybody, what does some of your tattoos mean? What do they stand for? Whats a good place for a first tattoo? I don't really have a lot of meaning in my ink. The only one's that REALLY mean anything to me are the sugar skull I have for my father, and my dachshund's paw print. The only one with PERSONAL meaning to me are my fingers, that spell out "hopeless" with a heart w/ an arrow through it to symbolize "romantic". My first tattoo was the Tiger Army "tiger bat" logo, then I got a 77 circled for the punk band Blanks 77 the day after I saw, met, and hung out with them a little (thanks to GrumpyOldMan here on the forum letting me know they were playing in Austin, TX). Those are two of my favorite bands, if I ever got anything else music-related on me it'd be "Born to Lose, Live to Win" for Motorhead. Leonardo was my favorite Ninja Turtle, I love Spider-Man, my atomic bomb was just because of my nickname, and my thumb lightning bolts were done in reference to Ellen Page in the movie Super. The eye I have on my right wrist... I just got done because I thought it'd be cool. It literally has zero meaning to me. Next bits of ink? I want a comic Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead on the back of my left hand, sometime very soon I'm getting the back of my right hand done with an old school traditional Tiger's head with "True Romance" above it (Tiger Army), and I'm planning on getting the old SuicideGirls logo on my right forearm. Not all tattoos need deep personal meaning... I just get what I genuinely like, and can live with forever.

I was SUPPOSED to have my vacation from work the 25th-2nd, but one of my coworkers is going back home to Seattle for a month, so I have to wait. I'm waiting until then, because it's REALLY hard for hand tattoos to heal well when you're constantly using them (your hands). At the same time I'm going to have my thumbs and fingers touched up. I'm REALLY excited, Lance Staggs at Inkfluence in Lubbock, TX is supposed to do it. We've known each other since high school. I'm blown away at how truly talented the guy is.

I'm on the right... The Harley Davidson chop is my dad's (standing beside me) and was built in tribute to my terminally ill five year old sister, Harley. This tattoo is a tribute for my terminally ill five year old sister, Harley. She adores motorbikes, especially the sound of Harley Davidsons. (Five hours work in total). In the process of having my throat tattooed. (Four and a half hours work in total). 'Taker on my shin. Excuse the squint, the sun was in my eyes! I'm pretty covered to be honest, sleeved arms, most of my legs, most of my stomach and chest, my back has been started, I have my right foot tattooed, both hands, my throat and both sides of my neck. I'm employed too, I work most nights on security!

Since you're pretty much covered, what would you say was the most painful place to get done? I'm already thinking about my first tattoo Not sure where I would like to get it done though.

I'm already thinking about my first tattoo Not sure where I would like to get it done though. It's usually pretty quiet on the site I work at, but I cover up more in the winter due to the cold - summer nights I'm only ever in my security short sleeve shirt and black trousers! I'm quite tall too, my dad is just over 6'5" and I'm not far off lol The most painful so far has been my foot, but only the outline.

Thanks for the painful spot note

Big HIM fan I see. To the point of recreating Ville's design on your right arm.
I've got a number of HIM tattoos myself. Love seeing other fans.

I'm a huge fan I got to see them live in 2010 which was amazing! I had my "Ville sleeve" done very cheaply by an apprentice artist but most of the ink just came out! I'm in the process of having it re-done as my artist only charges me £150 for a day sitting because I know him personally

Hi guys Since I am constantly thinking about potential first ink, besides a Sin and Bones piece, I have thought of this: This is my favourite cover of The Walking Dead, just looks so damn good. I'm not sure where I would think about getting it done though, back of the hand, shoulder area? If you have any ideas, I would like to hear them Just an idea for when I'm a bit older.

I'd get it done on the shoulder. It's a cool design but will be a bit risky on hand, i think employers are way less likely to hire you if you have something on the back of the hand. and rightly so imo!
