I know a couple people with the heartagram tattoo that are glad they got it. Granted they are young. But Im all for getting a tattoo based on a favorite band. Hell my next is going to be a "Senses Fail" tattoo. Yea, I don't regret mine.

i got a few questions before I get my first tattoo
I assume the sun can fade the tattoo, is that correct? What happens my skin gets sunburned and peels, how or will it affect the tattoo? Also say I just start working out alot and my arms get huge, will the tattoo "grow" or stretch out with my arms?

In fact, if you are going to spend 30 minutes in the sun, or more - I'd recommend you use a sunblock with at least an SPF of 50. The sun is the BIGGEST threat to ink, UV rays are awful damaging. Gaining size may distort your tattoo, however, it will probably be minimal - and I'm sure a touch up would help if you find yourself needing one.

I;m liking it... i did think that you had the same tattoo on both arms for a minute tho nope, just one tat. i got that one finished in august. the dragon tat isn't mine, it's just an idea of what i want to get on my other arm. i wanna get that over with before it gets warm outside so i don't have to go through a few weeks without going to beach during the summer.

I've heard from a few people that muscle growth is such a slow process that it usually doesn't ruin tattoos, but it could if you were juicing and the growth was rapid. As Adam mentioned, you might need a touch up here or there depending on how your body reacts, but it shouldn't be a major problem.

Tanning BedsWhat about tanning beds? Indoor tanners are just as damaging as the sun, if not more so. The ultraviolet rays are much more concentrated and people tend to over-expose themselves in tanning beds, not realizing their own limits. Burning the skin damages a tattoo even more than slowly tanning. Again, if you must do it, protect your ink! At Risk?If you don't like laying out in the burning sun or getting a tan, does that mean you're not at risk? Maybe not. Most of us spend more time exposed to the sun than we realize. Ever get home and find your left arm sunburned from resting your arm on your car window while driving? Or find yourself getting tan lines just from running errands or working outside? Any time that your tattoo is going to be exposed to the sun, cover it! You can cover it with clothing or sunscreen, or stay in the shade. source: tattoo.about.com/cs/tatfaq/a/tanning.htm
