After really looking, searching, trying to trade & having a couple of deals fall through......."FINALLY, the 1/1000 Taker has come to Wagdaddy!" As I posted before, my little brother found one in Little Rock, AR and shipped it to me-I was really surprised it got here so quickly.......so, behold the glory:
While I realize this figure is NOT the "End All-Be All" of Taker figs....hell, its far from being the best Taker figure available and honestly, while I have had fun looking-the actual belt is dorky looking....it really should have been a coin or a belt, not a combo of the two, but being the novelty figure that it is-again, I have had fun tracking one down, something that Jakks hasn't provided in awhile.
Currently, I own 4 1/1000:
I will more than likely, trade (or sell) the other three.....however, its my opinion the WalMart Exclusive Triple H shown above with the with the Mattel Collector's Guide and sticker will, more than likely become the most collectable of this lot.
Personally, I love the Taker figure most of all and since I have a small Taker collection, I wanted a 1/1000 Taker......but the WalMart 1/1000 will probably retain their value moreso than the other 1/1000's.
Now I suppose I the only other thing I will look for is the 1/1000 Austin, # 316, that one I think will be the most sought after of all of these first run of Mattel figs......I hope that Mattel continues to do some type of chase/variant type of figs to continue some type of challenge while collecting.
