He had it going good, but then he ruined the moment by using that STUPID reaction "Really? Really?" God I hate that s**t.

What was wrong with JBL? Towards the end of his career, he was boring but I ing <3'ed his WWE Title run.

Wouldn't surprise me if he was referencing actual events. Afterall, I've never heard commentators go out of their way to mention how much they dislike a guy like JBL and Foley did when calling Miz matches. Granted Foley wasn't as bad about it, but JBL would just come out of nowhere with insults toward Miz. Which always seemed odd to me since JBL was the heel of the team and should have been siding with most, if not all, heels on the brand. Yeah, I totally get what you mean. It's like everything all sort of clicked together when he mentioned that. Great promo last night. It really was the best part of RAW for me. It still really is incredible to look at how much he's improved from when he first started out on SmackDown!.

I love how everyone says MVP gets face pops, but when MVP came out, it was dead as hell. yup they didnt give one about him last night. Miz showed real promise with that promo though.he carried himself very well.

The entire promo including the segment with MVP was great even though MVP will revert back to his goofy self next week. But the start of the Miz's promo backstage really did seem like a mini worked shoot against JBL and everyone else who watched wrestling circa 2005 when he was painfully bad as a face.

As a fan for over ten years, one of the most solid/best promos I've ever seen. Whoever wrote that segment deserves a raise. THAT is how you build a mid card feud, build a champion, and establish credibility to superstars all at the same time. BRAVO. My sentiments exactly. Sucks that MVP has to feud over the US strap again, instead of eventually moving to the main title...but it's better than stagnation. There was an intensity and maturity to that promo last night that I feel had been lacking since HBK vs. Jericho when Y2J initially turned two years ago. Miz, although at times I've hated on him- has grown leaps and bounds. JBL was obviously the biggest instigator and initiation ring leader. There's been reports of him hopping in showers with newer guys, beating guys down as an example or insult, and openly voicing his displeasure for many young guys and not allowing them to receive a push- and I'm glad that negative karma is gone from the locker room now.

I feel the promo is strongly overrated. The best part was the jbl impersonation. Other then that just a solid promo but nothin amazing. And boy would I love to see a JBL right hand to the miz's face.

Best promo of 2010 IMO. Both of them are my two faves on Raw, but I hope MVP wins and Miz goes onto bigger things like a feud with HBK. This is why you should give mic time every week to these two. First of all, it's the twelfth day of January. There hasn't been that many promos this year. With that said, you're still wrong, because the HBK/Bret Hart promo beats this one out, easily, and it was also in 2010. It was an interesting segment, though, and it was a very good promo. I see no reason for HBK to get into a feud with the Miz right now.

Yeah, the promo was entertaining. Normally I mute the tv when The Miz comes on because he has nothing relevant to say, but this time he really took a big step.
The back and forth between MVP and The Miz was good too. A little soft on MVP's part, but not really his fault when the subject matter gets hindered by a PG rating.

I thought this was the best promo of the careers (thus far) of both Miz and MVP. It still doesn't really interest me in their match, since they had one not long ago at the MSG Raw.

Guess most of your TV's are on mute then, because there was "Miz is Awesome" and "MVP" chants all the way through. I don't see anybody mentioning Kofi Kingston getting the Conway Pop to the extreme last night.

A worked shoot is still a WORK. And Miz still sucks. This is made for MVP to get over, not MIZ. Miz has the title to try to help him get over, not because he has any skills. He will always be Joe Midcarder, if he is lucky.

I don't see anybody mentioning Kofi Kingston getting the Conway Pop to the extreme last night. That first part is true, whether anyone likes it or not, Miz and MVP were both getting chants. But you're wrong about the second part Jsyn, because the crowd definitely were cheering for his big moves (that crossbody got a nice pop) and they were joining in the 'boom, boom, boom' thing. I don't think the crowd were bad at all. Apart from at the beginning, where they were chanting random things (lmao), they were just being respectful and being quiet when people are talking, and then joining in when they need too. I think the crowds have just changed a bit over the years. EDIT: Whoops, forgot to mention The Miz. I thought he did alright last night. I know, I've admitted it. He's okay when he sounds a bit intelligent and when he avoids his awful catchphrases. Seriously. He is good on the mic until he starts going 'Realllllly? Realllllly?' and 'I am awesome!!!!' A superstar who's 'come a long way' shouldn't need a catchphrase that a 12 year old would use. And MVP was damn good too.

Yeah, the promo was good, but he's still not the second coming like people are making him out to be. I wouldn't bank on him never being a main event player though. He shouldn't be in my eyes, but anything can happen. ANYTHING (Hi Sheamus).

He will always be Joe Midcarder, if he is lucky. Miz is already extremely over. He gets a huge set of boos and is one of the focal attractions of Raw. He got the belt because he earned it, this time 5 years ago, he was messing up his lines on the diva search, now he's one of the best talkers in the business and one of the move improved stars ever. Everything he said last night was true, everyone doubted him, the commentators, the wrestlers, the internet. We were all waiting for him to get released, I've got a tremendous ammount of respect for The Miz. He has a passion for the business, and if that hasn't showed in the past 5 years, then I don't know what passion is. I want both of the guys to get over, I want MVP to win and Miz to move onto better things. That's the only way to establish both, if MVP loses, he's doomed. Because Miz won't lose any momentum, MVP will.

JBL commented on it on his Facebook page;
That's pretty cool. Not sure where he got the "dinosaur" thing from though.
