- Alex Shelley of the Motor City Machine Guns is in really bad shape A scan revealed he has several bulging disks and herniated neck.
- Despite signing a deal with MMA promotion Strikeforce, The Figure Four Weekly Newsletter reports that Bobby Lashley is still with TNA and will continue to be used by the company. However, there is said to be no real idea on how long that will last. Lashley reportedly feels he can still take part in TNA as long as it is four or five days a month. Lashley has also stated that once he starts facing top competition that he will more than likely have zero time to devote to wrestling and TNA. His opponent for Strikeforce on January 30 in Sunrise, FL is Yohan Banks (who is 2-1 in his MMA career).
= While Brooke Hogan seemed to state or even slip on Bubba the Love Sponge that Impact would be returning live again this Monday (the night after the Genesis PPV on January 18), The Wrestling Observer is reporting that nothing has been announced by TNA and an upcoming tour of the UK seems to indicate that no changes are expected for the rest of this month. The company will be taping four weeks worth of Impact shows on January 18, 19 and 20 in Orlando and will head to the UK for a tour starting on January 23 in Glasgow, Scotland. They would obviously have to make some major changes to the schedule if there were plans to have Impact go live every Monday night so it isn't likely at this time.
- Scott Hall and Sean Waltman are both working on short-term deals with TNA reports The Figure Four Weekly Newsletter. Hall was described by many as being in much better shape since the last time he was used by the company. There was a said to be a little heat on Waltman for showing up late for last week's Tuesday Impact taping that will air tomorrow night on Spike TV.
