Does your Mattel figures make you hate your Jakks collection? I was comparing some of my new Mattel with my Jakks (basically to justify to my wife why I'm starting over) and it made me see how truly bad some Jakks figures really were. There is just no comparison with Orton, Santino, & Dibiase from Mattel. Those figures are just perfect in every way. And the Jakks counterparts are awful.
Am I the only one who hates my old Jakks collection now, or is this kinda common?

I wouldn't say 'hate,' though it is true that the only reason I bought any new Mattel figures is because they were an upgrade over their Jakks counterparts.

i can no way shape or form say that Mattel is better than jakks when it comes to certain headscans and making signature heavyweights look like cruisers and I mean batista, cena, HHH etc. it sucks that cena has such smaller arms than in real life. but when it does come to making attires, cloth materials, mattel owns jakks
there will never be a top of the line figure from each company, theres always going to be problems. to have figures on the market with flaws contained makes the wrestling figure market exciting.

I'm keeping my bigger guys in JAKKS, but I got Kofi, Bourne, Jericho to REPLACE my JAKKS versions since they were so huge.

Is this going to be one of the many topics again where people are going to bash Jakks again?
Anyway, my answer is no. I never thought that Jakks has brought us any real bad figures, and I think that Mattel is still in the process of proving themselves to their customers.
In my opinion it's way too early to start comparing, and thus judging the two; just give Mattel two years or so, and then ask again......who says they won't give us any repaints or more bad headsculpts?

I don't hate it, but as a whole I do think the Mattel figures look way better.

I don't HATE[/b] my Jakks collection. Hate is a very strong word. But I will say that I like Mattel more than Jakks enough that I am selling over 80% of my Jakks figures.

Hm. I began to sell my Jakks RA/DA/CS/CSDA off within weeks of Mattel getting the WWE license.
So I liked Mattel better sight unseen.
If Mattel simply released Flex Force and nothing else, I would take those unique molds over Jakks Undertaker and Evan Bourne sharing the same lower body.

It doesn't make me hate my Jakks figures, but it sure does make me think "Wow, Jakks was lazy on so many levels when it came to body molds".
What I'm doing with Jakks & Mattel is if I think the Mattel figure looks better than the Jakks one I have, I buy the Mattel one. I prefer my Jakks Finlay (Road to WM figure & DA head) & Hornswoggle over the Mattel ones, so I didn't buy the Mattel ones.

Well kinda. Because I'm an animator and I want to animate with mattel and basically leave Jakks in the dust but Mattel is really hard to animate with for some reason.

Mattel made Jakks their bitch within their first series releases.
That's kind of sad on Jakks part.
