Hey,
I am trying to hunt down pictures for every MOC/MIB WWF LJN figure there was and for some reason, I just cannot seem to find a picture of the Strike Force tag-team set.
I've got pictures of them on single cards, but I would love to get a picture of them in the 2-pack box set. I know they were available in a 2-pack because I still have their tag-team poster that came with them from when I was a kid.
If anyone has a picture of the Strike Force tag-team box set, PLEASE post it!! Thanks in advance.

Pretty freakin' rare, that's for sure!! I mean, from the looks of it, it's not in the greatest condition. But when you take into consideration that it is from 1988, which means it's 22+ years old, it's remarkable that it is in as good of shape as it is. Truly a great piece to own for sure.

Is there any truth to the rumors that these, other tag team sets, and the value packs, were primarily released in Canada?

I don't know about the value packs but the tag sets could be found anywhere LJNs were sold in Canada I think that the single figures on Black Cards and Single Tag Team Wrestlers (ie Dynamite Kid and DaveyBoy on single cards) were more likely to be found in Canada. I remember seeing the Strike Force box set @ a Canadian Tire, basically an automotive and household store but they carry toys around Christmas in 1991 for $6canadian. they had a wall of them

Is there any truth to the rumors that these, other tag team sets, and the value packs, were primarily released in Canada? The later tag team sets were difficult to find at retail in the U.S. In the beginning, they were abundant in just about every store where I lived. Mostly the Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff pack and the Hulk Hogan & Hillbilly Jim pack. They were shelfwarmers (particularly Sheik & Volkoff) where I lived, so by the time the much better LJN tag team packs came out (Bees, Hart Foundation, British Bulldogs, Strike Force) our local stores had stopped ordering the tag team packs since they were having trouble unloading the ones they had in stock already. I lived in upstate NY and looked at the LJN aisle every time I went into a store for about 5-6 years, and I think the only tag team pack I ever saw at retail other than Sheik & Volkoff and Hogan & Hillbilly was the Killer Bees, and I only recall seeing it once.

I never seen The Tag Team sets in Stores when I was a kid (I lived in Northern Pennyslvania)... But My sister did order me the Hart Foundation for Xmas thru a wrestling magazine.. I received the Bulldogs in a wild trade as a kid from my friend (don't remember what I traded but I know it was alot) and I received the killer Bees in another trade which was probably the dumbest trade in history but at the time I didn't care because I had to have the Bees figures ( I traded a TON of sports cards which included a Michael Jordan rookie, who was hot at the time but who would of thought he would turn out the way he did, also the trade included Rookies of Don Mattingly, Ricky Henderson, 2nd year Joe Montana and a Ton of other cards which I care to forget)........ Of Course the Killer Bees won my tag titles as soon as I got them home (From the bulldogs if I remember correctly).. Damn I miss my childhood at times...............

Good god, those are in remarkable shape! Please don't tell me those price tags on them say $2.99 and $1.96 like I think they do. If so, I'll kick my one year old self (age at their release) for not buying all of them. lol

Thanks for those. I didnt realize they were both released in the Strike Force gear on single cards. Ive only seen the Purple Tito. I think once the NWA line is completely done I may fire up and try to start a loose mint/near mint LJN line

The tito did have a new bio card for the white trunks. Thats one I cannot seem to find ever and one of the last few I need. The tag team also has just one bio card with both in it.
