As I see all of the figures people have been buying here and I am impressed! I really enjoy the mattel figures a lot. but Recently I purchased Elite 1 Rey and it was 16!!!! As much as I really want these figures, It's really hard financially to afford them all. I am trying to save money for TNA figures. I was laid off last year as well so it's really hard to try to invest in 2 collections. I want to stick with Jakks and TNA so all my figures mold together but I really like Mattel as well. I want to know how you guys are able to keep up with this>

No offense, not here to judge your life situation, but since the topic is being able to afford the figures and you brought it up...if you don't have a job, you should probably focus on finding an income instead of collecting toys.

It's not off-topic, and it wasn't malicious. I'm on this site to discuss WWE action figures and get information on them. How about yourself?

i dont think he was being harsh to you. hes just saying if you dont have a job then you really shouldnt be buying toys.. ok, i understand that but I have an internship and I do get money from selling my other figures so I can afford figures at times, I am 18 so being unemployed doesn't affect to me bad. it just sucks that NO ONE is hiring and I keep trying and trying.

Collecting figures while unemployed is still feasible. Just sell old figures taking up space in your house to get the money to buy new ones you want. That's what I do.

also if I couldn't afford figures AT ALL, I wouldn't have even asked this, the main question was for those that are going to invest in WWE and TNA, how do you all keep up with it.

Well as long as you're trying, that's all that matters. I wasn't trying to come off like a prick, but sometimes it's difficult to tell over the internet.
I know this sounds weird, but you could try donating blood and plasma for some extra cash.

I wonder if we'll get a decent looking TNA Hogan figure from Jakks?
If so, that might be a reason for me to buy at least ONE thing from Jakks again seeing as CS is gone and I missed my chance there for a Hulk Hogan at retail price.

I'm just buying them a little at a time when I have the extra cash. I started with the ones I really wanted (Elite Mysterio, WM Stone Cold, Glamarella). I'll get more when I can. I'm in no hurry to get a complete set since the entire collection is only a half a month old. If you can wait 11 months, have family or friends buy them for you for Christmas or your birthday.

or instead of buying just one figure. save your money until you can afford a few and capitalize on sales stores are having. Kmart was doing buy 2 get 1 free and toys r us was doing spend $40 and $10 off.

I'm not unemployed, but, being away at school, my income is severely cut back. So, I have just been planning out my purchases. For instance, I plan to buy the Colons if I see them soon, along with Morrison/Miz IF there's a sale. However, if no sale, I'll wait for the SSeries line. Planning out how I'm going to spend $30ish dollars here and there isn't too difficult. That's just my situation though.

You can get money from donating blood? That's a first. If you need money just start a pyramid scheme or be a goverment test subject where they pay you.

I beleive he was just making a point that maybe figs shouldnt be a concern right now. I think you'll be able to keep up once you have a steady income and can put a bit aside for figs.

Like KJ said... I don't drink or smoke so I have more income then some. Now I do have a wife & son that come first. But I make good money at work so my collecting is usually never an issue. Right now I'm selling a lot of my Jakks figures to guys from work to make a little extra so my wife don't kill me. Good luck with the job search.
