WWE Over the Limit: Sunday 23rd May 2010...Pretty nice decision to have Rey Mysterio and Ezekiel Jackson's feud continue on the dark match before the pay-per-view commenced. Hoping to see Zeke on pay-per-view next month though, he has the potential to be big in the company. Decent promo to kick off the show by CM Punk, basically a last-minute preparation from the Straight Edge Society before Punk goes on to face MVP. Punk picking up the win is fine; best decision to be honest, but hoping Montel Vontavious Porter will get somewhere on SmackDown. It's now or never for MVP if you ask me. Decent follow up with the WWE United States Championship defended successfully by Christian against Cody Rhodes; not that bad a match, definitely opening contest worthy, though. Not a bad decision to have the Hart Dynasty become WWE Unified Tag Team Champions; ShoMiz's time is up, and they've had a decent partnership but now they need to move on. I suppose Big Show will be going face whilst The Miz goes heel; that's probably the best way to go. Jack Swagger beating Ted Dibiase; not really the best match on the card tonight if you ask me, I feel these two would have a slightly awkward match. Swagger with the win is good though, he deserves a push to the top. Natalya winning the WWE Divas Championship from Maryse is fine; just, the same night that her boys, Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith won the other belts. It seemed predictable. Triple H and Sheamus going to a doule count-out obviously sets up for a later rematch unless Triple H was taken out of the equation altogether here. Not a problem though as it makes Sheamus look...well, not golden. Pale. In a good way. Chris Jericho and Edge's match was great; but not main eventing for the World Heavyweight Championship after the amount of build is disappointing. It just appeared as another successful defense. Not that grand but hopefully their feud continues, to be honest. It needs an amazing finish to the rivalry; this would be anticlimatic. Lastly, massive WWE Championship main event which was very sweet; ruined by the two masked men though. Batista winning the WWE Championship was acceptable though. A decent pay-per-view, propells things as we continue to head into summer.

WWEOverTheLimit: First of all, a great card lined up for the PPV. Banning the SES from ringside is great and it'll make Punk look even better if he wins. Good decision to put Punk over, he needed it more. loving this layout. Rhodes vs. Christian is a nice match. Christian retaining is great and Rhodes getting on PPV is good even if he lost. Great title victory for THD, I liked Big Show turning on Miz too. Swagger going over Ted is cool, like Rhodes good to see the two of them get on the show. Yes! Natalya is champion! great job. Sheamus and Triple H ending in a double countout is good. Wow, I'm scared, what's Vince going to do? lol. Edge and Christian as tag champions again would be great. Spear into a Codebreaker! and Jericho retains. great match good finish and this isn't over. Great way to give Batista the title btu I really am wondering who the masked men are. Great Over the Limit and I REALLY can't wait for the fallout.

MAY 24TH, 2010 - TOLEDO, OHIO
Kane def. Mike Knox
Chavo Guerrero w/ Vickie Guerrero def. Evan Bourne
"Yes, sir, we promised you a great Main Event..."
- Before the show begins, we see a recap of last night's WWE Over the Limit. It shows all the Raw side of the action, featuring Big Show turning on The Miz which allowed The Hart Dynasty to take the Unified Tag Team Championships. We also see Christian defeating Cody Rhodes to retain the United States Championship, Natalya defeating Maryse to gain the Divas Championship, Sheamus and Triple H going to a Double Countout, and finally, Batista taking the WWE Championship in the Main Event, with the help of two mysterious, masked men. We then cut to the opening package.
- The pyrotechnics explode from the stage as 'Burn it to the Ground' echoes around the arena. The Ohio crowd are pumped for this fallout edition of Monday Night Raw. Michael Cole and Jerry 'The King' Lawler welcome us to another edition of Raw and reveal that tonight, Mr. McMahon has vowed that there will be a brand new General Manager for Monday Night Raw, right here, tonight! They also tell us that tonight, John Cena will take on Ezekiel Jackson in our Main Event in possibly Jackson's biggest match of his career in a WWE Fatal 4 Way Qualifying match. They also tell us that Randy Orton will take on Rey Mysterio and John Morrison will take on Sheamus in two more Fatal 4 Way Qualifying matches. We then hear the theme of John Cena to a massive pop. He comes out with a pretty serious look on his face, but his love for the WWE Universe won't allow him to not taunt. He runs down the ramp slapping some hands and then enters the ring before speaking to his beloved WWE Universe.
- Cena says that last night, his worst nightmare came true, and that is the fact that Batista walked out as the WWE Champion. The crowd boo at the mere mention of Batista's name. Cena says that tonight, he gets his chance to challenge for the title again in a Fatal 4 Way Qualifying match against Ezekiel Jackson. However, before all that, Cena says he has something he wants to get off of his chest. He reminds us how last night he was brutally attacked by two masked men during the Main Event, costing him his chance at the WWE Championship. Cena says that he demands to know who these men are, and wants them to reveal themselves instead of being cowards behind masks. Cena calls them out and we have a few moments of silence before a theme hits. But to everyone's disappointment, it is the theme of the Chairman, Mr. McMahon. He struts out with a smile on his face and then speaks to Cena. He tells him that last night was just an unfortunate break for Cena, nothing more. Cena says he knows that McMahon had something to do with it, and he wants to know why. McMahon shouts at him, telling him he shouldn't dare accuse him of anything like that. He tells Cena that after he stuck his nose in the business regarding Bret Hart, he doesn't deserve the WWE Championship, but Batista does. Cena says that Batista is a monster that doesn't care for anyone but himself, and that isn't what a WWE Champion should be. McMahon laughs and says that Cena is getting stale, the same old act over and over again, yet the people love it. He says that it doesn't matter how much the WWE Universe love it, as long as he is breathing, Cena won't go anywhere near the WWE Championship. Cena shakes his head as the crowd boo. McMahon then smirks and says "Enjoy this...". Suddenly, the two masked characters from last night jump John Cena with two steel chairs. They beat him down with shots to the spine until he is rolling around in pain. The masked men quickly flee as referees jump into the ring. Jerry Lawler jumps in as well, checking on Cena. We then fade to a commercial break.
WWE Fatal 4 Way Qualifying Match - Sheamus def. John Morrison | After last night, Sheamus looked monstrous. He was definitely over as a major heel and is now on his way back to the top of the food chain. John Morrison definitely shows a valiant effort though, and it even looked like he was going to win at one stage, but unluckily for him, Matt Hardy still had this vendetta against him and came to ringside, distracting Morrison. Hardy kept shouting "Come on Jeff!" which completely confused everyone. The WWE Universe and everyone else thinks that Matt has completely lost his mind. Morrison turns around into a massive Bicycle Kick from Sheamus which ends the match and gives Sheamus the Fatal 4 Way spot. Sheamus celebrates, leaving the ring to a lot of heat. Matt Hardy enters the ring as Morrison gets to his feet. Matt grabs Morrison's face and says "I'm the better brother, you hear me?!", and then follows it up with a vicious Twist of Fate. We then fade backstage. |
- Backstage, Bret Hart is shown along with the new Unified Tag Team Champions, The Hart Dynasty, and the new Divas Champion, Natalya. All three then him for their chances at the belts, and he says they all deserved it. However, this family fun is interrupted by the former Unified Tag Team Champion, The Miz. He has a huge, red swelling on the side of his face from Big Show's Knockout Punch which gets a few laughs from the crowd. Hart and The Hart Dynasty try to hold in they laughs, but they can't help it. Miz shouts at Hart, saying that he didn't deserve to lose the Unified Tag Team Championships and demands a rematch with another partner. Hart looks at his family and then at The Miz before telling him he can have his title match next week on Raw, so he has one week to find a new partner. Bret then says that in the mean time, Miz has his match with Bryan Danielson, and it's up next. Miz storms off as the Hart Family burst into laughter. We the cut to a promo package.
- We see a promo package for WWE Fatal 4 Way, airing on the 20th of June, 2010. We then cut to a commercial break.
Bryan Danielson def. The Miz | Danielson challenged The Miz to this match last week after he made his Raw debut. After all the months of The Miz's 'tough love' on WWE NXT, Danielson was ready to take Miz out. Miz obviously wasn't himself, pretty distraught about his title losses in the past month, and then being hit by the Big Show doesn't really help. Danielson finally got his own back when he delivered a roundhouse kick to The Miz's face, right on the sore spot where he received the Knockout Punch. Danielson then locked in Cattle Mutilation and The Miz was forced to tap out. Danielson celebrated, rubbing the victory in Miz's face, smiling at him as he got to his feet. The Miz had a tantrum and started stomping on the mat, screaming that he doesn't deserve this. We then fade to a promo package. |
- We see a 'Don't Try This' package featuring Raw superstar, John Cena. We then got backstage.
- We are shown John Cena in the medical room with some physios. They are holding ice packs on his back as he tells them where it hurts. Suddenly, the WWE Champion, Batista walks in to a ton of heat. Cena wants to get up in anger, but the medics hold him down, saying he needs to rest. Batista says he isn't here to fight anyway, and simply wants to tell Cena that win or lose tonight, he won't be taking the WWE Championship anytime soon. Cena says that once he finds out who these masked men are, he is coming after Batista and the WWE Championship will be his again. Batista chuckles and says "We'll see" before walking off with a smirk on his face. Cena relaxes and we fade to ringside.
- We see the former Divas Champion, Maryse make her way to the ring alongside the mystery woman. They both enter the ring and Maryse grabs a microphone before speaking to the WWE Universe. She says that last night, she was unprofessionally robbed of her Divas Championship as she was not ready for competition. She says that she demands a rematch at WWE Fatal 4 Way. Maryse says that she now has her rematch, and introduces the mystery woman to us all. She reveals her name as April Lee, Maryse's new protege. Maryse says that they are going to win their match, right now. We then hear the theme of Gail Kim as she comes out with Kelly Kelly.
Maryse & April Lee def. Gail Kim & Kelly Kelly | This was quite a quick match, but it got the new April Lee over, and gave her a name to her face. Maryse kicked things off with Kelly Kelly, but the match eventually came down to April Lee with Kelly Kelly. April Lee hit an amazing Shining Wizard, almost beheading Kelly, knocking her out cols. Maryse held Gail Kim back as Lee got the cover and the victory. April Lee and Maryse left ringside with smiles on their faces as Gail Kim checked on Kelly Kelly. we then fade to a commercial break. |
- We return to see Randy Orton backstage, preparing for his match to a huge pop. There is a knock on the door and in walks his opponent, Rey Mysterio to another huge pop. Mysterio says he is sorry to see Orton lose the WWE Championship last night. Orton just turns his head away. Mysterio then says that tonight, they face off in a Qualifying match, and as much as he respect Randy, he won't be pulling any punches, and he will be going all out to get his WWE Championship match. Orton looks at him and says "Ditto". Mysterio nods his head and then leaves as Orton looks on blank faced. We then fade to ringside.
WWE Fatal 4 Way Qualifying Match - Randy Orton def. Rey Mysterio | These two were definitely ready to go to Fatal 4 Way for the title, but Orton seemed much more ready, obviously having lost the WWE Championship just last night. This went back and forth and both men had very close counts at least once. Rey Mysterio dropped Orton for the 619 and connected. Orton was getting to his feet and it looked like Mysterio was going to go for the Senton, but he spring-boarded off the top rope and Orton leaped up, connecting with a massive RKO as the crowd went wild. Orton covered Mysterio to get the three count and advance to WWE Fatal 4 Way in the WWE Championship match. After the match, Orton helped Mysterio to his feet and patted him on the head. Mysterio clapped Orton and left the ring. Orton did his signature taunt as we fade backstage. |
- We are shown the United States Champion, Christian and R-Truth backstage to a huge pop. He is approached by Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes who get a lot of heat. Ziggler touches Christian's Championship, but Christian slaps his hand away. Ziggler acts all cocky, saying "Ooh, Christian getting mad?". Christian tells Ziggler and Rhodes to get lost because he doesn't want to see him before their match up next. Rhodes says that after they beat him and R-Truth tonight, they want a United States Championship match. Christian says that if they do, he' give it to them. Ziggler smirks and tells Christian to keep the belt warm. Christian says he'll keep it very warm because it isn't going anywhere. Ziggler and Rhodes walk off as we fade to a promo package.
- We see a package advertising the June 7th edition of Monday Night Raw as the night of the King of the Ring Tournament! We then cut to a commercial break.
Dolph Ziggler & Cody Rhodes def. Christian & R-Truth | This was a quick match which featured four possible US Title contenders. The match started with Christian and Cody Rhodes, and after their match last night, Rhodes was looking to get some revenge. However, in the end, it came down to Dolph Ziggler and R-Truth, and Ziggler finished him off with the ZigZag to take the victory for Rhodes and himself. After the match, Ziggler and Rhodes celebrated, but then they began to argue about who deserves the United States Championship more. Christian grabs his title and leaves with R-Truth. Christian even gives us a smile, humoured by Ziggler and Rhodes arguing. Ziggler storms off but Rhodes bends him backwards and drills him with the Cross-Rhodes. The crowd are shocked as Rhodes stands above Ziggler in anger. Christian looks at Rhodes, no longer smiling. Christian tells Rhodes to bring it on and Rhodes simply snarls at him. We then fade backstage. |
- We see Bret Hart on the phone to someone with a big smile on his face. He says "Thanks a lot" and puts the phone down. We see Natalya walk onto the scene and ask who that was. Hart says it was someone who has just made his day much better. He then says "Whoever Vince has signed to be the General Manager of Raw is going to be in for a shock". Natalya smiles and we then go further backstage.
- We see Josh Mathews alongside Ezekiel Jackson and William Regal. Mathews asks Jackson how it feels to be in the Main Event of Raw with a chance to challenge for the WWE Championship at Fatal 4 Way. Jackson tells Mathews that it was always going to come, the Book of Ezekiel states it. He quotes "Thus Ezekiel is unto you a sign: according to all that he hath done shall ye do: and when this cometh, ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD." Jackson walks off but Regal remains. Regal says that Ezekiel Jackson is the future, and he will become the WWE Champion very soon. Regal then walks off and we fade to a commercial break.
- We return to see the new WWE Champion, Batista make his entrance to a ton of heat. He comes out wearing casual jeans, a black vest top and his sunglasses, enters the ring and speaks to the WWE Universe. Firstly, he demands the spotlight, and it is switched on, focusing everything on him. Batista states that last night, he would have won the WWE Championship with or without interference. He claims it was his night, and his chance to prove to the world that he is the best that the WWE has to offer. He says that at Fatal 4 Way, no matter who he has to face, he will be walking out with the gold. He then leaves ringside and takes a seat beside Jerry Lawler at the commentators desk. They're obviously not too keen to be sitting with him, but they have no choice. The Main Event then begins.
WWE Fatal 4 Way Qualifying Match - John Cena def. Ezekiel Jackson w/ William Regal | John Cena was still hurting from the masked attack earlier on, not to mention on top of that from last night. These two masked men are really out to get Cena. The match begins and they lock up, Jackson instantly dominates. He takes Cena to the level and knowing that Cena's back is hurt, locks in a bearhug, causing Cena to scream in pain. The crowd chant for Cena and he uses that to get out of the hold and come back, taking it to Jackson. He does his signature shoulder block, but Jackson won't go down. He does it again, but the same reaction. He does it a third time to take Jackson off of his feet. He then hits him with the Five-Knuckle Shuffle. Cena then signals for the end and awaits for Jackson to get to his feet. Suddenly, Batista takes his headset off and jumps on the ring apron. Cena sees him and walks up to him. The two trade some trash talk and it looks like Cena is in for it as Jackson gets to his feet. Jackson runs at Cena, but he moves and he clotheslines Batista from the apron. Jackson then turns around, gets lifted up and then slammed back down with the Attitude Adjustment, giving Cena the victory to everyone's excitement. John Cena celebrates, overcoming the pain and winning this match to advance to WWE Fatal 4 Way. Ezekiel Jackson leaves ringside with William Regal, but he has definitely proved that he is a definite Main Event player on Raw. |
- John Cena points at Batista who grabs his WWE Championship in anger. We then hear the theme of Mr. McMahon who comes onto the stage and says he is about to announce the new General Manager. But, before he can say it, Bret Hart appears on the titantron and stops him. McMahon asks him what he wants, and Bret says that he has some unfortunate news for whoever McMahon chose to be General Manager. He says that he just got off the phone with the Board of Directors, and they say that a General Manager must be chosen by both of us, and therefore, you cannot employ who you had in mind without my consent. McMahon gets mad and says that Bret Hart needs to keep his nose out. Bret reminds McMahon that he owns the company too, and therefore, there will be no General Manager this week on Raw. McMahon stomps around in anger, while in the ring, the masked men return and jump Cena. They take him to the ground with clubbing blows as Batista stands and watches, laughing. Bret Hart doesn't know what to do, we see his face helpless on the titantron as Mr. McMahon smiles. Raw fades to a close as the two masked men and the WWE Champion, Batista stand tall over John Cena inside the ring.

WRESTLING OBSERVER NEWS May 25th, 2010 - According to many sources, we can report that Mickie James has handed her notice in to the WWE. Apparently, she wishes to focus on her singing career and needs time away from the ring. It should be noted, she has been used rarely on SmackDown and when she was, she was usually insulted by Michelle McCool and Layla about her weight. Expect an official announcement on Mickie James' release very soon.
- April Lee (aka. AJ Lee in FCW) received a name to her face this Monday on Raw when Maryse introduced her. Current plans have her teaming with Maryse so she can get over in the diva division. This could go on for quite some time, but with the WWE seriously needing to work on the divas, expect her to branch off sometime at the end of the year.
- A largely asked question recently is where are Paul and Katie Lea Burchill. It should be noted that neither of them were released from the company, they simply just disappeared when ECW was cut. We can confirm that both are still contracted to the company and there are plans to bring the duo back to the Raw brand in the near future. During this hiatus, Paul Burchill has been wrestling in England, working on his in-ring skills. Katie Lea Burchill has apparently been working on her in-ring ability as well. Expect them to return soon.
- As well as Mickie James, there are talks of a few releases coming soon. Amongst those names are Mike Knox and Alicia Fox. There are also reports of the WWE sending The Dudebusters back to FCW as keeping them on SmackDown is hurting their image. This could mean bad things for Curt Hawkins who could also be let go.
- For those wondering who the masked characters are on Raw, it is actually unknown. Only those within the company know their identities. We reported not long ago that the WWE had quietly signed two former WWE superstars back to contracts, but they were never revealed. There are plans for this Masked Men/John Cena feud to go through to SummerSlam. Many are speculating if this could lead towards a John Cena/Mr. McMahon feud which has been a rumoured topic regarding the WWE.

RAW245:Great openinh segment with the masked men once again attacking Cena, I could see Cena and Sheamus winning thier quailifiers. Now I would've wanted Morrison over but as long as he gets on PPV Sheamus winning is fine with me. Hardy is really getting out of hand. I wonder who Miz's partner will be. Danielson vs. Miz sounds good. Not surprised Bryan won that match, good decision to elavate him. Nice segement to further the Tista/Cena fued just that little bit more. April Lee is better than AJ Lee. Great win for Maryse and her protege. Nice to see Orton and Mysterio in a little respectful conversation. Orton winning is not surprising but Rey needs something to do do. Sounds like a decent tag team match. KOTR! can't wait. Heels going over was the right decision but wow, Cross Rhodes to Ziggler. Rhodes vs. Christian the re-match. I wonder what'll happen with the GM tonight. Glad Cena won, nice choice, the WWE Title Match looks solid. Love Bret justing owning McMahon. For the third time the masked men attack Cena, we need some revealing i'm getting impatient. Great show.

Over the Limit:
- Straight Edge Society getting a promo is nice. Glad Punk won the opener. - Christian retaining against Rhodes is fine. But I hope Rhodes gets it sometime. - I never was a fan of ShoMiz, so I am glad to see The Hart Dynasty take the titles. - Swagger and DiBiase should be over with now. Fine with either one of them winning this one. - Good to see Natalya win the title along with Kidd and Smith winning the Unified Titles. - Triple H and Sheamus going to a double count out is fine. Expecting the feud to continue. - I think this should of been the main event, but fine. Jericho winning is good as it continues the feud. - Lastly, Batista winning the WWE Championship I am glad to see happen. It'll be good for him. The masked men is intriguing.
Good Pay-Per-View.
Raw:
- Good opening promo from Cena/McMahon. Masked men attacking again is nice. - Expected win in a qualifying match for Sheamus, as HHH is injured. - Danielson beating Miz is good since Miz won on the NXT Finale. - Lee and Maryse winning I am fine with happening. - Orton winning and advancing is predicted here, good match. - Rhodes and Ziggler beating Christian and Truth is good, keeps Rhodes in contention. - Cena beating Jackson is good, Jackson can be a champion in the future. - Bret stopping Vince is good, and the masked men attacking again is damn!
Good Raw.

-Good opener. The masked man attacking Cena is good. -Glad Sheamus beat Morrison. -Danielson beating Miz is awesome! Hope to see a Fatal Four Way Unified Tag Team Title Match at FFW. -April Lee coming to WWE is great. Happy she won. -Orton beating. Mysterio was the right call. -Ziggler and Rhodes winning is fine. It'd be cool either way. -Happy that John Cena won against Jackson. Really hoping Cena overcomes the masked man to win the title. Jackson coming close is a bummer for him but it's great for the entertainment.
-Good RAW.

I'm going to reply to your most recent show as well, it's just that atm, I'm trying to give all my replies and write up a new RAW for my diary, so just an Over the Limit reply for now. Sorry lol.
First up, great opening promo with Punk, really captured his essence, and the banning of the SES from ringside is a great way to start things off. Good opening match with a nice little finish, good start. Show turning on Miz to throw hte titles to the hart dynasty worked well. loved the dibiase/orton segment. good way for swagger to go over, i see dibiase taking a cheap win in return later lol. divas title for natalya is win. sheamus/hunter was solid, main events were great, jericho/edge was my favorite match. the finish to the triple threat wasok, but you'll have to build on it.
really well written show dude.

WWE RAW: Monday 24th May 2010...You thought I was working around your diary eh? Hahaha. Kane beating Mike Knox was very predictable; personally not a fan of Mike Knox anymore and his continuous inclusion in the company especially on WWE Superstars baffles me. He should be released by the end of 2010. Chavo Guerrero beating Evan Bourne is something I like, definitely. Bourne is good; but Chavo needs a final pushing here whilst he can still compete. John Cena and Batista had an amazing promo, the brawl with John Cena and the two masked men furthers the mystery as to whom they are and why they are associated with Batista and Vince McMahon. Jerry Lawler jumping in? Wow. Decent opening contest, and Sheamus beating John Morrison is alright I do suppose. Fatal 4-Way is nearing, and to be honest, all I can see is basically a rehash of Randy Orton, Batista and John Cena from Over the Limit, with Sheamus added. Hopefully SmackDown's fatal four-way match main events Fatal 4-Way instead. Morrison and Matt Hardy's feud continues, getting interesting. I could see a match upcoming at the pay-per-view. Bryan Danielson beating The Miz; ha! Good idea, very nice bout but really would have liked to see Danielson win with Hart Dynasty's inclusion, as The Miz's credibility is still hurt. Great build for Bryan though. Wow, this is how you debut a diva; with Maryse on your side. April Lee is definitely a better name for a female competitor; and fine win for Maryse and April Lee against Gail Kim and Kelly Kelly. Wondering where it goes from here. Solid first-hour main event with Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio; no shock that Orton won, as to be honest these qualifying matches for Fatal 4-Way are too predictable with the already occuring feuds going on. Looking forward to your King of the Ring. Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes defeating Christian and R-Truth isn't bad; the feud between Christian and Cody Rhodes regarding the WWE United States Championship is definitely not over. Rhodes deserves to win the belt, but can't see it happening this early in Christian's reign. Dolph Ziggler could use a good push as well. Saw John Cena beating Ezekiel Jackson in the main event; Batista's pre-match promo was nice. The post-match occurences were good, but with Bret Hart and McMahon's further arguing, the third attack on Cena by the masked men was truly unnecessary. A good and packed card tonight.

-The opening segment was well done, really intrigued as to who the masked men are -Sheamus over Morrison was the right call and I'm loving the Matt Hardy/Morrison stuff -Miz getting a rematch with a new partner next week should be good -Danielson over Miz...loved it, glad Miz tapped out as well -Figured Maryse and April Lee would win and glad you had Lee show off an excellent Shining Wizard -Orton over Rey Mysterio was pretty obvious to me as the former Champion needs to be involved -Like Rhodes & Ziggler getting the win, then arguing about who deserves the title shot more. Push both men please -Jackson's promo sounded great -Glad Ezekiel looked good in the main event, but Cena winning was the right move. Not sure that a third attack by the masked men was needed
Great Raw as usual, the two announced matches for Fatal Four Way should be good

I like John Cena kicking off the show with an in ring promo as that just seems to make sense. I really hope Cena does not regain the belt at Fatal Four Way; however, that would work out interestingly to continue his feud with McMahon. I am truly intrigued to see who the mystery attackers are. I would think Patterson and Briscoe, but they would not be able to quickly escape after an attack. Sheamus defeating John Morrison was the right call. Sheamus should be in the picture scene, although I would enjoy a Morrison feud down the road. I really hope the Miz’s feud with the Hart leads to something special. Danielson defeating the Miz makes a lot of sense as the Miz needs to be on this ‘losing streak’ for his feud with the Harts to work out perfectly. I like Batista finding Cena just to remind him he will not defeat him at the PPV; I always find those segments enjoyably awkward. Thank god Randy Orton defeated Rey Mysterio. I find Rey so overrated and he should be as far away from the main event scene as possible. The tag match was a fun way to get in all the contenders for the US title, but I am really eager to see where you take the Rhodes-Christian feud as that seems to be working out well. John Cena defeating Zeke was the right call, although it would have been pretty awesome to see Zeke pick up the win. I am kind of bummed to see the announcement of the General Manager get blocked by Bret Hart and I really feel that would have went over very poorly with the audience. The masked men attacking Cena again is fine. It would be a hell of a swerve if the masked men turned out to be the Harts and McMahon formed an unholy alliance with the Hart Family – now that would be amazing. I wonder what you will be doing with the Burchill family upon their return. Hawkins being released is a shame as he did have potential to be decent if paired back up with the Dudebusters. James and Fox getting released is no big deal as I do not follow the divas anyway.

MAY 28TH, 2010 - CLEVELAND, OHIO
Drew McIntyre def. Goldust w/ Hornswoggle
Ted DiBiase w/ Brett DiBiase def. Zack Ryder w/ Rosa Mendes Brett accompanied his brother in casual clothing, it seems he could be joining the main roster.
"Yes, sir, we promised you a great Main Event..."
- Before we kick things off, we see a quick recap of the SmackDown side of things from WWE Over the Limit. We see CM Punk defeating MVP, Jack Swagger defeating Ted DiBiase, and finally, Chris Jericho defeating Edge to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. The package ends with a shot of Chris Jericho smirking down the ramp at Edge, grasping his World Title. We then go to SmackDown.
- A display of pyrotechnics opens the show as the team of Todd Grisham and Matt Striker welcome us to Friday Night SmackDown, here in Cleveland, Ohio. They remind us what a fantastic night WE Over the Limit was, and tell us that the focus is now on the WWE Fatal 4 Way event. They tells us that tonight, three Qualifying matches will take place, and they will be Edge versus Shelton Benjamin, Jack Swagger versus Jeff Hardy and CM Punk versus the Big Show. Speak of the devil, the theme of the Big Show hits and he comes out to quite the reaction, to be honest. It seems his betrayal of The Miz has gained him some respect from the WWE Universe. He comes out looking happier than usual and enters the ring before speaking to the WWE Universe.
- Before he begins, he tells us that he wants to remind us what happened at Over the Limit this past Sunday. The titantron shows the clip of the Big Show drilling The Miz with the Knockout Punch, and then been hit with the Hart Attack as The Hart Dynasty take the Unified Tag Team Championships. We cut back to the Big Show who is chuckling to himself. He says that he may have been on the losing team that night, but he was glad that he finally got rid of The Miz. He says that he had to put a show on, claiming that The Miz was better than Chris Jericho, blah, blah, blah, but he tells us that The Miz was worthless and relied entirely on his back-up. The crowd laugh with Show. Show says that he feels energetic and ready to compete now he is a one-man wrecking machine once again. He says that tonight, he has a massive chance to get into the World Heavyweight Championship match at Fatal 4 Way, and he tells us that he plans on getting in. However, he is interrupted by CM Punk who gets a lot of heat. He comes out alongside Luke Gallows and Serena, and all three stand on the stage. Punk says that this past Sunday, he defeated the WWE Universe's beloved MVP, and tonight, he is going to take out the giant. Big Show laughs and says that it'll take more than Straight Edge to beat him. Punk tells Show to watch his mouth because one day he too will be forced to submit to the Straight Edge Society. Big Show tells him that it isn't going to happen, and then tells him he will see him in the ring tonight. Show's theme hits and we fade to a promo package.
- We see a package advertising the June 7th edition of Monday Night Raw as the night of the King of the Ring Tournament! It will be a 3-hour spectacular featuring both Raw and SmackDown superstars, battling to become King of the Ring. We then cut to a commercial break.
WW Fatal 4 Way Qualifying Match - Jeff Hardy def. Jack Swagger | Jeff Hardy seemed to be on a bit of a downer last week, and nothing has changed this week. Everyone thought Jack Swagger was going to take advantage of Hardy's recent depression, but the All-American American still couldn't keep Hardy down. He battled his way through Swagger, despite Swagger having some serious momentum after defeating Ted DiBiase at Over the Limit. Swagger was acting cocky, fresh off his PPV win, but Hardy, being the veteran he is, used this to his advantage, striking at the right time. He planted Swagger with an Inverted Twist of Fate, then ascending the top turnbuckle and nailing him with the Swanton Bomb, taking the victory. Afterwards, Jeff Hardy celebrated for a couple of minutes, but his depression suddenly returned as he began scratching his head, looking extremely worried. He then left ringside as we fade backstage. |
- Theodore Long is in his office, speaking with a random backstage worker. Suddenly, the Intercontinental Champion, Drew McIntyre walks onto the scene looking extremely angry and to a lot of heat. Long asks him what's wrong and McIntyre says "What's wrong? What's wrong?! Why wasn't I given a Qualifying match for Fatal 4 Way? Explain that, Teddy!" Long looks confused and tells McIntyre that he is the Intercontinental Champion, and doesn't need the chance. McIntyre says that Intercontinental Champion or not, he is the best that SmackDown has to offer, and should have a chance to qualify. Long is about to explain to McIntyre, but in walks Mr. Money in the Bank, Kofi Kingston to a huge pop. Kingston smiles his signature smile and lifts his briefcase up to McIntyre's face, telling him he doesn't need a Qualifying match, because he has his World Championship match right here. McIntyre gets frustrated and reminds Kofi of the challenge he laid out last week, saying that he wants the briefcase. Kingston then reminds McIntyre that he said no to that offer. Long tells both men to back off a little bit. Long then says he has an idea, and sets up another Fatal 4 Way match for the Pay Per View. He tells us that it will be Drew McIntyre, Jack Swagger, Ted DiBiase and Kofi Kingston... for the Intercontinental Championship! The crowd erupt as mcIntyre is furious, exclaiming that he wants the briefcase, not to defend his title. Long says what's done is done and walks off. Kingston smirks and walks off too as mcIntyre looks on in anger. We then cut back to ringside.
MVP & Tiffany def. Luke Gallows & Serena | MVP was unlucky at Over the Limit, losing to CM Punk, but tonight, he teams with Tiffany to take on CM Punk's disciples, Luke Gallows and Serena, in what is Serena's first ever WWE match. The match kicks off with MVP and Gallows, battling it out, MVP looking for some payback on Punk, even if it isn't through him personally. The divas eventually get involved and they stay legal through to the end of the match. Tiffany gains control and Luke Gallows enters the ring, but MVP takes him out and Tiffany hits Serena with a Diving Crossbody for the victory. MVP and Tiffany celebrate as Luke Gallows and Serena leave in anger. MVP shouts that he is coming for the Straight Edge Society and he isn't done yet. He hugs Tiffany as SmackDown fades to a commercial break. |
- We return to see a promo package for WWE Fatal 4 Way, airing on the 20th of June, 2010. We then return to SmackDown.
- We are shown Edge backstage alongside Josh Mathews to a pop. Mathews asks Edge if he is through with Chris Jericho yet. Edge chuckles and says of course he isn't and until he has taken Chris Jericho's World Title, he won't be. Edge says that Jericho humiliated him for months and made him out to be fragile and weak, well he wants to prove him wrong. Edge tells us that he knows the WWE Universe believe in him, and for them and himself, he will put an end to Chris Jericho's tirade and show everyone exactly why he is better than Chris Jericho. Edge walks off as we fade to ringside.
WWE Fatal 4 Way Qualifying Match - Edge def. Shelton Benjamin | Shelton Benjamin has completely turned his back on the WWE Universe, not acknowledging them at all, behaving as a fully turned heel. Edge soon put that to rest as he and Benjamin battled it out for a spot in the World Heavyweight Championship match. Everyone expected Edge to win, but Benjamin put up a hell of a fight and confirmed that he can go with the big guys and has a very bright future. But, all that matters is the one-two-three, and Edge got that when he drilled Benjamin with the Spear after Benjamin missed a Superkick. Edge celebrated his victory and motioned for the World Title. We then cut backstage. |
- Cryme Tyme are backstage to a pop. Shad speaks to JTG, telling him that he doesn't think they can go on like this much longer. He says that they haven't won a tag team match in ages, and JTG got a victory over Trent Barreta on WWE Superstars last week, so maybe going separate ways would help them. JTG tells Shad not to think like that and that they will get there eventually. Shad says that eventually isn't soon enough, and he's getting tired of waiting. JTG tells him to calm down and says that he has heard that there is a possible Fatal 4 Way Unified Tag Team Championships match at the Pay Per View. He says that it could be their chance. Shad rubs his chin and says he likes the sound of it, and then says "This may be our chance... it's our LAST chance, J. If we get in it and we lose, then Cryme Tyme is over, you hear me?" JTG reluctantly nods his head and the duo walk off as we cut to a commercial break.
Womens Championship Match - Beth Phoenix [C] def. Michelle McCool w/ Layla | Last week, Michelle McCool won a Fatal Four Way match to become the #1 Contender for Beth Phoenix's Womens Title. Tonight, she got her shot, but unfortunately for her, Melina didn't want her to win. Nearing the end of the match, Michelle McCool distracted the referee which allowed Layla to choke Phoenix on the middle rope from the outside. Melina didn't like this and rushed to ringside to aid her friend, taking Layla out. McCool saw Melina and shouted at her through the ropes. Melina shouted at McCol, telling her not to cheat, smiling. Beth Phoenix took advantage, lifted McCool up in the chickenwing position and then dropped her with the GlamSlam, picking up the victory. Beth Phoenix celebrated, raising her Womens Championship high as Melina entered the ring and celebrated with her. McCool and Layla left ringside distraught as McCool held her face. We then cut to a promo package. |
- We see a 'Don't Try This' package featuring SmackDown superstar, MVP. We then return to SmackDown.
Wade Barrett w/ Chris Jericho def. Jimmy Wang Yang | A very quick match to get the WWE NXT Winner, Wade Barrett over. Barrett destroyed Jimmy Wang Yang, finishing him off with the Fireman's Carry Slam. Barrett celebrated his victory as the World Heavyweight Champion, Chris Jericho clapped him from the outside. Jericho and Barrett then take a seat by ringside, next to Matt Striker, ready for tonight's Main Event. We then cut backstage. |
- CM Punk is backstage with Luke Gallows and Serena. He begins to shout at them, saying they have upset him tonight by losing to MVP and Tiffany. He says they will be forgiven for their sins, but tells them not to make this mistake again. Punk says that he chose them as disciples because he felt they could help him spread the legacy of the Straight Edge Society, and he still believes they can do that, but they cannot let people like MVP and Tiffany stand in their way. CM Punk says he needs to defeat the Big Show tonight and get into the World Heavyweight Championship match at Fatal 4 Way. He tells them he wants them at ringside to watch his back while he takes on the goliath best, the Big Show. They leave and we cut to a commercial break.
- We return to see Chris Jericho and Wade Barrett all set by ringside as we hear the theme of the Big Show to a pop.
WWE Fatal 4 Way Qualifying Match - Big Show def. CM Punk w/ The Straight Edge Society | CM Punk looked unsure of what to do against the Big Show, having never faced him before. He went in with some kicks, but Show threw him backwards, keeping him at bay. Punk retreated to the corner where he discussed with his disciples, Luke Gallows and Serena. He got back into the match and took a different approach, trying to cut Big Show down at the legs, and it seemed to work. Punk chopped Show down to his knees and then delivered some hard kicks to the skull, knocking him down. Punk went for a cover, but only got a two when Show launched him up and out of the ring. Luke Gallows and Serena rushed to his side to see if he was okay. He gets up and tels them he is fine. Show reaches over the ropes and lifts Punk up by his hair, onto the apron, before throwing him back into the ring. The match went on for a while longer, Chris Jericho on commentary, slating the Big Show at any possible point, and mentioning Edge and Jeff Hardy a few times. Show was ready to finish the match and went for the Knockout Punch, but Punk ducked and followed it up with a huge superkick, staggering Show. Punk then attempted to lift Show onto his shoulders for the GTS, and he did, but he eventually dropped him due to the weight. Suddenly, MVP rushes to ringside and attacks Luke Gallows for no apparent reason, and the crowd love it. CM Punk notices and shouts at him, telling him to get his hands off. Big SHow gets up, spins Punk around and drills him with the Knockout Punch for the victory. Big Show celebrates as MVP backs up the ramp with a smile on his face. Show points to Jericho telling him he is coming for the World Title. Jericho gets up from his chair and stands in front of the announce desk, trash talking Show. |
- Suddenly, we see Edge jump over the barricade in casual clothing and Spear Jericho to the floor. The crowd go wild as Edge stands above Jericho with his usual deranged face after a Spear. Wade Barrett tries to fight Edge off, but he manages to roll him in the ring. Big Show grabs hold of him and Chokeslams Barrett to the canvas. SmackDown then fades to a close as Edge and Big Show stare-off.

WRESTLING OBSERVER NEWS May 29th, 2010 - As seen on SmackDown, the Big Show appears to be a fan favourite once more since turning on The Miz at WWE Over the Limit. It is expected that Big Show and The Miz will not have a feud as the story has been cut. The Miz is currently set for a feud with the Unified Tag Team Champions, The Hart Dynasty with a brand new partner, but it is unknown at this time as to who it will be.
- Two more matches have been added to the WWE Fatal 4 Way card. Those are the World Heavyweight Championship and the Intercontinental Championship matches, both of which are Fatal Four Way matches. It is rumoured that the Pay Per View will feature more than just these. The most recent gimmick events have only seen the Main Events take part in the gimmicks, but Fatal 4 Way will apparently feature multiple Fatal 4 Way matches, with a few singles matches along the way.
- According to an inside source, the debut of Rob Van Dam has been delayed even further. Apparently, the plans they originally had for him have been scrapped and new ideas have been put forward. These ideas are said to revolve around the SummerSlam time period, so expect his debut then. However, as we've experienced, WWE plans can change whenever.

WWE SmackDown: Friday 28th May 2010...Drew McIntyre beating Goldust is fine, not that bad a match for WWE Superstars. Ted Dibiase beating Zack Ryder is also fine, strange as to why Ted was here on the SmackDown side of things, though. Zack Ryder will hopefully get a second breath in the company. He needs refreshening, and to be honest Rosa Mendes doesn't help out with that. Decent promo to start things off on the show, too, with Big Show coming out to the ring. I like his referring to The Miz and Chris Jericho, and I am intrigued where his push will go next. Wow, involvement from CM Punk and the Straight Edge Society is nice and I look forward if we end up seeing a Punk and Show feud. That would be very entertaining to see, and different yet somewhat hard to pull off. Sets up for the fatal four-way match at Fatal 4 Way anyways. Great opening contest with Jeff Hardy qualifying into Fatal 4 Way's World Heavyweight Championship match, though I do wish that Jack Swagger would finally pull the main event scene. Hardy looking depressed? Interesting. You could end up with a great storyline here; Jeff against The Undertaker? Drew McIntyre in Theodore Long's office was good; interested in the WWE Intercontinental Championship fatal four-way match idea, but really I do hope we see some non multi-man matches on June 20th; we don't want to run his situation too dry. MVP and Tiffany beating Luke Gallows and Serena is fine: I am hoping we see Serena in divas action more often. She is good as CM Punk's valet in the Straight Edge Society; but she needs showcasing. Edge beating Shelton Benjamin was a solid first-hour main event and expected, Edge in the fatal four-way is good and I look forward to Fatal 4-Way now. Shad Gaspard and JTG possibly disbanding? Hmm. Do not go for heel Shad as to be honest, he is as atrocious as JTG is. Also, a fatal four-way WWE Unified Tag Team Championships match? Hmm, another four-way. It's getting overkilled now. When Hell in a Cell was a pay-per-view, it didn't rely on the full card having Hell in a Cell matches. Beth Phoenix defeating Michelle McCool was great; these two have had splendid WWE Womens Championship matches over the last spring. Wade Barrett getting past Jimmy Wang Yang was epected; Barrett continues to be put over. But does Chris Jericho really need to manage him all the time? Barrett needs to get over by himself now, if you ask me. I see MVP and CM Punk's feud continuing, I suppose; could be good. Lastly, surprising to see Big Show beat CM Punk, but expected now I think about it. A good show as a whole, some things I'm uncertain about, though.

-Brett Dibiase joining the main roster should be good -Decent opening promo, hoping Punk wins the main event via DQ or something -Hardy/Swagger was a great opener, glad Hardy won and I'm still interested in his depression -I really like the Fatal Four Way match for the Intercontinental Title, looks great -Wish Serena would've won in her first ever WWE match, but Tiffany & MVP winning is fine -Benjamin/Edge is another very solid match, obvious that Edge would win though -Cryme Tyme breaking up is fine with me -Beth retaining was good, if we see a McCool/Melina feud, I wonder where that leaves Beth -Barrett over Yang was an obvious squash and the right move -Love Punk's backstage talk, speaking about forgiving Gallows & Serena for their sins makes him sound godly -Sad that Show won, but I understand, though Hardy/Edge/Jericho/Punk could have been spectacular
Very good Smackdown, Fatal Four Way is shaping up great. I see Jericho retaining, but dropping the belt to Edge at the following PPV
