- Could've sworn I had replied to this after I read it, guess not. - Good opening promo by Jericho/Barrett and Teddy Long. - Really surprised to see Barrett defeat Edge, but, Y2J causing the distraction is good for it. - Woo Woo Woo That's Cool™ getting a promo is good, and then beating locals bumps then a little. - Good backstage segment between Swagger and Kofi, like Kingston giving him something to think about. - Ted defeating McIntyre I am fine with, as either way would've been fine. - Punk's promo was good, and Gallows defeating MVP by blinding him is good. - McCool getting the win over Tiffany is definitely and easily the right call here. - Lastly, great main event to have and Jericho going over Hardy was expected and the post match stuff was good.
Very good Smackdown.

June 20th, 2010 - Uniondale, New York; Four Possiblities - One Champion
Dark Match: Non-Title - Christian def. Evan Bourne Christian takes the victory after hitting Bourne with the Killswitch. Afterwards, both men shook hands and pumped the crowd for the rest of the night.
- Before the night kicks off, we see a quick package highlighting the recent happening on WWE programming. It first mentions the rules of a Fatal 4 Way match, telling us that they are No Disqualifications, No Countouts and the Champion does not need to be pinned to lose his title. It finished with a shot of Batista holding his WWE Championship high one night on Raw. We then cut to the opning package.
'Showstopper' by TobyMac
- The pyrotechnics explode from the unique stage as the WWE Universe go wild. The WWE HD panel slides onto our screens as we are welcomed to the event by Michael Cole, Jerry 'The King' Lawler and Matt Striker. They seem excited for this brand new Pay Per View to get underway. They run down the matches we will be seeing tonight, the main focuses being the WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championship Fatal 4 Way matches. We then hear the voice of Tony Chimel as he introduces the opening contest as the first of three Fatal 4 Way matches, this one being for the Intercontinental Championship.
Intercontinental Championship - Drew McIntyre [C] vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Jack Swagger vs. Ted DiBiase | [Match Graphic] What a way to kick off a brand new Pay Per View! The Intercontinental Championship has caused lots of friction between these four superstars. However, both Kofi Kingston and Jack Swagger have guaranteed World Championship matches at some point this year, so winning this could mean they hold multiple titles in the future. An alliance is quickly formed between Champion, Drew McIntyre and Jack Swagger as they beat down Ted DiBiase and Kofi Kingston. McIntyre throws DiBiase out of the ring and he and Swagger double team Kingston. We see McIntyre slowly back away, leaving Swagger to stomp down on Kingston, but he moves in and rolls Swagger up, looking for a quick victory, but Swagger kicks out. He shouts at McIntyre, asking what he was doing before slapping him across the face. Before anything can blow up, Kingston and DiBiase spin both men around and begin delivering right hands to them. The action is all over the place, going in all four men's favour at some point. Jack Swagger takes out Ted DiBiase with a Gutwrench Powerbomb and covers him, but Kingston pulls him off and drills him with the Trouble In Paradise. McIntyre spins Kingston around and drops him with the Future Shock DDT. It looks as if he's got it won, but DiBiase gets back to his feet and locks in the Million Dollar Dream, looking for Dream Street, but McIntyre spins out and rolls DiBiase up in a small package for the victory. | Drew McIntyre retains the Intercontinental Championship with a Small Package |
- Drew McIntyre grabs his Intercontinental Championship and leaves as DiBiase holds his head in disbelief. Kingston comes around and shakes his head in disappointment. Jack Swagger leaves the ring with a similar look on his face as McIntyre raises his Championship on the stage. He screams "That's why I'm The Chosen One!". We then cut backstage.
- The Hart Dynasty are backstage, preparing for their matches. Tyson Kidd wishes Natalya luck in her Divas Championship defence later on, and she does the same to Kidd and Smith for their Unified Tag Team Championship defence. We then see Bret Hart walk onto the scene to a massive pop. They all go up to him and pat him on the back and he says that tonight is about them, about both the Unified Tag Team Championships and the Divas Championship remaining in the Hart family. He says that tonight, he knows all three of them have what it takes to keep their belts, so he wishes them all luck and says he has work to do so he must go. He leaves and we fade to a promo package.
- We see a promo package for WWE The Bash, airing on the 18th of July, 2010. We then return to WWE Fatal 4 Way.
Matt Hardy vs. John Morrison | [Match Graphic] This is a confusing feud. Matt Hardy, for no apparent reason has some sort of hatred towards John Morrison, although this hatred seemingly comes from the bad blood between him and his brother, Jeff. Matt Hardy's mindset isn't exactly stable as of late, screaming during his matches that he is better than Jeff. Morrison is a good friend of Jeff Hardy and didn't take too kindly to Matt's remarks, and therefore, this feud began. The match kicked off, going back and forth between competitors. Hardy was literally swinging for anything in his path, hoping to catch Morrison. He had completely lost it and tackled Morrison to the canvas, beating him with rights and lefts. The referee was forced to pull Matt away. Morrison used this opening to take Hardy down with a dropkick and then keep him down with stomps. He tried his best to avoid Hardy's madman-like shots and took him down with a huge Springboard Chuck Kick. Morrison was then about to hit Starship Pain, but Hardy got up and hung Morrison in the tree of woe position. Hardy smiled sadistically, obviously planning something. He backed up into the opposite corner and then charged at Morrison. He slid and was about to dropkick the face of Morrison, but Morrison sat up and Hardy slid right into the steel post as the crowd gasped. Hardy's face told the story of where he was hurt as he crawled out of the corner in pain. Morrison dropped off the turnbuckle and DDTed Hardy in the right position before drilling him with the Starship Pain for the victory. | John Morrison def. Matt Hardy after the Starship Pain |
- Morrison celebrated his victory, the WWE Universe behind him completely. Hardy sat up and starting pulling his hair, screaming "No!". Morrison left, unsure whether to stick around or not. Hardy stood up in anger and slapped away the referee when he offered to help. We then fade backstage.
- Josh Mathews is backstage, alongside a WWE medic. He asks the medic on the condition of SmackDown superstar, MVP, and if he will be able to compete tonight. The medic tells us that MVP's sight is impaired and he is still in a considerable amount of pain. He says that MVP is here tonight and he does say that he wants to compete, but whether to let him or not is unknown. Mathews thanks the medic and says he will update the WWE Universe with any information he finds. We then cut back to the arena.
Unified Tag Team Championships - The Hart Dynasty [C] vs. The Dudebusters | [Match Graphic] Both of these teams a fresh and new to the WWE in a way. The Hart Dynasty won their Unified Tag Team Championships at WWE Over the Limit when they beat ShoMiz in an Open Challenge. The Dudebusters recently made their presence felt by defeating the now defunct Cryme Tyme to become the #1 Contenders for the belts, and during the time between then and now, have made enough of an impact to make a statement to the WWE Universe and The Hart Dynasty that they are worthy contenders. Both Caylen Croft and Trent Barreta have defeats Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith in singles competition, but can they win when it comes to Tag Team competition? The match is looking very good during the beginning, both teams showing their unique wrestling styles and athleticism. At one point, it looked like The Dudebusters had it, hitting Tyson Kidd with their signature move and covering him, but Smith was there to break up the pinfall. In the end, Smith took Croft out of the match by launching him over the ropes with a gorilla press slam and then they took the opportunity to take out Trent Barreta with the Hart Attack, allowing Kidd to cover him and take the victory. | The Hart Dynasty retain the Unified Tag Team Championships after the Hart Attack |
- The Hart Dynasty celebrated their victory as Trent Barreta limply rolled out of the ring. He and Croft regrouped on the outside in disappointment, but they put on a very good showing, and are no doubt still in contention for the belts. We then fade to a promo package.
- We see a 'Don't Try This' package featuring multiple WWE superstars. We then return to the event.
- We are shown the WWE Champion, Batista walking down a corridor to a large amount of heat. He reaches what appears to be the office of Mr. McMahon. He is about to enter but stops and looks off-screen. He says "What do you want?", and the camera pans around to show John Cena to a gigantic pop. Cena asks Batista what he's doing entering Mr. McMahon's office. Batista tells him it's got nothing to do with him, and tells him to get lost. Cena says "Dave, I know you know who the guys who attacked me are, how about you tell me?" Batista says that he doesn't have a clue and he has nothing to do with it. He says he just does what it takes to keep the WWE Championship, but he knows nothing of who the attackers are. He makes a joke, saying "John, I'm actually quite annoyed with it all... they don't leave any for me to destroy!" Cena doesn't flinch and simply leaves as Batista chuckles. He enters McMahon's office and we return to ringside.
Divas Championship - Natalya [C] vs. Maryse w/ April Lee | [Match Graphic] Natalya took the Divas Championship from Maryse last month at WWE Over the Limit when her Uncle, Bret Hart made the match with less than two minutes notice, Maryse wasn't even ready. Natalya became the Champion by making Maryse tap out to the Sharpshooter. This month, the match was one of the first scheduled giving both divas plenty of preparation time. Maryse was looking to regain the Championship instantly, taking Natalya down and going for quick covers in hopes of an upset victory. Natalya battled back, taking the fight to Maryse. Eventually, she gets her down for long enough to lock in the Sharpshooter. Maryse doesn't tap out and tries to hold on, but she just can't. She appears to shout at April Lee, telling her to do something. Lee grabs the Divas Championship and enters the ring, smacking Natalya around the head, knocking her out. The referee is forced to ring the bell. | Natalya retains the Divas Championship via Disqualification |
- The crowd were unsure why Lee did that as it means Natalya retains the Divas Championship. It seems it was simply to make an impact. Maryse grabs the Divas Championship and stares at it before dropping it onto Natalya's body. Maryse and April Lee leave as we fade backstage.
- We see Josh Mathews backstage with Randy Orton to a huge pop. He asks Orton if his statement to Sheamus was true last week, that he was targetting him in this match. Orton says that Sheamus has done too much talking. He says that Sheamus may have been the one standing tall this past Monday on Raw, but he attacked him from behind and that's the only reason he could do that. Orton says that tonight, the Punt is locked and loaded, and ready to remove Sheamus' head. The crowd cheer as Orton leaves. We then cut to ringside.
- Before the match, we see a quick package, highlighting how this match came about. It shows the three qualifying matches and features the Masked Attacks on John Cena. It finishes with all four men standing in the ring from their tag team bout on Raw a couple of week ago. We then return to the ring.
- Batista makes his entrance first, followed by Randy orton and then followed by Sheamus. John Cena is the last man to make his entrance looking more serious than ever, but trying his best to perform for the WWE Universe. As he walks down the ramp, the Masked Attackers come from either side and begin to club John Cena with lead pipes, taking him down. Batista, Sheamus and Orton look on from the ring, but Orton doesn't stand for it and goes to leave the ring to help, but Batista grabs him and drills him with a Spinebuster. The referee rings the bell.
WWE Championship - Batista [C] vs. John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. Sheamus | [Match Graphic] Batista beats down on Orton, the Masked Men still attacking John Cena on the ramp. Sheamus stands there, not knowing what to do. Batista covers Orton, but orton kicks out. He fights back, hitting Batista with right hands and eventually taking him down with a hug dropkick. Sheamus intervenes and clotheslines Orton to the canvas. He then begins to beat down on Orton, but BAtista gets back up and rips Sheamus away, having at Orton some more. Sheamus rips Batista away and gives Orton some punches. Finally, Batista rips Sheamus away and the two come face to face. Batista pulls no punches and drops Sheamus with a massive clothesline. He lifts Sheamus up and whips him into the corner before driving his shoulder into his gut. Orton gets back to his feet and spins Batista around, delivering right hands to the face. He drops Batista with his modified backbreaker and then does the same to Sheamus. At this time, the Masked Men had dragged John Cena up the ramp and to the backstage area. Nobody had a clue where they were taking him. Orton lifts Sheamus up and whips him into the corner. He lifts him up and then goes for a superplex, but Sheamus punches him and shoves him from the top, where he falls right into the arms of Batista who drives him into the canvas with a Spinebuster. Batista covers Orton, but Sheamus breaks it up. Sheamus delivers hard shots to Batista before eventually throwing him out of the ring. Sheamus signals for the end and lifts Orton up onto his shoulders for the Crucifix Powerbomb, but Orton slips off half way and catches Sheamus with a massive RKO to a huge pop from the crowd. He covers Sheamus, but Batista breaks it up just in time. Batista lifts Orton up and kicks him in the gut, ready for the Batista Bomb, but out of nowhere, Sheamus drills him with a Pump Kick, and Orton rolls through into a jacknife pinfall, but Sheamus breaks it up at two. Sheamus measures Orton, ready for another Pump Kick, but Orton ducks and goes for another RKO, but this time, Sheamus shoves him off and into the turnbuckle. Sheamus turns around to see Batista running towards him, but he moves and Batista drills Orton with a massive Spear. Batista sets Sheamus up for a Batista Bomb, but Orton spins him around and hits him with an RKO. He then throws Sheamus aside and checks out his surroundings. He sees that Batista is getting on all fours and he looks up and the WWE Universe know that the word 'Punt' is flashing through Orton's mind. He gets ready for it and begins to run, but out of nowhere... BAM! Pump Kick from Sheamus and Orton is laid out. Sheamus looks shocked himself, seeing that he has a chance. He covers Orton and to the shock of the entire WWE Universe, and perhaps even Sheamus... he gets the three. | Sheamus wins the WWE Championship with a Pump Kick |
- The entire WWE Universe are open-mouthed at this upset victory. The Cletic Warrior has once again claimed the WWE Championship and will again be at the top of the food chain on Raw. He is handed the WWE Championship by the referee and he instantly throws it up into the air, screaming in warrior-like fashion. Batista realises that he has lost and slams his hands on the mat. Sheamus leaves as the new WWE Champion, taunting as he walks up the ramp. He gets a ton of heat, but he obviously doesn't care. Meanwhile, in the ring, Batista and Orton get to their feet, Batista clearly angered after losing his tite. He grabs Orton and drives him into the canvas with a huge Batista Bomb. He then leaves, breathing heavily as Orton is laid out. We then cut backstage.
- The two Masked Men are seen hauling John Cena down the corridor. He comes around and begins to fight back as the WWE Universe cheer him on, but the two-on-one attack is too much for even him to handle. They throw him into the walls, making sure they stay in control. They finally reach a door, and it is the exact same door from earlier which reads 'WWE Chairman's Office'. The crowd gasp as the Masked Men open the door and throw Cena in, following him and slamming it shut as we fade to a promo package.
- We see a promo package for WWE SummerSlam, airing on the 15th of August, 2010. The promo finishes with this graphic. We then return to WWE Fatal 4 Way.
- Josh Mathews is backstage alongside Edge to a huge pop. He asks Edge if the addition of Big Show and Jeff Hardy to his feud with Jericho is going to affect his chances of winning. He says that of course he has less chance of winning tonight, but that doesn't mean he can't. He says that his main focus is making Chris Jericho's career a misery, in a repayment for Jericho humiliating him when he was on the shelf. He says that the World Heavyweight Championship surprisingly isn't his main priority and with or without the title, he wants to make sure Jericho gets his come-uppance. He leaves and we fade to ringside.
- The theme of CM Punk hits and The Straight Edge Society stroll out to a chorus of boos. They enter the ring with smiles on their faces and Punk speaks into the microphone, addressing the WWE Universe. He says "Well, well, well. It seems that my opponent for tonight, MVP, has a slight vision problem and cannot compete. You people don't understand how much it hurts to have to win a match without competing, it's a shame". Punk laughs as he says that, and the WWE Universe respond, giving him heat. He then says "Seeing as you all did spend your drug and alcohol money on a ticket to see me tonight, I can't turn down my followers now, can I?" More heat for Punk. Punk says "So, as a replacement for tonight's match, I am offering a chance for one person to be saved, right here tonight, and join the Straight Edge Society... who will it be?" He begins to scan the crowd as they boo, mocking them, saying he might pick them. He stops searching and says "It seems that none of you New Yorkers are worthy enough of a Straight Edge lifestyle. New York is the drug-filled capital of the city, and you all show it, believe me". You can barely hear Punk speaks there is that much heat. He says "None of you are sober enough to even speak the Straight Edge pledge, so why should I bother picking one of you? You're all pathetic, and a perfect example of what a city shouldn't be like". He then drops the microphone and The Straight Edge Society turn to leave, but are cut off by the theme of MVP to a massive pop. Suddenly, MVP comes rushing out wearing some kind of goggles for eye protection. He slides into the ring, the top half of his ring attire still not on, clearly not bothering with it because he just wants to fight Punk. Luke Gallows and Serena quickly escape as the referee rings the bell.
CM Punk w/ The Straight Edge Society vs. MVP | [Match Graphic] MVP tackled Punk to the canvas, extremely angered by what happened this past Friday on SmackDown. He delivered lefts and rights to Punk, who was covering up. The referee counted to four but MVP wouldn't stop. He gave him a chance and dragged him off of Punk, telling him to calm down. Punk gets up and punches MVP directly in the face, hitting those goggles and causing MVP to drop to the canvas in agony. He holds his eyesas the referee checks on him. Punk sadistically smirks, moving over to the corner where he is greeted by Luke Gallows and Serena. MVP manages to get back to his feet, adjusting his goggles. Punk doesn't let him get back fully though, kicking him in the gut and mocking him, wiping his eyes and sarcastically screaming "Oh help me, my eyes!" Punk laughs and kicks MVP down again. He lifts MVP up and goes for the Go To Sleep, but MVP slips off and drops Punk with a huge DDT. Both men lay out on the mat as the referee begins the ten count. He only reaches seven before both men are back to their feet. They trade blows in the ring, the crowd getting a chance to cheer and boo with each hit. MVP gets the upper hand and whips Punk against the ropes. On rebound, he jumps up and hits Punk with a cross body, covering him but only getting a two count. CM Punk crawls over to Luke Gallow and puts out his hand. We see MVP talking to the referee which allows Gallows to pur some of the substance used this past Friday into Punk's hand. Punk pretends to still be hurt and as MVP comes closer to him Punk goes to throw it, but MVP kicks Punk's hand and it blows out of the ring and onto the mats. Punk watches it float to the ground before looking back up at MVP who is ready to put Punk away. Gallows realises his 'messiah' is in trouble and jumps onto the apron, but MVP throws Punk shoulder first into his gut and sends him flying off the apron. MVP then hits Punk in the head with the Drive-By and covers him for the victory. | MVP def. CM Punk with the Drive-By |
- The WWE Universe are so happy to see MVP with this victory over the corruption known as CM Punk. He taunts to the crowd as they cheer him. Punk leaves with Gallows and Serena in disappointment, holding his head from the Drive-By he received, and Gallows holding his midsection. The Straight Edge Society leave as we fade backstage.
- We see the office of Mr. McMahon and John Cena is set in a chair with the Masked Attackers on either side of him. Mr. McMahon walks onto the scene to a massive amount of heat. He gets in Cena's face, which is banged and bruised. He says "Do you not understand it yet, John? I don't want you around anymore... You stuck your nose in my business with Bret Hart, and I told you I would make you pay for it. Did you honestly think that your punishment was having Batista destroy you every month? Of course not! That was just the beginning... this is the real punishment, John, and until I get you out of my hair and out of the WWE, it will continue. So, what do you say, John, do you want to give up?" Cena looks up at McMahon and simply shakes his head to a pop from the crowd. McMahon stands up straight and says "Wrong answer, John... get rid of him!" The Masked Men smack Cena around a bit and then lift him up, carrying him out of the room as we fade to a promo package.
- We see a promo package for this Tuesday's WWE NXT. It advertises that the Abraham Washington Show will take place with Guest, NXT Season One Rookie, Raw superstar, Bryan Danielson. We then return to the event.
- Josh Mathews is once again backstage, this time with the World Heavyweight Champion, Chris Jericho, and Wade Barrett. He says that Jericho has his hands full tonight, and asks him if he expects to walk out as the World Heavyweight Champion. Jericho looks at him in digust, saying "How dare you ask me such a question, you parasite! Get out of here!" He smacks Mathews and shoves him off-screen. Jericho speaks, saying "Tonight, the entire WWE Universe will see exactly why I'm the best in the world at what I do, and why I am the World Heavyweight Champion. I have beaten all three men in the past, and I know I can do it again. And as for Edge, he thinks he can gain retribution for his 'humiliation'... he's about to see what humiliation really is when I make him tap out to the Walls of Jericho!" Jericho and Barrett leave as we fade to ringside.
- Before the match, we see a quick video package showing how this match came about. We see the three qualifying matches and it highlights the ongoing feud between Chris Jericho and Edge. We then cut to the arena.
World Heavyweight Championship - Chris Jericho [C] vs. Edge vs. Big Show vs. Jeff Hardy | [Match Graphic] This match was definitely worth the wait. Instantly, the Big Show was triple teamed, all three men obviously understand that he was the biggest threat in the match (excuse the pun). They get rid of him by throwing him by each hitting their finishers. First, Jericho hits a Codebreaker, sending Show off balance. Then Edge takes him down with a Spear, and then finally, Hardy hits him with a Swanton Bomb. All three men stand over Big Show, before looking at each other. Then, all of them scramble for the pinfall, they scrap and fight, trying to cover Big Show, but it eventually turns into a brawl. Edge and Jericho break off from the crowd and have a fight of their own, leaving Hardy with Show. He covers him, but Show kicks out, sending Hardy flying across the ring. Hardy scraps that idea and intervenes in the Jericho/Edge fight. He teams with Edge to take on Jericho. They whip him against the ropes and meet him with a huge double dropkick. They then fight each other, trading blows, rights and lefts. Big SHow gets up and they both turn their attention to him, but Show overpowers them and Chokeslams both to the canvas. Show then turns around and grabs Chris Jericho, headbutting him to the canvas. He covers him but Jericho kicks out. Jeff Hardy leaps onto the back of Show, locking in a sleeper hold, but Show throws him off. Edge chops at the legs, taking him down to his knee. Hardy then dropkicks him and sends him rolling out of the ring. Jericho attacks Hardy, hitting him with a facebuster. He then slams Edge to the canvas and sees an opening. He bounces off the middle rope and hits a double Lionsault. He covers Hardy but only gets a two count. Jericho leaves the ring and grabs his World Heavyweight Championship, remembering the No DQ ruling. He measures Hardy, but Edge Spears him to the canvas before he can do anything. He covers Jericho but Hardy breaks it up. Edge shoves Hardy away and goes for a Spear on him, but Hardy moves and Edge flies into the steel post. Big Show tries to climb onto the apron but Hardy dropkicks him back down. He then delivers a Twist of Fate to Chris Jericho and the crowd go wild as Hardy has a very good chance at winning this. He climbs to the top, ready to Swanton Bomb, but... out of nowhere, Matt Hardy jumps onto the apron and hits his brother with a steel chair, sending him crashing to the matting outside the ring. Matt drops from the apron and flees through the crowd with a smirk on his face as Jeff is laid out. Edge gets up and lifts Jericho up, but out of nowhere, Jericho hits Edge with a massive Codebreaker and picks up the victory before Big Show can enter the ring to break the count. | Chris Jericho retains the World Heavyweight Championship after a Codebreaker |
- Wade Barrett comes to ringside, grabs the World Heavyweight Championship and hands it to Jericho who holds it up in celebration. Jericho and Barrett leave as Big Show looks on in anger. Edge is laid out in the ring while Hardy is laid out outside the ring. Show stands staring at Jericho and shakes his head in disappointment. The crowd think the show is over, but suddenly, the titantron comes into action and we cut backstage.
- The Masked Men are seen throwing John Cena into a car in the parking lot. They do speak to each other, but the constant shouting makes it difficult to hear them. They prop Cena up against the side of a car and then one of them rushes off-screen. The remaining Masked Man slaps Cena across the face. We see a long shot of the other Masked Man about to get in a car, but suddenly, Bret Hart runs onto the scene along with The Hart Dynasty and the Masked Man flees. We see the other one run as well as Tyson Kidd chases after him. Bret Hart and Natalya tends to John Cena who is battered and bruised, barely concious, while Kidd and Smith go after the Masked Men. The crowd are in a serious emotional shock. This story is definitely pushing the boundaries and many are worried for the well-being of John Cena. WWE Fatal 4 Way fades to a close in a rather horrific way.

WWE Fatal 4 Way: Sunday 20th June 2010...I am in fact interested in how this pay-per-view will be laid out by the company, should be quite interesting to see how this is structured. Interesting decision with Christian facing Evan Bourne in what was a great dark match with a show of respect following; Christian and Bourne are both great competitors and I hope they feud over the WWE United States Championship one day. Solid start to the show with Drew McIntyre retaining the WWE Intercontinental Championship, which was surprising to me. Nice win against Kofi Kingston, Ted Dibiase and Jack Swagger however, though I'd have loved a Swagger or Dibiase run with the belt. With McIntyre pinning Dibiase though, that could lead to something. Decent follow up match with John Morrison beating Matt Hardy; pretty nice encounter, very good indeed. Glad Morrison won, but hopefully this feud isn't over yet. The Hart Dynasty's WWE Unified Tag Team Championship defese was fine with them beating The Dudebusters, well received bout but wondering when Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith will lose the belts. Natalya beating Maryse is fine, but I think it should have definitely not followed the Hart Dynasty's match. To me it's odd that both matches are after one another. Glad that Maryse isn't the WWE Divas Champion, however. The Masked Men attacking John Cena prior to the fatal four-way for the WWE Championship was interesting, and I am so glad to see Sheamus become a two-time WWE Champion as this time he's more credible. Wish it would have main evented considering it featured a new champ though. I see Randy Orton feuding with Sheamus into The Bash. CM Punk's promo was very good, I really did like it and it set the scene for MVP's match with Punk. MVP getting the win certainly surprised me, however. Interested in where this could go next. The Abraham Washington Show on NXT! Rings a bell, ahaha. Vince McMahon's interrogation of John Cena is original for pay-per-view. Chris Jericho retaining the World Heavyweight Championship seemed expected, but really unsure of how the pay-per-view ended in such cliffhanger like fashion. It's not how a pay-per-view should end, as dramatic as it was. Hopefully the Masked Men are revealed on RAW and the Hart Dynasty can advance into their next feud. A good show, but some booking was uncertain to me.

-Great start to kick off the show. McIntyre retaining was a big shocker as I was pulling for DiBiase to win. Hope Ted takes it soon but still happy to see a good reign for McIntyre. -Morrison beating Hardy is good as I was expecting Morrison to win. Hardy should get a great push in his paranoia gimmick. -Good showing indeed for the Dudebusters. Hart Dynasty's title reign has been nothing short of stellar. -Natalya/Maryse sounds nice. The DQ finish is fine. I was expecting Maryse to be furious at Lee's interference. -Cena being attacked before the title match was realistic. I absolutely can't stand it but it was realistic. Sheamus winning the WWE Championship was good as I was expecting it. That or Batista. -MVP looked very dominant beating Punk is his eye protector goggles. Somehow I see M.V.P differently since it was so realistic. -Jericho retaining the gold was fine. Really wanted Hardy to win but this sets you up on a Hardy/Hardy II and I can see Jericho/Edge at the next PPV once again. -Very disappointed at this whole Cena/Masked Man situation. Really hoping Cena gets revenge and takes the gold. -Good show.

-The four guys in the opener really showcase some young talent. Surprised, but glad that McIntyre retained -I like the idea of Hardy/Morrison on PPV, but I didn't like Morrison winning. I feel that Matt should've won going into his upcoming feud with Jeff -Glad the Unified Tag Team Titles got a spot on the PPV card and good to see the Dynasty retained -Natalya retaining was pretty obvious -I liked the masked men abducting Cena and love Sheamus as Champion again. I feel like four straight Raw matches is overkill -Figured MVP would beat Punk to even their series, hopefully Punk can overcome him at the next PPV to win the series -Love Mr. McMahon being behind the masked men attacks -Jericho retaining was solid, although I see him dropping the belt at like, SummerSlam to Edge finally -Liked Bret & the Dynasty saving Cena and this is certainly an interesting storyline
Very good show, the only thing I disliked was the constant stream of Raw matches in a row. Other than that, great stuff.

FATAL FOUR WAY: Glad McIntyre retained here, hopes he drops the belt to Dolph Ziggler is anyone. Morrison beating Hardy us good because Morrison is pretty awesome and because it furthers Matt Hardy's unstableness, can't wait to see where this goes. I hope MVP can compete because I see him winning. The Dynasty retaining is good, I have no idea who you'll have them drop the titles too. Nice Cena/Batista confrontation, I'mm sure we'll see more of the masked men tonight. Wow, cool finish to the Divas Title match so Maryse didn't have to tap. Glad your having the WHC Match main event. Sheamus winning the title is cool, it works for me. Punk doing a pre-match promo is realistic and excites me for the next bout. Glad MVP won and overcame various distractions, good match. Uh ph, wonder what the men are doing with Cena? Great main event, happy Matt interfered to cost Jeff the match and Jericho retaining is fine. A great segment to finish the PPV aswell, really loving this mysterious angle and I'm really anticipatng RAW now. Overall a great PPV.

June 21st, 2010 - Bridgeport, Connecticut; It's a Sheamful thing
Kane def. Paul Burchill w/ Katie Lea Burchill R-Truth & Mark Henry def. Chavo Guerrero & Vladimir Kozlov
"Yes, sir, we promised you a great Main Event..."
- Before Raw opens up, we see a quick package recapping on last night's WWE Fatal 4 Way event. It concludes with a shot of John Cena leaning up against a car while Bret Hart and Natalya tend to him. Raw then begins.
Cue Opening Package
- The pyrotechnics burst from the stage and the WWE Universe make their voices heard. Michael Cole and Jerry 'The King' Lawler welcome us to Raw, less than 24 hours removed from a shocking WWE Fatal 4 Way. Cole reminds us of last night's horrific ending and tells us that tonight, Mr. McMahon will be here to address the fans later on in the show.Suddenly, the theme of Bret Hart hits and the crowd go nuts. Hart walks out along with the Divas Champion, Natalya and the Unified Tag Team Champions, Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith. Hart and The Hart Dynasty enter the ring before Bret begins to speak to the WWE Universe.
- Firstly, Bret says hello to the Connecticut fans, to which he gets a huge ovation. He then goes on to say that last night, he was sickened by the behaviour of the Masked Men and Vince McMahon. He says that what happened should never happen to anyone, and those Masked Men crossed the line, trying to severely injure John Cena in what could have been a fatal scene, had he and The Hart Dynasty not stepped in. Hart tells us that due to last night's events, John Cena cannot be here tonight, and the crowd are not happy. He apologises and then wishes John Cena a quick recovery. Hart says that he has had enough of this Masked Men fiasco. He says "If you two guys want to make an impact, don't do it through blindside attacks. If you want to make an impact, you do it the WWE way, so why don't you come down here tonight, and you see if you can hold your own against Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith!" The crowd cheer as The Hart Dynasty pump up, ready to fight. Hart lays out the challenge and closes his promo by saying "We'll be waiting..." His theme hits and they turn to leave, but before they can...
- The theme of the new WWE Champion, Sheamus hits and he strolls to the ring to a massive amount of heat. He enters and then speaks to Bret Hart. He says "Fella', I don't know if you've noticed, but I am your new WWE Champion, and you're taking up my time in this ring with your pathetic apologies and your emotional cries, when I could be out here telling the world of my achievements". The crowd boo as Hart looks around in confusion. He tells Sheamus that he may be the new WWE Champion, but that doesn't give him the right to come out and speak to him like that. He reminds him that he is Co-Owner of the WWE, so he better watch his mouth. Sheamus says that Bret is nothing, and the real power lies with Mr. McMahon. He says that after his victory last night, he is the top dog on Raw, and deserves the upmost respect from everyone in the locker room, including the Harts. Bret tells Sheamus that if he wanted respect, he wouldn't have let the attack on Cena continue last night, but instead, he cowardly took advantage of the situation. Hart dares to say that if Cena had been there, Sheamus wouldn't have won the Title. The crowd pop as Sheamus looks digusted. He exclaims that with or without Cena there, he would have won the WWE Championship, because it is his destiny. Hart says "Sheamus, if you want to prove that, then you can do it tonight! Our Main Event will be a Non-Title match between Sheamus... and Randy Orton!" The crowd go nuts as Sheamus stomps his feet. Sheamus screams that he shouldn't have to compete after such a match last night, but Hart simply shoves him aside and he leaves with The Hart Dynasty as his theme plays. Sheamus stares up the ramp in anger as we fade to a promo package.
- We see a promo package for The Bash, airing on the 18th of July, 2010. We then cut to a commercial break.
Commercial Break
- We return to the theme of The Miz to a lot of heat. He storms out looking extremely serious, entering the ring and then speaking to the WWE Universe. He shouts "I am sick and tired of being mistreat here on Raw ever since losing my United States Championship and then the Unified Tag Team Championships". He says that on top of that, Bryan Danielson has been having more success than him, which he can't stand. He then demands that Danielson come out and face him tonight, right now! He slams the microphone down and awaits a response. Bryan Danielson's theme hits and he comes out with a smile on his face, clearly amused by The Miz;s tantrum. He stands by ringside for a moment as the referee speaks to The Miz. Danielson slides in and The Miz immediately stomps on him as the referee rings the bell.
Bryan Danielson def. The Miz | The Miz was beating down on Danielson, angered at his previous losses. He lifts Danielson up and whips him into the corner, following it up with his signature clothesline. The Miz taunts around, shouting that he is better than everyone. He then lifts Danielson up and locks him up for the Skull Crushing Finale, but to the crowd amazement, Danielson rolls forward and gets some kind of victory roll on The Miz and the referee counts to three as the crowd erupt. Danielson quickly escapes the ring with a smile on his face as The Miz sits up in disbelief. He holds his head, shaking it saying "No... no..." He gets up and grabd the referee by the shirt and tells him that he kicked out, but the ref is having none of it. Miz screams in anger and then drops the referee with the Skull Crushing Finale. The Miz points up the ramp, telling Danielson that he will get his revenge, but Danielson laughs it off, taunts, and walks to the back as we fade backstage. |
- Evan Bourne is backstage, preparing for a match. The United States Champion, Christian walks in to a huge pop. He pats Bourne on the back and says "Evan, you're an impressive guy, and I've seen a ton of potential when we've teamed the last couple of times. I want to wish you luck in your #1 Contenders match tonight". Bourne thanks Christian, telling him he's going to give it his all and defeat Dolph Ziggler and gets his United States Championship match. Christian says he looks forward to it and is backing him all the way. However, Dolph Ziggler walks onto the scene to some heat. He looks at Christian and says "You're backing him? You're backing monkey boy, here? Get real, dude, I am your future contender, and future Champion for that matter. There is no way that this kid is beating me tonight, Dolph Ziggler is walking in, and then walking out as the #1 Contender for that title". He slaps Christian's belt and chuckles before leaving. Christian and Bourne look at each other before Christian says "What an idiot..." The crowd laugh as we fade to a commercial break.
Commercial Break
- Before the match, the United States Champion, Christian makes his way out to ringside and sits along with Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler.
#1 Contenders Match - Evan Bourne vs. Dolph Ziggler goes to a No Contest | This was a great match here. Both men gave it their all and showed that they are truly capable of becoming the United States Champion in the future. They battle back and forth, and then Evan Bourne gets a clear advantage and climbs up top, ready for a Shooting Star Press. But, to the shock of the crowd, Ezekiel Jackson and William Regal jump in and attack both men, forcing the referee to ring the bell. Jackson lifts Evan Bourne up and drives him into the canvas with the Book of Ezekiel. William Regal then throws Dolph Ziggler into Jackson, and he receives the same fate. Jackson stares through the ropes as Christian takes of his headset and grabs his Championship. Christian and Jackson glare at each other, William Regal shouting that Jackson is coming for the United States Championship. Christian slowly walks around the ring, not taking his eyes off of Jackson, and Jackson follows him with his eyes. Christian backs up the ramp as Jackson screams to a lot of heat from the crowd. We then cut to a promo package. |
- We see a 'Don't Try This' package featuring Raw superstar, John Cena. We then return to Raw.
- Backstage, we see a black limousine pull up in the parking lot. The driver opens the door and out steps Mr. McMahon to a massive amount of heat. He struts into the arena with a huge grin on his face as we fade to ringside.
Maryse w/ April Lee def. Gail Kim | A quick divas match which resulted in April Lee once again sticking her nose in a match of Maryse's and assisting her to victory. Gail Kim had an advantage and went up top, measuring Maryse for a crossbody, but Lee jumped onto the apron and pulled down Kim's legs. Maryse then dragged Kim from the turnbuckle and dropped her with the French Kiss for the win. Maryse and April Lee celebrate as Raw fades to a commercial break. |
Commercial Break
- We return to hear the theme of The Hart Dynasty. All three of them come out to a huge pop and enter the ring. Tyson Kidd grabs a microphone and speaks. He says "Alright, we're out here, and we're ready. We know you're back there, so why don't you two Masked goons come out here and face us like the men you supposedly are". They wait a few seconds before we hear the theme of none other than Mr. McMahon to a ton of heat. He walks out onto the stage, the grin still plastered across his face. He then speaks to The Hart Dynasty. He says "Well, well. It looks like Bret has sent his family to do the dirty work for him. Well, I can tell you that he has no right to challenge my personal signees, they are under contract by me, not Raw, and so they appear on my command. I am here tonight to address the WWE Universe on what happened last night at WWE Fatal 4 Way, which was spectacular might I add". He gets a lot of boos and The Hart Dynasty look disgusted. David Hart SMith speaks now, saying "Vince, you're a twisted men, and you need some serious help. John Cena never did anything but stick up for Bret when you were denying him his WrestleMania match and when you were trying to humiliate him. John was standing up for the good of Raw, nothing more. Why is that crime?" McMahon laughs and says "John Cena is nothing more than a pathetic suck-up, just like the rest of the WWE Universe". He gets a lot of heat for that remark. He says "Now that you pathetic Harts have taken up my time, I can no longer address the WWE Universe, so I guess I'll have to do it quickly... via actions". The Hart Dynasty look at each other, not knowing what he was talking about. Suddenly, the Masked Men jump Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith, beating them down with clubbing blows to the back and head. Natalya screams as she sees her two boys getting beaten down. The Masked Men stop and then trun to Natalya, before grabbing her and putting her in the middle of the ring. In a shocking act, one of the Masked Men clotheslines Natalya to the canvas to a gasp from the crowd. The Masked Men leave the ring and escape through the crowd leaving The Hart Dynasty out on the canvas. There was a large "Cena!" chant, but John Cena isn't in the building to save them, and so this ends in a horrific fashion. Mr. McMahon leaves, chuckling to himself as we fade backstage.
- We see Bret Hart in his office, but he is beaten down and laid out on the floor, obviously done by the Masked Men before they came out and attacked The Hart Dynasty. R-Truth and Mark Henry enter the room, apparently to see Bret about a match, but they see him laid out and immediately, Truth checks on him. Truth tells Henry to go and get help and he rushes off to do so. Truth tries to talk to Bret, but there's no response. This is getting out of hand, and something needs to be done. We then fade to a commercial break.
Commercial Break
John Morrison w/ Eli Cottonwood def. Cody Rhodes w/ Duke Rotundo | The crowd were obviously still buzzing from what just took place, but this match definitely brought us back to a Raw reality. Cody Rhodes was pretty vicious in this match, hoping to pick up a victory after losing on WWE NXT last week. John Morrison is fresh of a WWE Fatal 4 Way victory last night over Matt Hardy, who apparently isn't here tonight. Rhodes goes for the Cross-Rhodes, but Morrison knees Rhodes in the head multiple times before hitting him with a Springboard Chuck Kick. Morrison then drills him with the Starship Pain for the victory. John Morrison and Eli Cottonwood celebrate as Duke Rotundo helps Rhodes from the ring. Rhodes slaps Rotundo away and storms off, and Rotundo follows in a disappointment. We then fade backstage. |
- Josh Mathews is backstage with Randy Orton to a massive pop. He asks Orton what he thinks about what just went down between McMahon, the Masked Men, Bret Hart and The Hart Dynasty. Randy Orton says he's done some bad things in his time, many of them to John Cena, but this is taking it too far. He says that no man deserves what McMahon is putting Cena through, and he hopes Cena can overcome it all. Mathews then asks Orton what he thinks about being pinned last night by Sheamus. Orton says that Sheamus is nothing but a fluke Champion, and he shouldn't have won last night. He says that despite all that, Orton is more angered that Batista attacked him after the match. He says that Batista will get what's coming to him soon, but for now, he is focusing on defeating Sheamus and perhaps earning another WWE Championship match. He walks off and we fade to a promo package.
- We see a promo package for tomorrow night's WWE NXT, advertising the Abraham Washington Show's return to TV, with special guest, NXT Season One Rookie and Raw superstar, Bryan Danielson. We then cut to commercial break.
Commercial Break
- We return to see Bret Hart been tended to in the back of an ambulance. The Hart Dynasty walk on screen, holding their heads after their own attack. Natalya is extremely worried for her Uncle Bret and says that she'll go with him to the hospital. Natalya gets in the ambulance and Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith close the doors. Kidd speaks to Smith, saying "We need to stop this, Dave. We need to unmask these guys and then give them a beating of their own". Smith nods his head and says "We will, Ty, don't worry. We're going to get these guys if it's the last thing I do!" They walk off and we fade to ringside.
Non-Title - Sheamus def. Randy Orton | This was an excellent Main Event featuring two of the four participants in last night's Fatal 4 Way match. Sheamus was very cocky tonight, obviously gloating about his second WWE Championship reign. Randy Orton was looking to take Sheamus out tonight, though, and hopefully regain contention to the WWE Championship. They battled back and forth, neither man gaining a good advantage. At one point, Sheamus hit Orton with the Pump Kick and covered him, but Orton kicked out at two. Sheamus lifted Orton up for the Crucifix Powerbomb, but Orton slipped off and then hit Sheamus with a huge RKO. It looked as if Orton had the match won, but suddenly, Batista walked down the ramp looking serious. He stopped at ringside and Orton saw him. He shouted over the ropes at Batista, telling him that he was next in line, but the distraction was enough for Sheamus to roll Orton up with a handful of tights and pick up the victory. Sheamus quickly escaped, grabbing his WWE Championship and walking past Batista, leaving up the ramp. Batista entered the ring following the match... |
- He traded blows with Orton as the crowd cheered. Orton gained the advantage, receiving a pop, but Batista blocked one of the shots and drove Orton into the canvas with the Spinebuster. Batista dropped to the canvas and got in Orton's face, shouting "You're not better than me! This is my time, Randy!" He then gets up and taunts as his theme plays and Raw fades to a close.

WRESTLING OBSERVER NEWS June 22nd, 2010
- According to the recent ratings, the Masked Man storyline has increased viewers by a lot over the past couple of months. The popularity of the angle is increasing each week and has definitely brought in many more viewers to the shows. The story is expected to go until SummerSlam.
- At WWE Fatal 4 Way, we saw the beginning of another Matt/Jeff Hardy feud. It is expected that the feud will go to SummerSlam and perhaps even beyond, it is unknown. With Matt Hardy not appearing this Monday on Raw, many believe he will be re-joining the SmackDown brand. Expect a segment on it this Friday night.
- There have been talks of the WWE re-signing Primo Colon. Primo was released earlier this year due to lack of creative ideas for his character, however, Carlito may have managed to sway WWE Management into getting him back to WWE programming. No contract has been reached as of yet, but be sure to keep a look out.
- Rob Van Dam is set to debut very soon. I know we keep reporting this, but he has been training up and his debut is literally around the corner. The Bash is likely, but SummerSlam is definitely the most likely of the two.

WWERAW: The Hart's opening up makes sense, I'm sure the Masked Men will be attacking the Hart Dynasty instead of facing them. Sheamus vs. Orton is a great main event. The Miz losing to Danielson is fine, Miz assaulting the referee was good. Nice Ziggler/Christian/Burne confrontation, I'd like to see eithe rman become the contender. Wow, did expect and attack from Jackson there, wonder what this is leading too. Maryse beating Kim is fine with help from April Lee. The Hart Dynasty coming back out works, I'm intrigued. The Masked Men attacking was good and clotheslining Natalya adds more to the heat, I like this. Wow, Bret has been laid out? this is awesome. Glad Morrison got the victory over Rhodes there, I like both men though. I can'twait for the Masked Men to be unmasked, really can't. Glad Sheamus won as it gets him over as champion and with the roll-up it doesn't hurt Orton. Nice post-match spinebuster, this could lead to a match, or atleast that's what I'm guessing. Good RAW.

-I like the sound of the masked men vs. the Hart Dynasty -Sheamus saying that he's all that matters on Raw now was a good promo and Orton/Sheamus is a good main event -Miz' tantrum was realistic and I like the success Danielson has been having on Raw, although I hope The Miz doesn't get buried -Bourne/Ziggler going to a no contest due to Ezekiel Jackson is great -I like the Lee/Maryse pairing and glad Maryse won -I enjoy how dominant the masked men have looked and hitting Natalya equals a crazy amount of heat -Morrison/Rhodes seemed like a decent match, wish Rhodes would of won though -I like the Dynasty planning to take out the masked men, it's a big angle for them -I like Sheamus retaining because of Batista, but dislike how Batista was only focused on Orton and not the WWE Title in the slightest
Very good Raw as always though

Fatal 4 Way:
- Good choice of an opener, although I'd have preferred DiBiase or Swagger to win. - Morrison defeating Hardy is the right call here, but hope Hardy gets the last laugh. - The Hart Dynasty retaining is for the best here, hope they get a long run together. - Not fond at all of this coming right after, but, Natalya retaining is best. - Sheamus winning the WWE Championship is nice to see, and the masked men getting Cena is intriguing. - Love that Punk got a promo before his match, but losing to MVP I wish did not happen. - Chris Jericho retaining the World Title is for the best as he just won it at Extreme Rules. - Solid way to end the show with the masked men, Cena, Hart Dynasty, and Bret.
Good cliffhanger to the show and a good show overall.
Raw:
- Good opening promo, Masked Men vs Hart Dynasty and Sheamus vs Orton sound good. - Miz losing to Danielson is good, and Miz throwing a temper tantrum is Miz-like. - Bourne and Ziggler going to a no contest thanks to Jackson is good, Christian staredown after is nice. - Maryse defeating Gail Kim is the right call here as she needs to stick in contention right now. - Masked Men attacking Hart Dynasty now is good, and attacking Natalya? Holy foshiznits. - Morrison and Rhodes facing is nice, and Morrison winning I am okay with. - Lastly, good main event and Sheamus defeating Orton is the right call, and Batista getting involved is nice.
Good Raw.

WWE RAW: Monday 21st June 2010...Kane beating Paul Burchill is a fine match for Superstars, looks like that the Burchills return to RAW was random and went nowhere, though. R-Truth and Mark Henry, and Chavo Guerrero and Vladimir Kozlov was a weak match, but acceptable with mixed races. Good promo to start up with Bret Hart in the ring and mentioning the Masked Mens involvement. John Cena being injured is nice, by the way. Sheamus then interrupting was a necessity as he is the new WWE Champion. Looking forward to the main event, too. Should be huge. The Miz's segment was a perfect set up for the match with Bryan Danielson and a good win for Danielson but did little for Miz and his push. Solid bout between Evan Bourne and Dolph Ziggler, but I really dislike that Ezekiel Jackson destroyed both men, including Ziggler who has all the potential in the world to be a future WWE United States Champion himself. Another feud with Christian and Zeke with William Regal can't be too bad I suppose. Maryse with a win over Gail Kim was decent, April Lee is the apprentice eh? Heated first-hour promo from Vince McMahon and the Hart Dynasty. As expected, the Masked Men assaulting Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith was good, and a feud over the WWE Unified Tag Team Championships is expected to follow. The mention of a Cena chant was very well done, though. John Morrison and Cody Rhodes would be an excellent match, well done bout here. Rhodes slapping Duke Rotundo around is a little weird, but a new Legacy is on the horizon obviously. Lastly, great bout between Randy Orton and Sheamus, but the involvement of Batista in things are really annoying me now. A good show, sets up for The Bash where we could see a triple threat match for the WWE Championship. I hope not though, we haven't seen a single standard WWE Championship match on pay-per-view since Extreme Rules. Good show, though.

RAW: - Solid opening segment, nicely sets up a number of angles for the rest of the show. - I'm liking how your handling The Miz, as long as it doesn't result in less of a push for him. Solid win for Danielson, I can see at least one more match between the two. - Good to see Ezekial getting involved in the United States title picture, although I hope Evan Bourne and Dolph Ziggler don't get pushed back for the Christian/ Jackson feud. - I'm liking that April Lee is working with Maryse, it makes sense and allows you to familiarise people with Lee before an eventual push. - Solid segment with the Masked Men taking out all of the Hart Dynasty, and I'm liking that the Hart Dynasty are getting a nice push from the masked men angle. - Good win for Morrison, hopefully you'll do a bit more with him following his tenure as a NXT pro. - Solid main event, although I have the horrible feeling that your going with another Sheamus/ Cena match at The Bash, which honestly wouldn't interest me at all. - The Orton/ Batista feud on the other hand could be pretty good if you work it properly. Although I don't see Batista showing more interest in taking out Orton than the WWE Champion. - Solid show but there was a lot of focus on the Masked Men angle once again which makes the rest of the roster suffer.

June 22nd, 2010 - Manchester, New Hampshire; Making a Statement
"Yes, sir, we promised you a great Main Event..."
Cue Opening Package
- WWE NXT Week Three opens with it's usual pyrotechnics display and a capacity crowd cheering it on. Josh Mathews and Michael Cole welcome us to the show and remind us that tonight, the Abraham Washington Show will return to WWE TV and will have it's first guest in the form of former NXT Rookie, now Raw superstar, Bryan Danielson. Matt Striker is in the ring and is about to start the show, but we are surprised to hear the theme of The Miz to a lot of heat. He walks out looking pretty angry, alongside his Rookie, Alex Riley. They enter the ring and Miz speaks to the WWE Universe.
- The Miz says "Last night on Raw, I was once again screwed over by that Rookie, Daniel Bryan, Bryan Danielson, whatever his name is. I demand that I get a rematch, here tonight on NXT!" The crowd cheer, but Matt Striker cuts in, reminding The Miz that NXT is about the Rookies, not the superstars. The Miz looks at Striker in anger, but Alex Riley calms him down and speaks to Striker. Riley says "Matt, The Miz is the Pro of me, the WWE's next breakout star, and you will not speak to him in that way". Striker backs off as Riley tells Miz to continue to speak. He starts, but is cut off by the theme of NXT itself as the NXT Pros make their way to their stools on the stage. The seven Pros make their way to the stage as The Miz looks on in confusion. They sit down and Miz shouts "Really? Really? You come out here interrupting me and--" Miz is cut off by John Morrison to a huge pop. Morrison says "Miz, for god sake, sit down and shut your mouth!" The crowd go nuts as Miz looks on in disbelief. The Miz shouts off microphone, and Riley has to calm him down and escort him out of the ring and up the ramp to his stool. Matt Striker walks into the center of the ring smiling and then says "Well, a round of applause for The Miz... Anyway, tonight, I can reveal that our Main Event will be a Rookie tag team bout featuring Kaval teaming with Eli Cottonwood to take on Duke Rotundo and Titus O'Neil. He then tells us that to kick things off, we have Rookie versus Pro action as Alex Riley takes on Mark Henry. Riley looks on in shock as he must return to the ring and take on the World's Strongest Man. We then cut to a promo package.
- We see a promo package for WWE The Bash, airing on the 18th of July, 2010. We then cut to a commercial break.
Commercial Break
Mark Henry w/ Lucky Cannon def. Alex Riley w/ The Miz | Alex Riley was pretty nervous about having to take on the World's Strongest Man, but he went in guns blazing and tried his best to take the big man down, but Henry's strength and experience wouldn't allow it. Riley jumped on Henry's back for the sleeper hold, but Henry just launched him across the ring. Riley later went up top and jumped off for a high crossboy, but Henry caught him and planted him with the World's Strongest Slam for the victory. Lucky Cannon entered the ring and congratulated his Pro as the duo celebrated. The Miz held his head in his hands as Riley rolled out of the ring. Riley says "It won't happen again, Miz, I promise" but Miz shouts "You said that last week! You're making me look bad!". We then fade backstage. |
- Matt Striker is backstage alongside NXT Rookie, Joe Hennig. Striker asks Hennig how it felt to defeat a friend and fellow next generation superstar, Cody Rhodes last week. Hennig chuckles and says he has wanted to do that for so long, saying he has been fed up of watching Raw and seeing Cody run his mouth. He says that he enjoyed every last bit. Striker then asks him if he feels confident with the first ever WWE Pro's Poll coming up next week. Hennig says that he feels pretty confident, especially after last week's victory. Striker thanks him and tells him to enjoy the rest of the show as we fade to a commercial break.
Commercial Break
Kaval & Eli Cottonwood w/ Rey Mysterio & John Morrison def. Duke Rotundo & Titus O'Neil w/ Cody Rhodes & Zack Ryder | A brilliant Main Event for the NXT broadcast tonight, featuring an all Rookie match. Kaval kicked things off with Rotundo and they battled back and forth. Eventually Eli Cottonwood and Titus O'Neil, the two biggest men on NXT were the legal men. They fought hard, trading blows. It came to a close when Cottonwood tagged in Kaval who took O'Neil down and drilled him with the Warrior's Way for the victory. Kaval jumped up and high fived Cottonwood as Rotundo and O'Neil left. Both Cody Rhodes and Zack Ryder were pretty annoyed at their Rookies and stormed off without them. Rey Mysterio and John Morrison shook hands and celebrated with their Rookies as we fade backstage. |
- Matt Striker is once again backstage, this time alongside Percy Watson. He asks him how it felt to debut last week. Watson tells him he enjoyed it so much and could get used to Main Eventing NXT. Striker asks him on a scale of one to ten, how confident he is feeling about the Pro's Poll next week. He says he's about a seven, saying MVP has made him understand his strengths and his weaknesses which he eneds to improve on, but overall, he thinks he's done pretty good. Striker wishes him luck and send us back to the show.
- We see a 'Don't Try This' package featuring multiple WWE superstars. We then cut to a commercial break.
Commercial Break
- We return to see the ring all set up for the return of the Abraham Washington Show. Tony Atlas is standing in the ring with a microphone on a stand. He does the usual introduction, finishing up with "And now... Heeeeereeeee's ABE!". Washington's theme hits to a ton of boos as he walks out down the ramp. He goes to slap fans hands, but many move them away, but he ignores it and continues as normal. He gets in the ring, grabs a microphone from his desk and says "Thankyou, thankyou, oh you shouldn't have, thankyou". His theme fades out and he begins to speak to the WWE Univers. He says "Damn, it feels good to be back, and I know you're happy to have me back, right? Haha". The 'LAUGH' graphic flashes on the titantron, but all he receives is boos, aside from Tony Atlas of course who does his patented laugh to the crowd's amusement. Washington then says "Well then, without further ado, let's bring on my guest for tonight. He is an international star in his own right, wrestling all around the world, and is a former Rookie of NXT Season One, now lucky enough to be a Raw superstar... Daniel Bryanson... erm... I mean, Bryan Danielson!" Danielson's theme hits and he walks out to the ring, past the NXT Pros who are all clapping, except for The Miz who glares at him all the way down the ramp. Danielson enters and Washington offers to shake his hand. Danielson goes to take it but Washington moves his hands quickly and laughs, telling him to sit down.
- Both men sit down and Washington begins to speak. He says "Right, so Bryan, you were a Rookie on the last season of NXT, how does it feel to be in the position these Rookies are in right now?" Danielson turns to the Rookies who are now standing on the ramp with their Pros and says "These guys know what I'm talking about when I say that this show can change your life. This is one of the most nerve-racking things they will have to do, especially when it comes to the Pro's Poll which the first one is next week, I believe". Washington replies, saying "That's cute, but we all know you didn't win NXT, and mnaged to scrape a WWE contract via a fluke, correct?" The crowd boo but Danielson stays calm, laughs and says "Haha, call it whatever you want, I got my WWE contract, and I am very grateful for the WWE Universe being behind me the entire way". He gets a pop from the crowd as Washington pretends to laugh. He says "Alright, next question... what is your problem with The Miz?" Danielson chuckles again and says "The Miz? He was the single worst Pro on NXT last season, and I feel sorry for Alex Riley to have to deal with him this season, he's a total idiot that doesn't have a clue what talent it about". The crowd go wild as The Miz stands up on the stage and starts screaming at Bryan. MVP who is sat next to Miz gets up and tries to calm him down, but Miz smacks him aside and demands he is hadned a microphone. Someone hands him a microphone and he says "Danielson, you're nothing but a fluke, a one-trip pony, you're a nobody!" Danielson stands up in the ring and shouts "Then how come I have beaten you three times now? Huh? Answer me that, pretty boy" The crowd cheer as Miz gets angrier. He screams "You come up here and say that to my face, Rookie!" Danielson shakes his head and laughs before saying "I'll tell you what, Miz. Seeing as we clearly haven't finished this yet, how about we have another match to settle our differences one and for all... at The Bash". The crowd pop as The Miz thinks for a while. Miz then souts "You're on, Danielson!" He slams the microphone to the floor and storms off as Danielson looks on with a smile on his face. Abraham Washington speaks, saying "Well, that's all we have time for tonight on the Abraham Washington Show, hopefully I can upgrade off of this ridiculous show and get back on Raw, we'll see. Goodnight everybody, I know you'll miss me!" Washington and Atlas leave as Danielson taunts with the WWE Universe. WWE NXT then fades to a close.

RAW -Good opener. Orton/Sheamus shall be good. -Miz saying he's sick and tired seems realistic. Hope he does something about it though. -Danielson beating Miz seems a bit shocking. Miz's outburst was entertaining. But hope this doesn't go to be an M.V.P like losing streak. -Bourne vs. Ziggler ending in a No Contest to me was nice. Jackson's attention on the US Title should be good. -Maryse beating Gail Kim was a good call. Hope she takes the Divas Title soon. -Glad that Morrison beating Rhodes. Hoping for Morrison to get to a main event push toward gold. -Hope Cena overcomes the masked man and gets some backup around him. Got the Cena chant in my head now too. Hart Dynasty attacked proved it's point. -And he proves it! Sheamus beating Orton doesn't prove to be a shocker to me. But I wonder how long his reign will go. -Good RAW
NXT -Miz seems to be in some hot water now. Wonder how that'll do for him. Good open -Henry beating Riley is good. Hope Henry can be used for something more soon. -Kaval and Eli beating Duke and O'Neil was the right call. Hoping to see Kaval win it all or Alex Riley. -Good opener. Wonder how that'll go with Miz/Danielson. Hope Miz's problems blaze into months. -Good NXT

- I love the opening segment with Miz/Riley/Striker. Miz won't shut up until he gets what he wants. - Henry beating Riley was fine as it causes more tension between Miz and Riley. - I can see another Rhodes/Henning match happening as i think Rhodes may want some revenge. - Kaval and Cottonwood is a very interesting team. Different styles, personalities, and definitely sizes. Nice to see them get the win over Rotundo and O'Neil. - Percy Watson with yet again another entertaining promo. - The Abraham Washington show with Danielson was definitely the best part of the show for me. I loved how Miz and Danielson were exchanging words and their match at The Bash should be a classic. I just hope The Miz doesn't get buried in this. - A perfect edition of NXT. No flaws at all.

WWE NXT: Tuesday 22nd June 2010....Pretty decent promo from The Miz to open up this edition of NXT with him mentioning his loss to Bryan Danielson last night on RAW. Liked Alex Riley telling him to calm it, and so much build including with involvement from Matt Striker and John Morrison. Looks like an odd edition of NXT is coming up, but I'm anticipating it. Mark Henry beating Alex Riley is fine, pretty amusing to be honest. I'm not a fan of what you are doing with the Riley and Miz combination however, as the point was that Riley is a better version of what Daniel Bryan was in NXT Season One, as opposed to Miz being the Pro of a failure. Joe Hennig working on his mic skills is fine, not bad. Him, Kaval, Riley or Percy Watson have this won, to be honest. Kaval and Eli Cottonwood winning is fine, hopefully we see Cottonwood face Kaval soon, that'd be a great display of how lethal Kaval can be to larger opponents. Good win against Duke Rotundo [somebody who could be great if given a chance and loses some weight] and Titus O'Neil. Lastly, pretty great final promo with Abraham Washington presenting the Abraham Washington Show. Well written segment, and advanced the feud with Bryan Danielson and The Miz once again. A match at The Bash sounds good, but it's likely that Miz will win to be honest. A good show, but honestly, this edition of NXT wasn't even focused on the Rookies as much as the situation with Miz and Danielson. I wish we could have seen another match involving the two unused Rookies tonight, Watson and Hennig, as that would have been fun. A decent show, but too much Miz involved.

June 25th, 2010 - Manchester, New Hampshire; Is that an S.O.S I hear?
Carlito & Zack Ryder w/ Rosa Mendes def. Chris Masters & Jimmy Wang Yang Jack Swagger def. JTG
"Yes, sir, we promised a great Main Event..."
Cue Opening Package
- The pyrotechnics explode from the stage as the crowd go wild. Togg Grisham and Matt Striker welcome us to the show and reminds us of the WWE Fatal 4 Way Pay Per View this past Sunday. They tell us we are now on our way to SummerSlam, but first we must go through The Bash which is our next event. Before they can continue, the theme of the World Heavyweight Champion, Chris Jericho hits and he comes out alongside Wade Barrett to a lot of heat. They enter the ring and Jericho begins to speak to the WWE Universe.
- He reminds us of how he defeated his three opponents and retained his World Heavyweight Championship this past SUnday, boasting about how he did it all by himself. Todd Grisham tells us that this isn't true and that Matt Hardy took his brother Jeff out near the end of the match, stopping Jeff from possibly winning. Chris Jericho mentions Matt Hardy, but says he would have done it without him anyway, and that he was simply taking a rest and would have moved as soon as Hardy jumped off for the Swanton Bomb. Jericho goes to speak again, but the theme of Edge hits to a massive pop. He steps out onto the stage and speaks, telling Jericho that last night he was screwed over and that Jericho retained his title on a fluke. Jericho says he doesn't do flukes because he is the best in the world at what he does. Edge laughs and says Jericho is the best at cheating, maybe, but wrestling, not. Jericho says that later tonight, he and Wade Barrett will take on Edge and the Big Show in tag team action, and he promises to shut Edge up once and for all. Edge says that Jericho couldn't if he tried, and he looks forward to putting both men out. Edge's theme hits and he leaves as Jericho and Barrett look on, annoyed. We then cut to a promo package.
- We see a promo package for WWE The Bash, airing on July 18th, 2010. We then cut to a commercial break
Commercial Break
MVP def. Shelton Benjamin via Disqualification | A great match to kick off tonight's SmackDown, and with MVP fresh off a Pay Per View victory over CM Punk, he was rolling. It was looking in has favour in this match, and yes, MVP did win, but perhaps not the way he hopes too. He set Benjamin up for the Playmaker, but he slipped out of the ring. MVP followed him, but suddenly, out of nowhere, a man jumped over the barricade wearing a Straight Edge Society hoodie and started pumelling MVP. The referee was forced to ring the bell, and then jumped out to stop the attack. |
- The referee and a few security guys pull the crazed 'fan' away from MVP as MVP stands up and looks on in confusion. Suddenly, CM Punk's theme hits and he comes out onto the stage with Luke Gallows and Serena, just in time to stop the security who were escorting the man out of the building. CM Punk smiles and tells the security guards to let him go because apparently, he's with them. Punk beckons him over with a sadistic smile across his face. The hooded man stands beside Punk before Punk yanks his hood down and reveals him to be... none other than Joey Mercury. The crowd boo, seeing his face on the titantron. CM Punk tells us that Mercury is the latest addition to the Straight Edge Society, and is one more person better than each and every one of the WWE Universe. He says that Punk has talked with Thedore Long, and Joey Mercury has a match against MVP next week to earn himself a SmackDown contract if he wins. Punk tells MVP to enjoy his week, because he isn't through trying to make his life more of a heel than it already is. The Straight Edge Society leave as MVP looks on in anger. We then fade backstage.
- We see Theodore Long in his office, just witnessing what just went down. He shakes his head and says "Why did I book that match? I'm stupid". Long turns around and we see The DiBiase's walk onto the screen to a pop. Ted says "Teddy, I was wondering, you've allowed my brother to accompany me to the ring in my matches, well I was thinking, how about you let him have a contract? If it's money you want..." DiBIase is about to get money out of his jeans, but Long laughs and tells him not to be stupid, Brett can have a contract. He then asks Brett if he has his wrestling gear, to which Brett replies "Of course, sir, I bring it with me everywhere". Long smiles and says that Brett has a match, and it's up next, telling him to go and get ready. Brett turns to Ted and smiles, giving him a high five. Brett leaves to go and get ready, as Ted asks who is opponent will be. Long then says it will be the Intercontinental Champion, Drew McIntyre, who gets heat from his name been mentioned. Ted says he wants a piece of McIntyre soon, because he wants the Intercontinental Championship. Long tells him he'll think about that as Ted leaves. We then fade to a commercial break.
Commercial Break
Non-Title - Drew McIntyre def. Brett DiBiase w/ Ted DiBiase | Drew McIntyre was extremely cocky, obviously pleased with his victory last night at WWE Fatal 4 Way. Brett comes out to 'Priceless', his brother's theme. He puts on a great showing actually, but the experience of Drew McIntyre is too much for the young superstars and he gets put away with a vicious Future Shock DDT for the victory. After the match, McIntyre placed his foot on Brett's chest and lifted the Intercontinental Championship high, staring ad Ted on the outside. Ted looks on in anger as we fade to a promo package. |
- We see a 'Don't Try This' package featuring SmackDown superstar, MVP. We then return to SmackDown.
- Backstage, we see Josh Mathews standing by with Jeff Hardy to a huge pop. Jeff looks extremely upset and angry, Mathews asks him if he knows what drove Matt to do what he did this past Sunday at WWE Fatal 4 Way. Jeff says he hasn't got a clue, but Matt was aggressive at the WWE Draft edition of Raw, but then they got split with the Draft and he didn't think nothing of it, but now, he costs him the World Heavyweight Championship. Jeff says he knows Matt is in the building tonight, and he expects some sort of explanation, so he's going out there right now to sort it out. We then cut to a commercial break.
Commercial Break
- We return to see Jeff Hardy make his entrance, but obviously, he isn't his happy self due to his brother's recent actions. He enters the ring and speaks to the WWE Universe. He says that last year, he and his brother Matt had a classic battle at WrestleMania 25 in an Extreme Rules match and after that, they both realised that hey were brothers, and brothers weren't meant to fight, so they made up and went their separate ways. Jeff says that he hasn't done anything to Matt this year, and there hasn't been anything wrong between them, so he has no idea what drove Matt to do what he did and cost him the World Heavyweight Championship. Suddenly, Jeff is cut off by the theme of Matt Hardy himself who comes out on the stage to a massive amount of heat. Matt says "Jeff... you don't understand? What do you mean, you don't understand? You;ve done it again... you've stolen my spotlight! You leave for no apparent reason, return at WrestleMania 26 and suddenly you're welcomed back by the WWE Universe with open arms... what do I get? I get shoved to the sidelines again, and it's all because of you! I am the better Hardy, I am the one who should be getting World Championships, I'm the one who should be getting Main Event matches... not you! You've ruined my chances time and time again, Jeff, and this past Sunday, i returned the favour... but if you think I'm done there... you're very much mistaken... you're no brother of mine, Jeff, and I'm going to make sure you remember that!" Suddenly, Matt Hardy drops the microphone and runs to the ring. He slides in and tackles his brother to the ground to a lot of heat, but Jeff turns it around and starts pumelling on Matt to a huge pop. Matt escapes the ring and backs up the ramp in anger. Jeff screams "I'm not holding back this time, Matt!" Matt leaves up the stage and we fade backstage.
- Edge is in his locker room preparing for tonight's Main Event. Big Show walks in to a pop and pats Edge on the shoulder. Edge comically mouths "Ouch" before welcoming Big Show. Show tells Edge that regardless of this past Sunday, he knows they're still friends and can be tag partners tonight. Edge tells him he's cool and they are still friends. Big Show then bring up their relationships with Vickie Guerrero, Edge stops him and tells him they won't be friends he keeps bringing up memories like that. The crowd chuckle, as does Show. Edge tells him to keep the stuff with Vickie to private conversations, not in front of millions of people. The two then comcially turn and look at the camera before walking off, leaving the fans humoured. We then cut to a commercial break.
Commercial Break
Goldust & Yoshi Tatsu w/ Hornswoggle def. The Dudebusters | The ECW reunion of Goldust and Yoshi Tatsu took place tonight, this time, accompanied by Hornswoggle. The team proved to be just as dominant as ever, defeating the former #1 Contenders here on SmackDown for their first tag team victory since the ECW days. Tatsu, Goldust and Hornswoggle celebrated, looking like the reform of the 'Oddities'. A wierdo, a Japanese guy and a leprechaun... how much more WWE entertainment could you possibly get?... Don't answer that... We then fade backstage. |
- Josh Mathews is backstage with the Women's Champion, Beth Phoenix. Mathews asks Phoenix if she feels threatened by the return of Melina. Phoenix says Melina is a good friend, and a definite contender for her title, but when the time comes, she will retain the Women's Championship, because she is The Glamazon. Suddenly, Michelle McCool and Layla jump her from behind. They squeal "Ooooh, I'm The Glamazon... roar!" in a mocking tone. McCool tells Phoenix to watch her back, and her mouth before LayCool leave and we fade to ringside.
Michelle McCool w/ Layla def. Melina | A very entertaining divas match here, actually. Both divas showed that they were definite title contenders, but in the end, a small help from Layla is all it took to keep Melina down. Melina lifted McCool up for a scoop slam, but Layla grabbed Melina's feet sending her backwards so McCool landed on top. Layla held down the feet of Melina but the referee couldn't see and McCool got the three count. LayCool left the ring with joy at MCCool's victory as Melina looked on in anger. McCool and Layla pretended to cry, mocking Melina, but Melina smiled. LayCool don't know why she's smiling... but they do now. Beth Phoenix runs down, grabs both divas by their hair and throws them into the ring. She enters and she drops McCool with the GlamSlam, as Melina drops Layla with the Sunset Split. LayCool roll out of the ring as Phoenix and Melina celebrate. We then fade to a commercial break. |
Commercial Break
- We return to see a promo package for this Monday's Raw as Rob Zombie will be a Guest Host for the night. We then return to SmackDown.
- Jack Swagger is seen barging into the office of General Manager, Theodore Long. He shouts, asking why he doesn't have a match. Long apologises and tells him that next week, he promises he will have a match. Swagger tells him he better do because he is the All-American American King of the Ring. Swagger asks who it will be against, and Long says... The Great Khali. The crowd pop as Swagger's jaw drops. Swagger says he doesn't deserve that and demands that he be taken out of the match. Long says that he asked for a match, and he got one. Swagger storms out as Long smiles. We then cut to ringside.
Edge & Big Show def. Chris Jericho & Wade Barrett | This was a fantastic Main Event, and we really got to see a lot of NXT Winner, Wade Barrett. He held his own against Edge, as we've seen before, but he also held his own against the Big Show. Barrett is a definite future star, no doubt about it. However, in the end, it was surprisingly Chris Jericho who got pinned when he was hit with a Spear by Edge. But that wasn't it, Edge laughed and tagged in Big Show, because when Jericho got up, he was met with a huge Knockout Punch. Big Show covered him and got the victory. Big Show and Edge celebrated their victory as Wade Barrett checked on Chris Jericho. But suddenly, something extremely unexpected happened... |
- The theme of Mr. Money in the Bank, Kofi Kingston hit to a gigantic pop. He runs out and slides in the ring before shoving his briefcase at the referee from the previous match. The referee asks Kingston if he's sure and he nods his head. The referee carries over the briefcase to ringside as Big Show, Edge and Wade Barrett look on. Kingston looks at Barrett and Barrett looks back. Edge and Big Show look at each other before grabbing Wade Barrett and throwing him over the top rope. Show and Edge then leaves the ring, leaving Jericho to Kingston.Tony Chimel announces that the following contest if for the World Heavyweight Championship and the crowd go mental. The bell ring...
World Heavyweight Championship - Kofi Kingston def. Chris Jericho [C] | Kingston does him 'boom' taunts, waiting for Jericho to get to his feet. Jericho gets up and turns around, right into a huge Trouble In Paradise as the crowd erupt. Kingston hooks the leg and the referee counts the three as to everyone's shock, we have a brand new World Heavyweight Champion! |
- Kofi Kingston cannot believe it, and neither can we. The referee hands the belt to Kingston and he immediately lifts it high above his head in disbelief. Kofi Kingston is our new World Heavyweight Champion, and has dethroned Chris Jericho. Kingston runs around with the belt, taunting to the WWE Universe and finally climbing the turnbuckle and raising the title belt high as SmackDown fades to an amazing close. The "Kingston!" chants can be heard as SmackDown's fades to black.

WRESTLING OBSERVER NEWS June 26th, 2010
- Apparently, the decision to make Kofi Kingston the World Heavyweight Champion has been made for quite a while, even to the extent that it was known already when he won the match when he would be cashing it in. Expect Kingston to have a healthy reign.
- According to an inside source, Matt Hardy is on the move to SmackDown to enter his feud with his brother, Jeff. Apparently, a trade will be made this Monday on Raw where Matt Hardy goes to SmackDown and a SmackDown superstar will got to Raw. Possible names include Shelton Benjamin, Shad Gaspard and Chris Masters amongst others.
- Brett DiBiase will officially be under contract with SmackDown from now on, likely teaming with his brother. However, Ted DiBiase is set for a rivalry with the Intercontinental Champion, Drew McIntyre, so Brett could be a manager for a while longer.
- Current plans call for The Undertaker to return nearer SummerSlam time to get ready for a lengthy feud running into WrestleMania 27. He will likely take part in a smaller feud to begin with before been shot into his WrestleMania feud around November/December. Many believe that the past two years haven't received enough build, with him taking on Shawn Michaels for no apparent reason at WrestleMania 25, and then the winner of the Royal Rumble, Chris Jericho last year, they want to get a solid storyline going for this time around.
- MVP and CM Punk's feud is set to run through to SummerSlam where it will culminate. Joey Mercury was introduced as another member of the Straight Edge Society on SmackDown. Apparently, Mercury has been signed with the WWE for a while now, but hasn't been brought in due to the storyline not calling for it. Next week, he will get his in-ring return to the company against MVP.
- It was announced via WWE.com that Rob Zombie will be attending Raw as Guest Host this week. As we reported a while back, Guest Hosts will be very rare and will be used sparingly, but according to an inside source, the plans for Zombie are for him to be somewhat of a replacement for Bret Hart who won't be attending the event to sell last Monday's events.
