looks as if it were a sucky custom, honestly It's not a custom. It's a standard "arena figure" from Mexico, unlicensed and sold outside of the arenas by street vendors. This style has been sort of phased out lately for people selling ones with more muscular bodies similar to the Jakks figures. This one has a pretty bad paintjob, but a lot of them are nicely painted and do look pretty good.

to appreciate this figure, you must be familiar with the lucha libre figures. look on ebay for lucha la parka and im sure you will see the other version of this figure and how poorly painted it is.
this figure is definitely one of the best i have seen and although not perfect, this is a great paintjob on this figure

I have a pretty nice collection of the exact type of arena figures shown here. You could say I'm familiar with them. All of the ones I have have nice paint, but I've seen a ton that do not. And I do have a La Parka (the old school outfit in black and white). The problem is, the paint varies greatly because it could've been anyone who painted them. Heck, I've even seen El Hijo Del Santo selling them at U.S. indy shows with professional paintjobs (and someone even has one that Santo says he painted himself). Highspots sells these and you can usually get ones with very good paintjobs from them (but not always).
