I don't get it. Why won't TNA seriously push Robert Roode? Some people find him boring, I don't. Even so, they could use some fresh faces. Since they have been on TV, as far as wrestlers that didn't make it big in WCW or the E, they've really only pushed:
Samoa Joe AJ Styles Abyss Christopher Daniels Monty Brown
Joe is at the top right now. Styles and Abyss have roles near the top, and Daniels is fine in the tag division now that XXX is back. And obviously Monty Brown is no longer in TNA. I think that they should have pushed Roode to this level.
They had him beat JJ a couple months ago. It looked like they were ready to push him to the next level. What happens? He goes back to more EY crap and looks like an idiot. Then he loses an opening match on TV to Sting. Maybe a feud with Sting would have helped elevate him even more.
This is sort of a pointless rant, but I think that Roode and Ms. Brooks are a good act together, and they deserve better. Thoughts?

Him joining Christian Colalation is enough of a push for him.

give it time, he just got off a program with Eric Young where he need to be established as , well, rude. In time I think he'll be holding the mid card title and perhaps the world. One thing I'm noticing is that these guys like Cage and especially Angle wont be around for long. The undercard gets the rub and it sets TNA's home grown talent up nicely if done this way.

I agree. Robert Roode is a great old-school heel that will make for a refreshing TNA Champion once the major WWE acquisitions are done passing the belt around.

Take it easy people, even if it takes time, it pays to be ROODE!

Here's the thing. The Eric Young/Robert Roode storyline was all because Robert Roode wanted the fan's support just like Eric has. Hence why Ms.Brooks forced EY to sign the contract which would try to make the fans get on his side. When they wouldn't he basically took it out on the EY. This was basically top ut Roode over the top as a heel & to come of well.. rude. Now he's steping into Team Cage some it's obvious him & AJ Styles will fued.. did you not see the end of iMPACT? They was fighting on the ropes. This will probally see either AJ go face or turn into a tweener. Now, once that's over I see Roode being pushed into the main event - might even turn face to fued with Cage.

I didn't see Impact this week so I didn't know that Roode is joining Christian's group. If so then that makes me happier. Thanks for those who filled me in.

Him joining Christian Colalation is enough of a push for him. Where he, and another TNA original (who happens to be a former World Champion), compete over who kisses an ex-WWE guy's ass better.

I wouldn't exactly say he's doing nothing. The guy is being pushed as he's on TV every week, it seems. They're not jobbing him usually either. Just because they don't make him world champ doesn't mean he's not being pushed.

Bobby Roode has the charisma of a potato and the mic skills of a Bobby Lashley...

Bobby Roode has the charisma of a potato and the mic skills of a Bobby Lashley... I dunno, man... ...I've been in the food business for nine years, and I've seen some pretty charismatic potatoes in my day.

He is far from nothing. He needs to be built up way more before a solid main event push. I enjoy the character a ton, but he just isn't ready.

Roode is classic, old school. He may not impress fans of spot-monkeys or hardcore nuts, or internet fans, but to people who have watched for years and enjoyed wrestlers like the Million $ Man, Mr. Perfect, Bret Hart, Rick Rude, and guys like that enjoy Roode as he is a modern version of them. I see him as a huge star in the not so distant future.

Give Roode time, he's progressing at a perfect pace right now.
