So I ran into Wal*Mart quick to buy some milk and other essentials as we gear up for a winter storm here in the Carolina's.
I go past the toy section to check out wrestlers and I see workers putting out new stock of toys. I asked the man who turned out to be the toy manager if there were any new Mattel WWE figures in the back. He proceeded to tell me they didn't sell any of them, (I can attest to this as the same flex force and superstar match ups and rings are just sitting there) and the shelf space went down from 6 feet to only 2. He then said they were ordered to drop ship any new WWE Mattel inventory to other stores, he shrugged his shoulders and said nobody's paying $10-15 bucks for action figures man, sorry
This sucks, I was just curious to see if anyone else out there is running into the same thing

I went to a Wal Mart by me at the beginning of the month and they had nothing WWE related. Only the toy UFC belts. I called that same Wal Mart this week and they only had the same mattel figures that have been on sale for a while now. None of the new figures that people have been finding (basic and elite series 2). So as of now, that Wal Mart is dead for me.

I havent run into it, but I could see it happening... Seems like the shelves are warming here in NC.
p.s. - is it snowing in Winston Salem? We are getting pretty good snow right now in Raleigh.

wow... i know one of my walmarts around here have most of the same figs they had from the beginning of the year...the other 2 stores only have a very few series 1 left...every single wal-mart i have been to is LOADED with flex force...they are NOT selling at all! They need to drop that line and replace it with something else

A Walmart near me in Salem had Basic 2, which is quite surprising, since all of Oregon absolutely sucks for getting new figure lines.

Yes it is snowing pretty good here in Winston right now juice...
My concern is that these new figures are not selling well at all, because the same is true at all the other stores as well, the series ones are just sitting at toys r us, the heritage stale at Target, the 2 packs collecting dust at Kmart
I think it is just us collectors buying them and not kids to play with them, its cheaper for the parents to buy them gi joe or avatar figures, just concerned because WWE and Mattel are looking at the BIG picture and Vince and company are going to want to see first months numbers and they are not going to be good

But they are DEAD WRONG! The reason Walmart doesnt get a bigger piece of the pie is b/c they fail to put new merch. out when it arrives. They want to sell off what is on the pegs before putting new stuff out. They dont know how to order and end up ordering too much of certain series and not enough of others. Their customer service is rude and ignorant. Besides, if it was true......why is it I can never find DC Universe?! Its always sold out.....at least the good characters. Its not just wrestling figures either. Look at how poorly Walmart went bezerk with Transformers 2 figures. They went ape crapand now have a HUGE over stock. They dont know what to do with it. And yet I see more and more new things put out on the shelves, they have been forced to put more TFs on endcaps. Learn how to manage your toy department before you make ignoarant blanket statements.

I wouldn't be surprised to see this happen here as well. These things just are not selling at the given price.

Hopefully this means they'll drop both the price and the Flex Force line. These figures are awesome but they're just too expensive.

I wouldn't be surprised to see this happen here as well. These things just are not selling at the given price. Damn. Cuz my stores cant keep the basic line in stock. Yes, my Walmart has 3 or 4 Heritage figures. Yes, my TRU's are all stockpiled in the repaint series. But Basic 1 sold and sold and sold. And now its gone. My Walmart never even put that out on the shelves. 2 Packs, Elite, EG, Flex Force.....those are shelf warmers.

I suppose it just depends on the location. This is just one of those areas where a lot of parents aren't going to shell out that much money for a single figure. I fully expect them to pull back a bit here once this shipment moves. They've had them here for 3 or 4 weeks and they still have a bigger portion of the entire shipment.

I was very surprised to see Entrance Greats HBK, Basic 2 CM Punk, and Rey at the Walmart I go to because they usually never have any new wrestling figures.

I hope sales go well, I do not want this line to go. But it is the same here in Ohio. Flex Force is warming the shelves to a toasty Hell like temp.
But the Wal Marts here have already completely gone through waves 1 and 2 of basic and 2 packs a number of times. And Elite is selling pretty strong.
I went figure Hunting in WV today and they were wiped out of everything, with just one Basic series 2 Punk left. But once again, plenty of flex force.
