Willbuh- I have no problems with you personally(or anyone really personally, because it's not worth one's effort to hate people on a forum). I was just merely defending my stance, and if you want to point out the flaws in people liking each character- and continue to dislike many things that I enjoy whole heartedly, it's alright so long as you don't try to bash me over the head with your opinion and agree with it. You state your mind, and do so in an adult, organized mature fashion. No problems with you. jSYN- not assuming, simply speaking to the fact that you seem to spend a vast majority of all given hours in a day here on WF...where everybody hates you. Why spend your time doing that, when you could be outdoors interacting with your 'real friends'? You say internet friends mean nothing, then why value the opinions of those who post around you? Are you only here to boost your own ridiculously inflated and misguided ego? It seems to me that for someone who hates the current way WWE uses many of their stars, and is generally disliked because he will not conduct himself in a civil manner in any disagreement- you sure do spend a hell of a lot of time on here trying to get yourself 'over'. G2- no problems with the way you tackled that argument, except for the fact that you calling us 'silly' and saying the ECW cartoon poster is something a group of 4th graders would do- we're all posting on a wrestling action figure forum. Surely this is not the place to take everything in life like it's the end-all-be-all. God forbid we have a bit of fun, drag ourselves out of normalcy and try to establish an enjoyable and humorous bond with our fellow forum members. How childish of us. And who says that I don't come on here for a laugh, because I know how well my opinions bug the crap out of people? I come on here at night, sometimes morning. I don't spend a "vast ammount of hours". I don't care what you think, if I did, I wouldn't be here still. You say "I have no friends"? That's funny. Because if I didn't, why don't you think I would be "trying to fit in" with you guys? Most people who don't have any friends. Try to make them on the internet, I couldn't care less, it's not below me, I just simply don't get it. I get accused wrongly of something that isn't true and when I don't care about what happens on the internet, it's considered "below me", no. Real friends are in real life, not on the internet. At the end of the day. Nobody knows nobody here, and all you see is a bunch of wrestling thoughts. So have fun being and assuming wrong, Mr. Wrong... Wrong!!! . Fixed. Oh, I'm not going to reply simply because I don't feel I ever need to continue and encourage your negativity. You are just a cancer to this place, and so long as you refuse to back down from your constant stance of 'My opinions are always right, yours hold no weight and you are wrong...' you will continue to be disliked. Not like you care, though. Having 'internet friends' is sometimes the greatest way to cultivate understanding of people a great distance away from you. If not for WF, I would never be able to make so many friends from the UK, Scotland, California, places far beyond my reach, etc...if you say none of that really matters- than why even continue to post here if all you see is 'random wrestling thoughts'...very few respect yours as it is, because all you do is praise your faves and trash all others. I can't wait until the day you wear out your welcome here...your act has gotten stale. Anyways, I won't attack anyone else here personally- it just seems like jSYN finds ways to make it an attack on each individual person's distinct point of view...that others not respecting or seeing his favorite stars as 'the Future of the industry!' lodges a wrench up his anus. Just had to address the fact that you coming and spewing hate upon the ECW thread for no real reason other than the fact that you try to be 'counter-popular culture' to make yourself look like an individual, just makes you look pathetic. I'm done here, and good day to all.

If you dont like whats on your tv, usually one of these things works. As for the lil ECW fad, if you like a show fine by all means watch and enjoy it. However the cartoon things and "groupings" or naming yourselves after wrestlers is really silly. I mean I remember my friends and I liking something so we all gave each other names from the show. Of course that was 1993 and I was in 4th grade....Ya see? I'm just having a hard time figuring out why it bothers people here so much. Why are they silly? Since we're on the internet and over 18 (some of us) we have to be hardlined, straight foward and serious about everything? Unno usually when it's something that doesn't effect me in any way, shape, or form, I just....unno...leave it alone. I wonder if in real life, if some of you guys(not specifically you G2) ever saw a group of guys all wearing shirts from a band that you think is terrible or overrated, would you walk over to them and tell that their favorite band sucks and that the only good part is the lead guitarist. Would you tell them that the shirts are silly and the idea that they all follow such a band is nothing short of a fad? I'm not so sure that you would. But this is the internet, so I guess that gives everyone the go ahead to fully bash and go against anything that gains any sort of organized popularity. Once again this was not directly at you G2. Pretty much everyone that feels the need to to against things unecessarily. I know you werent talkin bout me but honestly if I saw a group of guys constantly that lets say dressed in all Metallica shirts, after the first time Id let it slide but if I saw them every day dressed in the same thing, i may ask questions and start to wonder. Now dont get me wrong, I like Metallica and ECW but I just think that people take fads on here just a lil too far. Does it really bother me? No, in fact ive never brought it up or mentioned it until i was brought up here. Ill admit I look at Slappys sig all the time to see who's been added, in the end though It does still seem silly to me

In 7 months he has racked up almost 5,000 posts - I've been here since 2004 and have just recently gotten past 6,000. Now, if you do the math, JSYN has been here roughly 7 months with that account, if you take his number of posts and divide them by the number of months he has been here you'll find, on average he has 678 posts per month. AAAAAAAAAAND for those playing at home, that's about twenty two posts per day. ...but he doesn't spend a lot of time here, at all.

ECW is probably the worst of WWE shows. They put talent on there no one really cares about, they really don't do anything with them until 'due time'. There's nothing to keep interested...and Benoit pretty much killed himself and his family once he got placed on the show. (that's the reason i'm sticking to his situation anyway...ECW does that to people)
THEREFOR, fans can like crappy shows and make a thing on it and enjoy it if they want to. It's like the music fans that listen to the most obscure crap around just because no one else has heard of it and they want to make it feel 'their own'.
ECW is a glorified Sunday Night Heat/Velocity (is that even on anymore?) If it were good and kept interesting, the show wouldn't be getting canceled. Anyway..who cares, let people have their fun.

While I severely disagree with you- I respect that you're not attacking the group of peopel who enjoy the product, rather the product itself. I've always respected how you approach your criticisms, and although I really couldn't feel any more strongly toward the contrary to your held beliefs- I enjoy how you go about expressing it. First, I'll say it's a weak point saying they only put people there they do not care about. ECW was used as a place to introduce all of these future superstars to the world: Evan Bourne CM Punk Jack Swagger Sheamus Tyson Kidd & DH Smith(well, kinda on DH) Yoshi Tatsu Trent Baretta Caylen Croft as well as the rebirth(and redirection) of- Mark Henry Matt Hardy Hurricane Ezekiel Jackson John Morrison Matt Striker Zack Ryder Kozlov The Miz Goldust Tommy Dreamer Christian Shelton Benjamin It's a brand where careers previously thought to be extinct or nearing their time of usefulness go to receive resurrection. It's a breeding ground, and a stage of introduction and testing the waters for new breakout talents. In no way, shape or form is it just 'a graveyard' that they throw guys into they don't know what to do with. The RAW writers could most definitely take a page from their book in the development of the lower-card feuds, the idea of a talk show that actually works in getting a heel host heat, having a championship that is regularly defended on the show as well as at PPVs in 20-minute long bouts of epic proportion...and the idea that not all characters on the show have to be bland, repetitive body builder characters. The Benoit statement is completely irrelevant and doesn't even warrant a reply- because I'm sure none of us will ever know why one does that. My guess is a lifetime of abusing pain killers, or steroids- in conjunction with brain damage from concussions and numerous dangerous spots that wear one's body...as well as an unstable psyche to begin with and a short fuse that finally blew. But yeah, no- your whole idea of being moved to the ECW brand totally makes more sense. That makes everyone homicidal lunatics. It isn't just 'our own', anyone who enjoys ECW is welcome to come discuss the show as it airs each Tuesday night. Anyone can be a Threadhead, we don't discriminate or insult anyone in the process of our having fun. You calling it a crap show is your opinion- and in all honesty, you're to tell me that Sunday Night HEAT and Velocity weren't some of the best wrestling shows in-ring quality wise of the late 90's and early 00's?? Did you never watch those? They lacked the storylines ongoing that ECW currently has- as well as a consistent enough roster to make you invest in each and every person...ECW and their superstars have gotten me to care about each and every guy on the roster in one way or another- from Tyler Reks and Archer(get annoyed by, want to pummel with peaches) to Byron Saxton and Savannah(think they have astonishing potential and can be in the company for years to come in their roles) that not many other 'lower level' shows have ever achieved. Also, noone ever said ECW is getting cancelled- just possibly rebranded because ECW no longer is home to any of the old ECW originals, features very few Extreme matches, and SyFy demands a more 'Sci-Fi-ey' product from the WWE. So they will probably just rename the brand in some way- which I am all for, so long as it doesn't change the show's direction entirely. Once again, I am not mad at you for the way you approached your side of the argument, because you even said at the end 'let them enjoy it anyway', because you realize that a large collection of people do see the bright side of, and really love the show just as it is. ECW pulls in a solid rating each week, it's developed a devoted and consistent following, and although you're not enamored by it- it doesn't destroy your mental being seeing others enjoy it. I respect you for realizing that.

I said that, for it to be a joke. I don't actually think Benoit killed himself over something as small as that. Nor do I care why he did it in the first place, I just hope that a Benoit discussion isn't held because of this response.
I used to watch Sunday Night Heat all the time..well, not all the time, that'd be horrible. I watched it occasionally. Back 'then' in the early months of 99...they had some great matches . Kane vs Acolytes and some other decent matches such as that. I figure they were mostly there as there wasn't a 'smackdown' show yet, and they had to do something with talent that weren't going to be featured on the show (Raw). Of course, Austin/McMahon would be all over the place and I loved it.
I think the reason people are getting annoyed with you guys, just based off your response above, is because you come off sounding like some sort of forum cult, which is ridiculous. "Come here, discuss wrestling, be it your happy place". That's cool, but why not just leave ECW talk in the ECW topic? Why come out of that topic, talk about how happy you are in another topic with other wrestling fans who don't feel as passionate as you do about the show? It's cool that you like it and enjoy talking about ECW, but keep it there. If not, you're just going to sound ridiculous and people will probably spam the topic and just make what you 'like so much' annoying to talk about on a favorite wrestling forum.

Well, if we're a cult- than I sure as hell don't mind hacking off my hair and drinking some Kool-Aid. It's far more enjoyable than the anger and hate that clouds the RAW thread at times, and basically every one that devolves into a 'TNA vs. WWE' 'Jericho vs. ____' or 'jSYN vs. the World' thread...so I will keep my love and enjoyment for that thread in that thread. If only others could keep their dislike for us as a group to themselves, because it's never antagonized by any of us.
I know you were kidding on the part of Benoit, that's why I turned the last statement of my reply paragraph into a joke as well. We all know that it was really WWE catering services switching from real Mayo to Miracle Whip that sent him off the deep end.
Sunday Heat, Velocity, Jakked/Metal and Livewire were always some of my favorite programs as a younger fan watching WWE. Those showcased more fast-paced and exciting matches, and while not as storyline driven, they let me see the talents of Kai En Tai, Jamie Noble, London, Akio, K-Kwik, Hurricane, Raven, Perry Saturn, Malenko and Ultimo Dragon during their WWE stint that I may never have otherwise seen on the two major shows.
Once again, we don't see ourselves as a cult- like it's some crazy, evil thing offering everyone of the world a 'free yourself of pain pill'. More or less just like a family that doesn't argue at Thanksgiving dinner, but instead gives you healthy amounts of Pumpkin pie and entertaining modded comical .gif's of brilliance.

That's true. All the hate for the shows people watch weekly is annoying. Which is why people get annoyed at me for watching TNA. I actually like the show, people find that to be a hard idea to handle. "You like the show? You must be a mark, how can you like the Nasty Boys, my god" None of that even compares to how much WWE fans hate their own show, not only that, they get bored of hating their own show, and then bash TNA because they're bored of bashing their own show..and need something to to bitch about.
Cult is the wrong word. Back awhile ago, there was a group on here that had all the admins and mods in some made-up group name they named themselves and thought they were 'the shit' of WFIGS...Although, i'm sure it was just a joke, it became annoying to read their posts, when most of them had some stupid inside joke no one ever understood unless you were part of 'the group'

I don't feel that how much we like a certain show should dictacte where we're allowed to talk about it. Us calling it a happy place is just to state that the majority of us(very much unlike the Raw thread) actually really enjoy the show. Thus, the thread is usually full of positivity on a weekly basis. People call it a "cult" because they choose to see it that way.

Didn't even notice it..or I did, but didn't care. But this is a really dumb argument. I stated my points the best I could. I'm not saying you're different as fans, you guys come off in a strange way to others. If you like the show, fantastic. If you want sigs and crazy stuff, fantastic. If you come out and say "post there because it's happy"...all over a topic, such as this, and a few others (if you have) it becomes quite annoying to listen you. I'm sure you guys stated your argument in the 3 pages before this.
WWE is kind of disappointing. I don't like the ECW show, because it's not my type of entertainment. Then again, half of whatever on WWE hasn't really caught my interest. yet I keep watching....TNA got me back into wrestling, and now i'm posting back on here trying to keep positive thoughts on wrestling, but people overwhelm each other with crazy negativity.

To each his own, Critic...to each his own.
(Also- there is no TNA thread, just to let you know...either 'TNA Boardwhore'? Or maybe 'iMPACT ThreadHead' would work better?)
Once again, I have absolutely no problems with you loving TNA. If I had any problems with the TNA product- I would talk openly and directly about how I dislike how Dixie or Hogan are managing things...not attack you. I'm glad you see the bright side in things, even ones such as the Nasty Boys. If you're a true fan of TNA, I'm glad at least you enjoy a product of modern day wrestling. Too many people come on here just to piss, moan and spew hate.
Positivity will breed more positivity. More power to you, I won't ever cut down your views.

All I know is I enjoy everything about ECW, sans Archer and Reks, and other people on here enjoy it. Everyone always complains on here about how there's hardly ever any wrestling on RAW and Impact, yet there's an hour long show with the stars of tomorrow facing one another in solid 8-20 minute Matches every week and people for some reason don't like it, and then b at people who have fun with it. Everyone know "Jericho is God" is a joke, yet people take it too seriously, and then that's when it gets to people hating or loving Jericho.
Many of us like ECW, we like to have fun with the love for ECW we share. The fact that jSYN thinks we like ECW or a certain Superstar because our Username is under a cartoonists' rendering of them is ridiculous. I was the first person to say I liked Abraham Washington after his WWE debut with the Bellas, heck, I was the first one to call him A-Wash and that's stuck with him. If I didn't like A-Wash, or Hurricane, or Christian I would say about them what I say about Hornswoggle every week in the RAW Thread. Nothing's said of the people who come in to the weekly RAW Thread's, when they're basically us just without the funny Sig's and such.
The thing that's most hilarious to me is that jSYN watches Superstars every week, praises the show, yet ECW is some weird thing that needs to be shot because RAW's misuesd Mid-carders are more entertaining than established veterans and tommorow's stars. I won't doubt that I want to see the Triple Threat from this week on Superstars, but that's not what I'm referring to. I'm talking about RAW's Mid-card in general, not one instance in a Match I'm going to look for on YouTube. I agree with Dan88, that SmackDown is my favorite WWE show, but ECW only lacks due to small things, unlike RAW which not last Monday's, but usually is miles away from how good ECW and SmackDown were/are.

Not trying to argue with you man. I have the same respect that that Future has for you and the way you describe how you feel. While I am quoting you, my rebuttles are mostly to others who more than likely know that I'm addressing them.

Aww, true, but hopefully just having threadhead name will have some positive 'liking' for the actual product. Even though there is no thread.
...If TNA fails, I'll probably be in the same place i was a month ago. Not caring about anything wrestling related. There's just a 'feel' to it I like. Nothing more I can say.
