Well, they're selling like hotcakes at 2 Kmarts, 1 Target, 1 Toys R Us, and 3 Wal-marts in my town.

Completely agree man. I'll never get the diehard Jakks fans who love those body styles. They were nowhere near even close to being proportionate to an actual human body. For the sake of argument I threw comparisons of Edge and Bourne together. Now tell me everyone, who looks more true to the real life counterpart? I mean, it looks like Jakks put Edge in a Snuggie. Now come on Jakks fans, don't ignore this post. And I'm still waiting for someone to show me a REAL person who looks like a RA figure.

I have to agree with you. Mattel figures are absolutely horrible. excuse me? mattel sucks? so i assum you think jakks is good ha ha ha i cant ever say that with a streight face. mattel dominates jakks any day any time. i mean just look at some comparison pics: Mark Henry: Edge(id say mattel scan is off but not as much as jakks): and lastly CM Punk: I cant even beleive this figure:

i prefer the mattel figures overall, but i still prefer the jakks headscans. A lot of headscans were spot on (although some were indeed, terrible)

Elite figures are better than 97% of what Jakks put out, so what, its a sale?
get over it

Wow I thought something like this would happen but I could not imagine it happened so soon. Local K-Mart has Mattel's figures at 25% off and the store is drowning in those figs. Well this is what happens when you make the figures that look like crossbreed line between WWE and Will and Grace show.... poor Titans.

Don't like don't buy, it's as simple as that. I for one love the Mattel figs but plan on only collecting select figs and not getting as crazy as I was with the Jakks figs which is funny cause most of the Jakks figs weren't worth it in comparison to the detail Mattel put forth with their Elite line. I'll admit that some of Mattel's figs aren't perfect but neither were Jakks when they started. Also, in my area figs are flying off of the shelves, save for the Elite series and some 2packs (Largely due to price I assume). I have yet to see any Basics or Heritage series out in my area.
Jakks went from BCA to RA and DA in the course of how many years? Mattel is in it's first year and it's already looking good for them.

For the most part, the people who are the biggest critics of Mattel are kids who don't have enough money to start their collections over, and they are creating these threads so someone gives them some attention because they are lacking it at home. Seriously guys...just grow up.

I really could care less if someone wants to collect Jakks over Mattel, spend your money how you want but there is no way anyone can honestly say that RA bodies were better than Basic bodies. credit Epic Figs for the Jakks beth pic.

People here are bashing Jakks but besides great detail and some good figures like Beth, Santino, Mark Henry, Miz, the upcoming Mickie, etc, other Mattel figures like Cena, HHH, Kofi, Batista and Edge look terrible. I'm not saying all Mattel is bad. Some are good as mentioned above and some are terrible like Morrison's headsculpt and Swagger. Jakks went downhill on us in mid 2008 but before that, mostly produced good work. I don't live in the US but whenever Jakks releases new stuff, certain figures like Rey, Jeff Hardy, Cena would be sold out in a few days at toys r us .com But with Mattel, everything is still in stock on the site! U tell me whether it's just over production of figures or not. You want pics? I got pics. I am buying some Mattel stuff like Santino/Beth but won't be collecting as intensively as before. Mattel's too large shoulder joint, weird thighs and several of their torsos turn me off.

I'm starting to belive this as well and starting to think The WWE made a huge mistake by dropping jakks. Here in Atlanta I have NO problem finding any figure at any chain store(except for entrance HBK). Theyre just not selling......But with Jakks U had to be at TRU the morning they stocked to get what you wanted. I dont know if its the price point...or if its the incompatibility with jakks figures or or people not wanting to restart their collection..OR if its just the 1st lineups...BUT SOMETHING IS WRONG. I mean the figures are cool and all...theyre very detailed and seem in scale.....coming from someone who has thousands of jakks figs I just cant find the drive and excitement for Mattels but i am looking forward to the TNA line and see what more jakks has to offer. Maybe mattel shoulda started with more guys that havent had figs 1st instead of Cena, Taker, HHH and other guys that even the most casual WWE figure collector has several of......

Mattel gave Rey far too long legs.
And Jeff's shirt came from his Elite line, more expensive than basic RA figs.
Off-topic: Even if they came out with a crap Jeff Hardy, people would still snap them up like hot cakes. Lol.
