If your Kmart is the only one doing a 25% off sale, then I think a better tittle for this post is "My Kmart fell flat on it's face."

I respect everybody's opinions, but I just don't get the whole "Jakks sucks vs Mattel rules" and vice versa attitudes... I collected Jakks and now I'm getting some Mattel figs too, and even though Mattels are very nice, I still love my Jakks figs. I know a lot of this general attitude came from their (Jakk's) big quality drop in the recent past, but you can't deny they did a lot of good stuff for a long time. Why can't most of the people (at least from the general sensation in this forum) migrate from Jakks to Mattel without totally hating on the "ex"? It's really odd... It's not odd at all. For as big of a license as the WWE was, Jakks quality was always sub-par compared to other major toy companies with big licenses. The Jakks product was always mediocre at best. The bodies were mostly downright bad. It's really that simple. I would still like a mod to explain to me how I received a 75% warning level for defending Mattel in the Mattel forums, and be deemed a troll. Yet guys like this, can start up just ridiculous threads , just to cause trouble. Reasons like this are the reason many of the other action figure boards look at these forums as a kindergarten class.

Wow I thought something like this would happen but I could not imagine it happened so soon. Local K-Mart has Mattel's figures at 25% off and the store is drowning in those figs. Well this is what happens when you make the figures that look like crossbreed line between WWE and Will and Grace show.

This is ridiculous. How could you say that Jakks made bad RA bodies? Hell, they are even better than most of the bodies that Mattel has made (their HHH and Cena torso comes to mind). Out of the 8 or so local WWE collectors i've asked here in my country, only one likes Mattel so far. Mattel has great detail but that's about it. Jakks made great work before they went slip-shod on us in mid 2008. Just look at figures like Ultimate Warrior, Rey, Vader, Papa Shango, Stone Cold, etc.

I don't personally see Jakks RA bodies as 'good' period. They're too bulky, and completely unrealistic.
Show me someone who looks like a "Ruthless Agression" figure, please.

The figure makes him seem 200 pounds heavier than he really is.

For what it's worth last time I was at TRU there was a dad there with his two sons looking for Jakks WWE stuff. The kids didn't like the look of the Mattel toys. I explained to the dad about what happened with Jakks and how well the Mattel stuff seems to be selling and the effort Mattel is putting into the line. Effort and detail do not matter to 8 year olds.

I'll never get the diehard Jakks fans who love those body styles. They were nowhere near even close to being proportionate to an actual human body.

Nobody could ever convince me that Jakks had the better body parts. It was like buying Masters of the Universe figures.

And if they do its the crappy repaint series.

For the sake of argument I threw comparisons of Edge and Bourne together. Now tell me everyone, who looks more true to the real life counterpart? I mean, it looks like Jakks put Edge in a Snuggie.

I wish we had the overstocking problem around here. I can barely find the figures because they're always sold out. If your Kmart is the only one doing a 25% off sale, then I think a better tittle for this post is "My Kmart fell flat on it's face." That, my friend, was an epic burn.
