Both companies have their strengths and weaknesses. Mattel has the scale and the details but I just don't think they look realistic. They look like regular people off the street, not larger than life wrestlers. Jakks wasn't/isn't perfect but I still prefer them by far to what Mattel has been offering. As far as the head scans. Yeah, Jakks turned out some crappy scans like the pics that somebody recently posted. But that was less than a dozen out of hundreds of figures over the years. Mattel is at about 50% hit and 50% miss right now with their heads (and that's even using the same company that Jakks went through and having years of Jakks experience to look at and research). Very true and very much on point. Bravo!

It is threads like this that have me visiting this place less and less. I do not mean any disrespect to you Sir but since you insist on not visiting this thread allow me to ask you. Do you mean you are going to accept that guy in your signature as your savior and let him shave your head? It is people like CM Punk and never ending soap opera that Started with Edge and now continues to embarrassing elimination of Khali during the Royal Rumble that started turning me away from the sport. I watch once in three weeks now and by now I have eliminated all the current roster from my collection leaving only the legends.

Most of the roster these days, aren't huge guys jacked up on steroids, I don't know if you've noticed that or not. I can understand liking a company you've gotten used to for years, and coming to be pretty much biased to what you're money had been spent on for all of that time, but if Mattel is not realistic to you, I implore you to go back a few pages and look at comparison pictures of actual wrestlers, and their Mattel and Jakks counterparts.

have to disagree, jakks had some hits but also had some misses. a few examples imo. Seriously that Finley scan always make me think he is taking the world's largest dump. lol I think Jakks' Santino scan was pretty good, for an "earlier" Santino...it was based more off his first few appearances which was in-accurate on most of his figures... The Ted DiBiase scan is great though! Mattel's is better, but I never had any problem with Jakks' one at all... Dreamer is 50/50, its more of a "DA" style headscan anyway... I think that Finlay is better/more realistic than his first one, its the proper size too. Maybe he just has too many divets in his chin... Palumbo was horrible. I'll give you that... Bourne is great...although similar to Ted. Its the mouth expression that throws them off a little. Mattel's isn't better though.... That DA Cody was horrendous as well. But that is a very small percentage compared to the amazing scans Jakks has consistently put out there. For the record, I think Edge's RA 29 (and on) scan is one of their best likenesses.

Personally I think Cody is on something. I remember him being very scrawny during the middle of last year and now he looks much larger (almost double the size) than I remember him being.

And Morrison has been on a few of the pharmacy/steroids lists as well as suspended for buying drugs online.

The first pic is from the Rumble, the second pic is from Early-Mid 2009. If anything, it looks like he got a little more lean. EDIT: And as for Morrison, go back and look at his days in MNM as compared to now. He is a LOT smaller right now, than we was back then. I didn't think my little comment was going to stir up such BS.

Well maybe it's been a little longer than mid last year as I don't watch the Modern WWE progamming that often. But the guy was a toothpick. Now his arms & legs are much bigger than I remember them being.

Now his arms & legs are much bigger than I remember them being. Really? Because I'm still not seeing it, this was back when he was teaming with Holly, and he still looks basically the same to me. Edit: In fact, in his debut match in '07 he weighed 232 pounds, now he's 223.

OK maybe not bigger but he looks much different than I remember him. So maybe I'm wrong. Clearly he got much more ripped, but like I said I don't really watch modern wrestling much anymore (Mainly I flip and if there's one of the few guys I like on I'll watch it) And the few times I've seen him wrestle lately it looked like he belonged in the ring with guys like HHH & HBK, but the last time I really watched him in the ring before that was around the time he was teaming with Holly as tag champions and he looked very scrawny compared to everyone else.

I really don't see how he's 'ripped' - I'm sure a couple of years in the gym helped him get more defined, and he dropped a little weight - but he's still the same basic size he's always been. Back when he was teaming with Holly, you had him up against a big guy with Lance Cade, of course he'll look smaller. Now he's in there with smaller guys like Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne, so he might come off being a little bigger, but he isn't.

Ripped doesn't mean bigger. It means he looks more defined than he did back then. Sure he could still be the same size, but clearly his body looks better now than it did back then.

Perhaps he just works out more now?
He's totally not double the size he used to be, and just because he looks better 2-3 years after he debuted doesn't mean he is on anything.

I already agreed with that about 2 posts ago. Here - "OK maybe not bigger but he looks much different than I remember him. So maybe I'm wrong." I said maybe I was wrong, but reading what I typed I guess you could have misunderstood that.

to be fair to Rhodes,it's possible his dormant "Dusty-Gene's" have started to kick in,but rather than hit him in the belly-butt area,he's grown in the arms and legs...
