Long story short, I've got a friend in Europe that once collected, but kinda grew out of it. Being the complete dork I am, I wanted to ask if he could send 'em my way, and imagine my surprise when he suggested that very thing. After giving me a light jab about it costing him 11.78 of his own English pounds (his direct quote: In total i had TO PAY £11.78 OF MY OWN ENGLISH POUNDS!!! £11SQUID!!! THATS LIKE 2HOURS PAY MAN.... haha but seriously dude the stuffs on the way and it was my pleasure...), he sent it my way.
This was my first over-seas mailing, so I'm not sure if this is a standard thing, but some custom or customs agent somewhere tore this thing up. Not only did the package arrive to me bent and crumpled, there was a huge gash in it held together by tape! I hope that, somewhere, a US or GB customs agent can't sleep at night knowing that they ripped open and searched this thing like my friend was smuggling drugs to me. I mean...damn, no wonder it took a full two and a half weeks to get here. I'm just thankful that all the jostling and searching and rummaging around didn't damage the goods. With a 'lil soap and water, I got 'em looking in tip-top shape. Well, mostly.
As a gift, I love these 'lil guys. I'm not an old-school collector (I actually thought he'd be sending me things like RA's and TTL's and such), but the thought was there and the figures were more than enough to have me geek out when I finally opened the package. Sorry for the pic quality, but my digital's on the fritz and I took these with my cell. Anyway...
