Seriously. I can't believe people are praising this figure of Roddy Piper whom with the exception of the ring attire LOOKS NOTHING LIKE PIPER!! Mattel adds bagpipes and ever body starts a circle-jerk. This insane Mattel love is getting silly. You're so right. I quit buying figures from now on, Thanks!  Looks great. I just wish they came with the same base as the rest so they could be displayed better. |

That is a great fig. I love all of the clothe accessories and his bagpipe is nice. I never seen one made so that is cool.

I have to agree with you. The scan is downright terrible. I think some of the problem may be because the skin tone on the face is painted on instead of being the 'natural' plastic. The face on the Austin proto doesn't look as good as the finished one does. Even so, I think it's good. |

Everything but the scan gets a 10/10. The scan gets a 6/10.
Personnally mattels scans In most cases beat jakks. However they are way too cartoony. Especially on this one.

That is a thing of beauty. And I've been dying to see this figures since TRU had it listed for preorder on Jan 1st. I can tell you now I'll probably be getting 4 of this figure.
And June I try to avoid the whole Jakks vs Mattel cr@p, but this figure is the best looking Piper I've ever seen. That face looks 100% like Hot Rod and is much better than either of Jakks short haired Piper scans.

I'm sorry I see nothing cartoony about that scan. I see it and all can I see is Piper vs Snuka at MSG when Piper was beating Superfly with his belt. If the figure comes out looking as nice as the proto this will be my all-time favorite wrestling figure...and it'll be hard pressed for anything to beat it.
