Does someone know when did Slaughter use the attire from his legend figure.

He wore it againist the Iron Sheik during a match at MSG on 5/21/1984. Im pretty damn sure than match is on the superstars of the 80s dvd. But here is the only video i could find with him in it.

Thanks Alot, Sluaghter was Awesome. Mil Mascaras was part of the WWF, I had no Idea. Neither did i until a few years ago. I read it in a WWE magazine featuring Lucha Libre. Never have actually seen a match from that run though. No problem about the Slaughter attire. I love that gear. Im happy Mattel isn't just doing the really iconic gear. We are getting some real old school stuff. |

That attire would be much better. Nah, that was just his '90s outfit. He's had a great carreer before that, so it's nice to have him in an older attire. |

I like that they did something different and went with an older Slaughter attire. I'm sure we'll get his more recent attire as well though.

As a longtime fan of Slaughter's, I love the attire. Plus, I think it bodes well for the line that Mattel is researching the past to give us some rather unique attires we haven't had previously through Jakks. I posted this in another thread, but part of the reason I'm so pleased with the look is because it represents the first Sarge I saw on the Apter mags and cable TV when I was a kid. In fact, I believe this issue was probably only the 10th wrestling mag I'd ever bought to that point. Today's fans may not understand, but the mags used to be a huge part of the industry to further storylines and strengthen the kayfabe code in the industry. Those mags really added to the magic and helped me suspend disbelief.  |

I prefer his later attire as I got into wrestling when he was doing the Iraqi thing, and shortly after that he started the awfully cheesy "I love my country!" vignettes and the tag team with Hacksaw. But I probably wouldn't be buying a Sarge figure either way (I own the BnB 6 one, but only because I bought them as a full set), so I think it's cool for the Slaughter collectors to get him in a previously unreleased outfit.

I would have liked to see him in his camo outfit since thats the slaughter I grew up with but I think its really awesome that Mattel is going out of their way to give us unique attires for the legends. I will still be buying it!

I had tons of old PWI and other wrestling mags from the 80s..I hope we get THAT Dibiase eventually as well...I liked him sooo much more during the mid south run with Dr Death. He was a true badass and was stone cold before there was a Stone Cold. lol |
