God why do you people take figures so seriously? All they are for me is money and a show piece and a hobby. It's nothing to stress and curse about. You get this worked up over toys, good luck trying to get into a relationship or something, you'd be so over worked.

well the possibility of getting a 6 sided RSR isn't impossible. remember when WWE went into HD and had the HD stage? we still saw the old Raw stage with the Raw arena and they never really did an HD stage nor silver posts with the exception of BNB because it takes less effort. The stage TNA has now is a bit to difficult to market because its just walls with LED tubes, TNA logos, a ramp and a titantron screen. a Tunnel stage is a bit more easier and more fun to have with a TNA collection because TNA is known for having tunnel stages and the 6 sided ring so it only makes sense for Jakks to market that. with the changes in TNA it wouldn't make any sense for them to go out of their way to produce and market an out dated product. I highly doubt a 6 sided RSR will see the light of day, they'll just reproduce the WWE one with a TNA skirt and call it a day. when will you just leave the jakks thread and call it a day?

I guess I don't understand if they are reusing molds and such why did they only have the time to put together one set of protos for BOTH toy fairs? Jakks doesn't seem that interested in this line and hasn't seemed that interested in pleasing the wrestling collectors over the past year or so. Did I buy a bunch of Jakks? you bet, but did I have anything else to choose from for WWE figures? nope. Bottom line is the figures are lack luster, out of scale, lacking designs, and just appears Jakks has ZERO pride in their work. That being said why continue to support a company that doesn't give a poop about its customers or its product? Yea, JAKKS didnt care about us, that's why we always had near direct connections with Jeremy and the team. We always had WF Interviews. They gave us Sabu when we begged for it, as well as alot of others in the Classics. Aww Sabu. Still one of my favorite figs of all time.

Jakks gave us break-away tables, Huge ladders, dumpsters, 1/500Belts kick Mattel's ass'. Detailed belts that aren't 1/500. Hell Mattel doesn't even have belts yet. JAKKS took care of us. And everyone turned their back's on them. Some of the greatest Classics ever, as well as current roster. RSR was a instant hit, and sold plenty of units. It ssad that everyone hates JAKKS, yet they are using their RSR for their Mattel figs, aswell as the JAKKS fig belts. It's not cut and dry, JAKKS SUX NO JAKKS RULZ, that's childish. Jakks did some great things in their time. CS8 Hollywood Hogan is out of this world awesome. I still have the original RSR from 2005 (?) , I was even the first one to find it on these boards and take pics for everyone, and I still use it for display. It's incredible work. I praise Jakks when they put effort into something. I bash them when they cheap out or try to pass off unpainted BCA-era weapons as "deluxe". I know the people on Mattel's jock are irritating, but Mattel are showing a ton of effort so early into the line, that's why people are excited. We're not used to things like "character specific molds" or "effort" on a consistent basis. They're not perfect either. Jakks usually has them beat in regards to heads and textured paint apps. I mean even the packaging Mattel uses has facts and mini bios on the regular lines as well as the upcoming Legends line. With CS, we'd get some half-assed bio with Lance Storm's new finishing move, The Doomsday Device. It's not a hate of Jakks, it's a hate of Jakks being lazy. We KNOW they can do better. And we know they do certain things right. They just have to keep it going on a regular basis.

Jakks has made tons of history in the figure world. No question about it, and I love my Jakks collection(it's never getting sold, that's for damn sure). However, the way this world works(and it's unfortunate) is with the 'What have you done for me lately?' attitude.
Jakks slacked like crazy with WWE at the end, giving us only a handful of good figures, and yes that is understandable as the contract is over, so why bother. I understand that and tbh, expected it.
However, now that they are reusing parts(which isn't that bad) and can't even get all their protos out there for Toyfair, is just... It seems just lazy.
I don't hate Jakks, they are kind of like an older wrestler at this point, I respect the hell out of what they have done, but, I'd rather watch Chris Jericho wrestle than Hulk Hogan.
Let's just hope Jakks can pull a Steamboat and show us they still have something left.

Jakks can't do steamboat because Mattel is making him. but I respect EVERYTHING jakks has done and I still enjoy how the TNA figures look. if AJ has some bulky arms or is a bit tall, i really don't care, its the drastic things that bug me like if Rey Mysterio is as tall as kevin nash etc. I don't know about other people but I have a mattel edge and i have it next to the mattel John cena and I actually hate how tall edge looks compared to cena, whether it be realistic or not. I also dont like how the legs for mattel figures are closer together. I still like to play with my figures and I also do animations and with both of those things its pretty difficult or it just looks awkward when doing a move.

Here's what I don't get...the Stockholm Syndrome from Jakks fans who just CAN'T admit that while Jakks DID good work for 10 years, that Mattel has put out a better product. Better in scale, proportions, and detail. Are there QC issues, sure. Just like ECW Punk and so many others from Jakks, so that argument doesn't fly with me. They have also already put up a Steamboat proto, and Jakks didn't give us that one after 10 years of asking for it(even though they did give us Sabu, like earlier stated). Mattel showed us the protos at Toy Fair that blew Jakks PICTURES in mock-up packaging away. Mattel clearly gets the gold star for effort. I liked Jakks figures and I want TNA and UFC figures, and I DO hope their efforts improve, because as a REALISTIC, OBJECTIVE consumer, I will not pay for garbage when I can pick up QUALITY figs from Mattel. Everyone says "give them a chance". If they truly are a revolutionary and a front-runner for a decade, how much longer a chance do they need? They aren't curing cancer, they're repainting figures that are shown as out of scale or with the wrong parts. They've had a year to make new molds, find the right parts for Bubba Ray's fat ass, or at least put together some protos, so they don't look so second rate at Toy Fair. I'm certain the majority of the "hate" for the TNA like on here is due to the fact that Jakks has spent the last year putting together crap protos and showing little to no effort (tell me I'm wrong) with their TNA line. So, knock my opinion, tell me again how Jakks did great except the last year the did WWE figs, tell me (even after you've seen the half-assed TNA crap at Toy Fair) about contracts and economics being why the dropped the ball and shortchanged collectors on what we were promised, tell us how they revolutionized wrestling figures, but for the LOVE OF GOD, have the intellectual honesty to at the very least admit to yourself that for OVER A YEAR Jakks track record and product has sucked. This is what concerns a lot of people. I'm done, sorry for the toy thesis. LOL No apology needed, (at least to me) as your post sums up how I feel about the whole thing to. Like jfinamore, I've had to self-learn how to do fixups on RA figures (and some DAS) to have more accurate figures (again, to me) Besides that, many figures that came out were not my cup of tea, and all I did was save money. With this paltry ToyFair showing, Lord only knows what Jakks has in store to entice my dollar their way...

I for one have collected pretty much almost every line off WWE Jakks action figures since their first BCA's and while they have as of late dropped the ball I can't forget all the great figs they've produced over the years. With that said, as of now, I'm done with Jakks (Maybe except for the NWA Classics) as I pretty much stopped collecting for a year or more when they lost their WWE contract cause of the lack of effort put forth. From what I've seen with their TNA line, I'm not liking it at all. I got rid of my DA collection cause I preferred RA's and it seems that the only DETAILED Jakks RA's we'll be getting are the NWA Classic line (Awesome if they do it right). I highly doubt the 4 packs reminiscent to the TTL 4 packs will be greatly detailed. Although RA MCMG would be awesome.
As for Mattel. I love what they've done so far. I've said this time and time again. They're not perfect and neither was Jakks when they started, but you have to admit that for Mattel's first outing they've put forth great effort and an excellent product that I hope can only get better. It took Jakks years to get to where they are so I can only imagine the future improvement possibilities with Mattel. Hopefully Jakks can improve, but I'm not holding my breathe....although it looked like that Brother Ray fig was holding his while sucking in his gut LOL

I think I got Kidd/Natalya, IE Goldust, Wrestlemania CS 3 pack, and the first 2 Christian figures, that's it. And UFC 0 and 1. So the only sh*tty ones were Christian. which I fixed up. How many Mattel have I fixed up? 2, I gave Elite Matt Hardy the Jakks DA scan, and swapped out a few knee pads.
