Just a lil something Ive thought up much like how we can go back and change history. Ill give the details and you go back and rebook it. First up will be the Wrestlemania 4 Tournament. Now here is the kicker. No matter how you rebook it, you have to have Savage vs DiBiase in the finals. Can you rebook the tournament and make it better then what it was??? Give it a shot!!
Hulk Hogan Andre The Giant Randy Savage Ricky Steamboat Ted DiBiase One Man Gang Butch Reed Jake Roberts Rick Rude Bam Bam Bigelow Jim Duggan Don Muraco Greg Valentine Dino Bravo
Here is my booking.....
First round DiBiase vs Muraco Bravo vs Bigelow
Savage vs Valentine Gang vs Roberts
Rude vs Duggan Steamboat vs Reed
Second Rd Hogan vs Andre DiBiase vs Bigelow
Savage vs Roberts Rude vs Steamboat
Semifinals Hogan vs DiBiase Savage vs Steamboat
Finals DiBiase vs Savage

simply out of curiousity... how do you book dibiase to beat hogan, that isnt essentially the same thing as the double dq that hogan and andre went through in the previous round. at that point in history, dibiase beating hogan clean, while in retrospect looks amazing, would not have gone over well... backstage (hogan-wise) or with the fans, so the only reasonable thought is to have andre interfere... which essentially does the same thing as the dq did earlier, except gives hogan another clean win over the myth that was andre. to allow a savage/dibiase final... hogan/andre was booked correctly as a double dq. THOUGH... i hate hogan beating andre clean in the middle of the card, and currently cant think of a way to have hogan beat andre dusty. however... if persay hogan does beat andre, goes on to face dibiase, and andre does help dibiase to beat hogan... it does help build up dibiases role, with the whole selling of the world title a bit earlier. and then adds to hogans 'friend' beating dibiase later on for the belt. still... i think it was booked better, with the hogan/andre double dq, giving dibiase a bye to the finals. really, the only way to rebook this, is without the limitation of having to have savage vs dibiase in the finals... which is essentially the best way to book it anyway. the only other way id go... is andre over hogan, with dibiases help and dibiases assumption that andre would lay down for him, only to have andre fight him, and win, to go onto the finals to have savage vs andre for the belt. savage wins, with a whole cluster of interference from hogan and dibiase. but this way, it kinda blows up a year of storylines, first off likely making andre a face again, by defeating dibiase... then with the megapowers/megabucks... and then hogan/savage. wrestlemania 4, in retrospect id say, was actually booked fairly solid.

i like G2's booking of the tourny, but I think the original was the best way to go. Hammer made some great points, and to expand on what he said, I feel that booking Savage against two top babyfaces like Roberts and Steamboat on the same card would have killed a lot of his face heat. The crowd would have already been deflated from watching DiBiase pin Hogan clean, then two other top faces would have been beaten cleanly by a face. Does not go over well.

yeah i don think i could top g2's thats pretty solid, id prolly have savage still go over and then have diabiase win the title later, then back to savage at the next ppv or something, well when ppv meant something and there were like 4, and thats just cause i think diabiase should have been champ around that time.

I never stated how DiBiase would beat Hogan but if people want to know it wouldnt have been clean. Of course Andre would interfere and DiBiase would get a HUGE win over Hogan. That gives added heat to DiBiase and helps Savage in the long run. Look at how Savage won the title. He beat Reed, Valentine, OMG and DiBiase. All of which have a combined 0 world title reigns and 1 IC title reign. It looks really weak on Savages part. On top of that, DiBiase didnt beat anyone in the tournament with any credit either. By DiBiase defeating Hogan it gives him a huge heel rub and then if you wanted he could go over Savage and just blow through the roof or have Savage win dropping the heel that just beat the former champion.
