Cool that they confirmed Sheamus + Ryder. Also awesome that we get titles. I think Melina should have the women's or diva's for sure! I'm very happy with the info on the divas. A wwe barbie?

Interview was fairly informative. I thought it came off better and we got more info. than the TNA one. However, I am shocked that there was no questions regarding the Jeff hardy figure that was recently on ebay and whether it will be released into mass production. The reason I was sure it would be was cuz they asked TNA about Jeff Hardy and when we would see a figure of him. Considering Jeff does not work for TNA and hasnt worked for TNA in years on years.......this seems more appropriate for WWE.

They are probably a little embarrassed and upset that it made it's way to retail. Mattel and WWE are certainly in the honeymoon phase of there relationship and neither wants to do anything to upset the other.

Wow a lot to digest. Cant remember the last time i heard an interview with so many answeres and very few 'in the future'/'stay tuned'. Belts so soon and PAINTED is awesome! Cant wait to hear the 6th name of series 2 legends, i get the feeling its going to be big. Enrique seemed like he wanted to spit it out (quite a few bits of info actually) but held back. Interesting about steamboat being leaked but hey at least we got to see series 2 from it. And an arena by the end of the year?!?! Wow! Also shame to see PJ go, the guy seemed really into the line and was great to us.

I don't understand why he said WMH is a TRU exclusive. I've seen them at Target & Walmart but never in TRU. The interview was pretty decent but I wish my question about the signature series had been asked. I think he mentioned that series 2 would be.

That's Enrique from Jakks! He was in charge of TNA/UFC! I know him! That's crazy he went from Jakks to Mattel!
Great videos btw!!!

This was a great interview which was very informative. I am surprised Mattel referenced the last chat and recognized how discontent the WFIGS members were with the outcome of the chat. PJ is personable, a great communicator and witty.
With this said, I am going to monitor how the transition from PJ to Enrique unfolds. PJ was very successful in a short time period. Therefore, Enrique will be pressed to continue this success and improve upon it. I am positive Enrique has the energy, experience and budget to continue this success but only time will tell. As you can see from the interview he is a huge fan.
The Legends line needs a person with these qualities. I can only imagine who the last superstar will be in Legends Series 2. Although, I can only imagine it would be Macho Man, Ultimate Warrior, Bret Hart, Owen Hart or Texas Tornado. I can not wait. I also enjoyed the news of Mattycollector.com exclusives (I love what they are doing with Ghostbusters on there) and EG MDM with the MD belt.
Thank you Mattel

However, when Tim asked it during the Jakks Q/A......I thought for sure it was logical to ask it for Mattel.

I think this was really cool since they answered a lot of questions so that was great. Cool that they plan to make all of the belts in foam since it would be cool to see their versions of certain ones.

Yaaay! they answered my question about the knee pads! Maybe people who had their questions read will win a free figure or some kind of prize? That would be COOL!

On the back of the Steamboat Package he is wearing the ic title, so far mattel has stayed true to the character carding matching the figure. I know it's not in the proto box but anyone think they might add that?

Great interview, good questions answered as well. Just want to know about who's replacing Dreamer in the 2-pack with Christian.

While I agree that it would nice to have the WWE Champion as soon as possible we have to consider that 1) it was pretty unexpected and Sheamus probably wasn't on Mattels radar for this year and 2) they have been working on tons of stuff for the launch and all this stuff for Toy Fare that was in the works long before Sheamus started working out with Triple H. Another thing he noted in the interview, the actual colors for Sheamus' skin tone and hair don't even exist in the Mattel portfolio yet. Combine that with his title win coming out of the blue, you can see why it's taking longer to come up with a Sheamus. I doubt they even had him scanned before the title win. I'd imagine there would be a range of skin tones "cooked up" ahead of time for the planned lineup this year. Then Sheamus shows up and gets thrown into the mix. It's probably not easy to come up with a whole new color of plastic you can only use for one guy in the entire brand, especially if you hadn't planned on doing that this year.

I think the comment about Sheamus' skin tone was a joke.
