Well almost one year ago today I stopped collecting Jakks WWE figures after my figure collecting started to wind down to around one or two figures over a few months. I didn't have the spare money and had basically collected all the figures I wanted so last year packed up my arena display and figures and put them to rest.
I wasn't going to start collecting again with Mattel and get back on an old habit but looking at the pictures some people have posted they just seem great. (Not sure if Mattel are just starting with a bang though and the attention to detail will eventually wind down come next year)
I'm thinking about collecting just ONE series to keep my collection small and not just 'buy everything' for the sake of it, but I would like to know peoples opinions on which to buy seems you guys have actually seen them Loose and MOC in person.
I'm torn between Entrance greats, Classic series or WrestleMania heritage, anyone got any more info on these series?
Thanks for any input and if anyone has any images of these series that would be great.

I'm not just going to limit myself to a specific series. If I like the look of the figure, i'll buy it regardless of what series it's in! However, I do favour basic and elites. I have little interest in flex force and the entrance greats haven't really grabbed me. When a Rock entrance great comes out i'm sure that will change though!
Basics are what they say they are really, basic. They're great for displaying though because they don't have as many joints as elites. Elites are good because of the added artiulation and the acessories, not to mention the packaging which can remain perfect even after taking the figure out. The packaging opens and closes at the side, so you don't have to destroy it!
So yeah, i'd say just collect what ever from what ever series, because there are good figures in each!

Even though they are elite, I'd go with Classics.

I'm not sure how far this 'Entrance greats' series can go because theres is only so many guys who have had a special entrance attire and usually its the same person (Mysterio, HBK, HHH) maybe they will just re-release guys in different entrance attires not sure?
And the WrestleMania series is kind of like a Classics-Lite series, or does anyone know weather it is kind of like Jakks PPV series where it wont always be titled WrestleMania and change to No way out, Summerslam etc?

Mattel keeps sending different signals. One day the WrestleMania line is its own line, the next day it's in the PPV line as PPV 1.

they might be a little more expensive, but Elites are def. the way to go. Rather than buying 2 or 3 or MORE of a certain superstar, just shell out the extra 1/3 of the price for 1 fig that's good for Entrance AND Ring attire. (speaking of Entrance attires, Entrance greats aren't so great, i mean, maybe at Elite prices, but at least DOUBLE the price of a Basic single fig, not worth it. - i mean, they're cool, but saving jpgs of them will be sufficient for me.)
if not, i guess i'd collect either the Legends of the PPV series (which i think is the WM Heritage). PPV might be cool because if you keep 'em moc, every series should have a different carding, but if you like 'em all to line up nice and moc then Legends might be the way to go. also, depends on if you like to focus on CLASSIC or CURRENT superstars. personally, i'm focusing on Currents and thats why i originally said Elites.
bottom line Mattel > Jakks
other best part is that some of the RA guys aren't that bad next to the Mattels - as long as they're kind of a bigger guy - like the DH Smith looks good next to the Mattels, my Kendrick not so much. so my JAKKS CLassics will remain RA, and i'll only get guys that i really like in Mattel's Classic versions.

I would collect the legends line of i was you. I mean entrance greats are nice but they are kinda pricey and you don't really know how many are released so it''ll take a while to build a decent collection.

Well, it's unfair to comment on the Legends until it actually comes out. But, I'm not the biggest fan of Elites, they're not horrible, but I just love the Basics line. Therefore, I'm gonna say EG and/or WM Heritage.

Personally, go with Elite style. That way you can get a current line and Classics and they wont be different body styles

I am a basics fan. I will also buy the legends line. I just wish the legends were in basic form.

well there aren't going to be very many entrance greats released compared to the others so if you go that route you will not get many figs.

As far as the current rosters go I've been cherry picking between Basics, Elites, Entrance Greats, etc. I plan to collect the Legends line heavily though. It really comes down to you though, if you like a figure get whatever series it's from.
