so i went to TRU after class today. first thing i gotta say is it was really poorly stocked. there were figures on each peg but only 1 or 2 on each and they were all either wrestlemania heritage or flex force. there was also one EG hhh and one EG rey. i bought the hhh. i also bought a second stone cold so i can do an easy flair fix up. i noticed a lot of people use cody but that requires some painting. with austin u just need to switch the head remove the braces and lower the knee pads. also im probably gonna switch the arms out with evan bourne arms due to the wrist tape. this switch would also give bourne wrist tape. ill post a pic later. next to the mattel figures i noticed there was a TON of jakks figures. so many CS rereleases. i thought stores were supposed to stop selling wwe jakks figures yet i see more now than ever and there seems to be new ones being released (the all scale figures for example). i would have bought koko b ware and rnr express but there was one register open and the cashier is a major b**ch. every time she has to make a comment about the stuff i buy. so i just bought 2 figures. anyway i was extremely disappointed to not find any elite 2 or basic 2. UPDATE: here are some pics of my flair fix up first is a body shot: its a little blurry but u can get the idea. ill be changing the forearms when i get a chance.  this is a close up of the face and upper body: i need some feedback on this. the royal rumble ttl flair head didnt work so this was the only head i had right now. its kinda big but it doesnt look horrible. should i just leave it like that or should i change it and wat head should i use?  |

Most TRU's, at least in my area, are going through a re-shelving process and moving things around. They've told me that they should be receiving new shipment this week to compensate for the extra space so check later in the week.

MY TRUS are as well in the rebooting process. That means there is a better chance for stuff like PPV2 so im happy.

What did the cashier say btw? I've always been worried about mouthy cashiers, but never encountered one.

I've always been worried about mouthy cashiers, but never encountered one. well i waited around in the isles for a while until i saw a second cashier and i timed it perfect to go to the register while she was taking a cigerette break so she didnt say anything this time. but last time i went with my cousin and i bought some figures and he bought some cards and we decided to pay together cuz it would be quicker. so first she wasnt even standing behind the register but she was close by. so my cousin asked if she was a cashier to which she replied "nooooo but while im near the register i might as well ring u up" so she rings us up and goes "ok that $103... on toys to plays with... only in america.... awww and ur going halfsies too... who gets the change?" |

I hate to get people in trouble, but you should talk to her manager. There is no reason you should feel uncomfortable shopping in that store. You got calm nerves, to let that lady talk to you like that. I'd make it a point to always make smart-ass comments about her piss-poor choices in the work force that landed her a job as a miserable cashier at a toy store. Only in America can a pathetic loser hate on someone else for being able to afford luxuries/hobbies like this. It's even funnier since you mention you're in school. I'd toss any coins I got back at her feet and tell her to buy back some of the pride she must lose every day ringing up people more successful than her.
Anyways, the Flair looks ok. The arms look way too big, but that can be fixed as you come across more parts. The head looks like it may be a little too big as well, but it works for what it is right now.

The head looks like it may be a little too big as well, but it works for what it is right now. yeah its more of i just felt like shes not worth it to bother finding the manager who probably wasnt even there (that TRU is pretty much dead. every time i go in there the employees outnumber the customers probably 2 or 3 to 1). also wen i was there i took a look at the gi joes and there was a bench press figure with the plastic bubble barely still attached to the card and it had no head. i may check out kmart on friday after class (i usually only check mondays and firdays cuz i only have one class those days and im finished before lunch). |

Did you try a Flair R3 head? i dont have an r3 head yet. i thought it would be exactly the same as the royal rumble ttl head but apparently its slightly different. unless a better suggestion comes up ill look for an r3 flair head. |

Flair and of course the R3 Flair. As you stated, its hollowed out like R3 and RA heads where. The TTL head sat down on the bodies so the neck was flat.   |

I'm sorry, but that figure look exactly like Chris Benoit with that lighting. The definition and the short stick arms. It looks like a re-release of R3 Benoit. You could make an amazing Benoit figure out of a Mattel. Anyway, for the record I think the R3 Flair head might be scaled slightly smaller to fit the R3 body. It looks like it will turn out well.
