So, is Mysterio vs. Punk a Street Fight or not? It sounded like it wasn't but I'm not too sure. It is not. The only stipulation is that if Mysterio loses, he must join the Straightedge Society. I said it before and I'll say it again; Punk NEEDS to win at Wrestlemania. This feud is so hot and has been only going on for a few weeks now. If Punk wins at Mania and Mysterio is forced to follow their group, it'll just continue the intensity of the feud. Not to mention how behind Mysterio the fans are right NOW, they'll be molten lava hot when he were to finally break away from SES and face Punk again. This seriously could be the feud of the year, if Punk wins at 'Mania.

I hope history doesn't repeat itself this year. In the past two years, a match has been pulled from the main card to the pre-show, and there has been a squash match. I firmly believe every match deserves to be on the card and every match deserves ample time.

Bret Hart said in an interview this past week in Canada that he will not be donning his trademark pink and black tights for his No Holds Barred Match with Vince McMahon at WrestleMania. His reason for not wearing the tights is because he’s not the Bret Hart of old and that it would be too much of a stretch for himself to wear them.

Punk/Mysterio should get 10-15 minutes of match time.

Every match on the card needs to happen on the main show. If the card stays like this and the pre-show has a RAW vs. SmackDown battle royal or something, it will be perfect.
I'm counting on a divas match to be added that will spoil the card.

Just thought I'd throw this in here too, what I really like about this years WM is that I am really looking forward to the undercard matches as well. The build for the main event matches are usually good, so we are excited for them. But dont really get a good build for the undercard. They started the Triple H/Sheamus buildup in one night and actually had a nice touch to it. Triple H's promo was fantastic. Mysterio/Punk is getting a lot of air time on Smackdown! and if given enough time, these guys can really put on a great show. Legacy match has been building up for months now and I know a lot of people are looking forward to seeing Orton RKO both guys 1000 times... well maybe just me. The Tag Match is getting a little build on every show. Even NXT they are doing something between the rookies/Pro's. (Truth/Miz) IDK, maybe I'm just overly excited because I can go on and on about how much I love this yrs Mania.

Although it would be nice to see him wear some sort of modified singlet instead of the shirt.

I think Bret could still pull off the tights. Has he seen Hogan's gut lately? Also one of my friends reckons Vince will screw HBK. I hadn't really thought about it and it could happen (like x7 with Rock). I still think HHH is gonna be the one though

It would be the most logical of scenarios and continue to give the both of them something to do. I view this match in the same vain as Matt vs. Jeff from last year, I didn't think Matt had a chance, but I was so happy to see him win. The feud could turn to gold if WWE plays their cards right.

Well with only 7 days before the big show, Ill throw in some of my recent thoughts:
This Wrestlemania has came fast. I blame that on horrible build up. I recently spent time looking at the RAW results for like the last 5 or so weeks heading up to Wrestlemania 23, and that got me more excited just remembering them then this Wrestlemania has in present time. No Joke.
There hasent been enough fighting and interaction between superstars. This close to Wrestlemania, the majority of combatants should have the whole citys security prying them from each other.
Cena and Batista's feud has been nothing special besides their promo from two weeks ago.
Edge and Jericho has had horrible build, I dont think i need to go any further.
Bret and McMahon has had a pretty solid build seeing as it goes back to january. I like it.
Undertaker and Shawn has been really good, but I feel theres not enough heat. Their repeating the same formula. Just... monotone.... but really good..... but still monotone........ promos...... because Undertaker..... if I dont beat you....... I have no career..........
Legacy should have been done since the Royal Rumble. As long as their stable has been together, they need more then a handful of weeks to show how much they hate each other now.
Rey vs. Punk has had a really good build for the short time its been going. I wish it had more time, Im really loving the S.E.S. Though I dont think they need Mysterio in it.
Dont get me wrong though; I'm very excited because bad build up aside, Im banking on the actual card to deliver all on its own. I really dont see any bad matches happening except for Sheamus and Triple H, which I dont even think will be that bad, but it just wont be able to compete with any others.
And is it weird that im predicting Vince vs. Bret to be a bloodbath? Im also seeing blood in the Triple Threat. Which I predict will be accidental. I see Shawn blading too, so that should he lose, he goes out in a blaze of glory lmao.
Ill make another post later on my actual match predictions and what-not

As much as I doubt it happening, a part of me REALLY see's Hart/McMahon having blood. And a lot of it too.

As much as I doubt it happening, a part of me REALLY see's Hart/McMahon having blood. And a lot of it too. Yeah. I mean I know people say Blood doesnt make the match, but I really dont see how this match will make it without blood being the saving grace. Because we all know Vince cant wrestle to save his live, and at this point Bret's probably just as bad, I just see it going as one of two ways 1. Vince knows his match needs it and already plans on using blood. 2. The match is already going bad, and Vince makes an in-match decision to bleed as a last resort.

I firmly believe every match deserves to be on the card and every match deserves ample time. I agree. All the matches including the likely diva match should be given enough time. I hate squash matches that is stupid. And dark matches are good but not any of the ones that are announced yet and the divas match too. A battle royal would be the best thing for dark match. I just hope that this WM is a lot better than last.

I agree with the other people saying that some of the matches need blood. I'm not a massive fan of superstars bleeding all the time, and it seems a bit unnecessary (see TNA iMPACT for the last two or three weeks), but I mean WWE feuds are lacking without a bit of blood. Hell in a Cell last year just seemed stupid without any blood. They're in a massive roofed cage made out of steel!
And Bret Hart/ Vince McMahon is such a big deal, and McMahon has treated Bret so badly in the past that Bret needs some real revenge. Normally making the opponent see their own blood pouring down their face is a good way of getting it.

I cannot express how excited I am for Mania. WWE really seems to be making up for the abortion that was WrestleMania 25.
Punk v. Mysterio, Taker/HBK II, and Jericho/Edge are my most anticipated.......I really wish I had the cash to fly out to Glendale.

I hope theres no really short matchs this year, like Chavo vs Kane & Rey vs JBL.
