FYI, there is an Xbox 360 Demo for this available RIGHT NOW. Thanks bro. I'm trying it out right now. I'm so glad I preordered this. Loved that little P.O.D. trailer in there too. Anyway, back to the demo...

I'm so glad that this game is finally releasing. I've been following it's development for quite some time now and with every new bit of info that came out, I just kept getting more and more excited.
Glad I've already got my pre-order paid off. Can't wait for June 1st!

Well after playing the demo I certainly appreciate Madden a lot more. Awful, just awful.
I guess now I realize that my ideal football game would be if you gave the 2K5 team the current Madden engine and let them go from there. Whenever a studio deliberately tries to do everything differently from EA it just doesn't turn out well. I would probably put Blitz: the League ahead of BackBreaker in terms of overall fun factor. Worst of all, I didn't even notice the Euphoria engine at work. If the tackles were all unique I didn't notice, or simply was too bored to notice.

I felt nauseous playing the demo. It's like playing the "first person" version of Madden, but worse, because it's a zoomed-in third person. It's absolutely awful to watch.

Awful. I'll stick with Tecmo Bowl on the NES as my Madden alternative.

I guess I'm the odd man out here when I say that I actually enjoyed the demo. I definitely find it more fun than All-Pro 2K8. I'm certainly not going to buy it, but it's on my Gamefly list now.
I don't know what 505 is planning on doing, but if they sell it for $60, they're out of their minds.

I don't know what 505 is planning on doing, but if they sell it for $60, they're out of their minds. The retail price is only $49.99. I didn't think there would be this much hate for Backbreaker. I really enjoyed the demo. Sure, it's not the perfect football game and it may not be better than Madden, but it's still enjoyable. The customization factor is what's probably going to sell the game more than anything.

I don't think this game is awful at all. It has some really good features to it, it feels like you're really on the field and the physics are great.
But it is way to hard to see and control what's going on, which leads to frustration and a lack of fun. So to just dismiss it as awful is way too knee jerk, in my opinion. But it does need a LOT of work.

Once I was able to adapt to the awkwardness of how the game controls and feels, I was really starting to feel it and could see it being a decent enough game if they had used this as a tech demo and asked people what they thought needed to be modified.

Bought it today, I see why many may hate it, but I love it. Sure its harder than madden, but hell, alternatives are great.

Im loving it, but Tackle Alley is so pissing off. I got all the way up to 72 with 50-something lives, by the time i moved on to 73 I had 25ish. Finally lost on wave 79.

I played the PS3 version of the demo yesterday, Tackle Alley is hella fun, I'm also gonna purchase this game.
PS: The camera angles kinda throw the game.
