A sketch to be performed by Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen at Sunday's Oscar ceremony has been axed, reports say. According to the New York magazine, an Academy Awards spokesman confirmed that the British actor was no longer scheduled to perform at the Oscars. It is thought he had planned to poke fun at James Cameron's film Avatar in a comedy routine with Ben Stiller. The actor's agent told the magazine's website the decision had been made because of "creative differences" ------------------------------ I don't watch the oscars but it sounds like it wouldve been funny

They don't trust him? It's not like he would come down from the ceiling and fall balls first into George Clooney's mouth or anything.. Oh , wait.

You have to remember this is a guy that made his name on gaining people's trust, then putting on a shock show at their expense while the cameras rolled. The Academy was probably nervous about Sacha Baron Cohen form the get-go, on the chance they'd be the next unassuming victim.
The Academy isn't known for having a fantastic sense of humor in the first place, so I would have been more shocked if they actually went through with it.
